Chapter 909: Chapter 438: Heart-Mirror Bodhi, the Path of Kui Ba

A scroll of Sutra of Salvation can reveal the affairs of one’s previous life.

The revolving lantern of Corpse Body Buddha, in a certain sense, is neither a Buddha nor the lifetime of a person, but rather a negative embodiment of numerous monks and practitioners of the Western Heaven Buddhist realm, a delusion mercilessly cut down.

It is like garbage casually discarded by the monks, wandering outside the four corners of the world.

Besides seeing those stripped malign roots, Xu Qing also witnessed countless desires for greed, anger, and ignorance wandering without a physical body, seeking new forms to inhabit.

The monks casually cutting and banishing these evil corpses, meanwhile, remain outside, enjoying the peace brought by the Buddha realm to them.

Due to the influence of these banished worldly corpses filled with the three poisons, various wrathful auras such as killing, stealing, sexual misconduct, and deceit breed in the murky world.

Before the Five Filthy Evil Worlds, there were still those with compassionate hearts, abandoning social status, incarnating as living Buddhas to save the world, doing their utmost to cleanse past karma.

But when calamity struck, the gates of the Pure Land were closed tight, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas avoided appearing, inadvertently allowing evil corpses to rampage, bringing chaos to the world.

If one wishes to ascend to immortality, they must sever the three corpses: the upper corpse likes adornment; the middle corpse enjoys flavors; the lower corpse revels in lust...

If one wishes to become a Buddha, they must sever the three poisonous corpses, these three are greed, anger, and ignorance.

The greedy corpse, craving wealth, lust, fame, profit, and status, to the extremity, is akin to a thirsty person madly drinking saltwater, the more they drink, the thirstier they become, unable to cease.

The angry corpse makes a person despise and resent society, blame heaven and others, inexplicably breeding hatred, resentment, anger, jealousy, and other emotions.

Such people, when anger becomes insanity, harm others and themselves, leading them to completely lose reason and compassion.

Whereas the ignorant corpse is the most harmful and fundamental evil corpse among the three corpses and three poisons!

This corpse, also known as the corpse of ignorance, encompasses no self, no permanence, and no dharma, when ignorance reaches its peak it becomes stupidity and ignorance, unclear about right and wrong, deludedly mistaken.

In his early years leading disciples of the Great Ra Sect to preach from place to place, Xu Qing once salvaged a three-year-old child.

The child’s mother was a woman afflicted with an obsession disorder. At that time, seeing other parents amuse their children by pushing them on swings, the woman, out of affection for her child, upon returning home, sought a rope, imitating others by hanging her child on a crooked-neck tree.

However, while other children sat on a seat, the woman fastened the rope around the child’s neck.

The child, unaware of the danger, after being hung, only knew to struggle, unable to utter even a cry.

Instead, the woman joyously pushed her child, personally committing the sin of murder.

Can you say her initial intention was malevolent?

Buddha declared this as the ignorance, the foremost among the three poisons.

And this is merely the least seen aspect of selflessness within ignorance.

Besides, more common are the sound-minded individuals with no dharma, no permanence.

Though their intellect and physique are unharmed, internally they are ignorant, unaware of laws, unable to discern good from evil, or perpetually confused between right and wrong, lacking self-awareness—most of such individuals are far from the path!

Xu Qing salvaged thousands of evil corpses filled with the three poisons, accidentally and solely achieved ’return salvation,’ a great endeavor meant to be undertaken by the Buddhist sect over millennia, completing it in an instant.

Relying on this endeavor, he traversed to the peninsula in the realm of Mount Sumeru, obtaining a ’Bodhi seed of heavenly grade.’

The seed uses Xu Qing’s spiritual platform as soil, once buried in divine scenery, it sprouts, in a brief moment, a towering ’Heart Mirror Bodhi Tree’ rises from the ground.

The heart mirror, with pure perception of the mind, aware of one’s intentions, discerning others’ thoughts, can reveal another’s karma and fate, while also viewing one’s own dust in the heart mirror, assisting in cultivation.

Apart from divine techniques, under the Bodhi enclosure, it can also expose flaws in others’ cultivation techniques or past defects, it can move forward to sow demon attack on the heart, retreat to illuminate rescue with Buddhist teachings revealing one’s true self. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Aside from divine abilities, Xu Qing’s Flying Corpse Dao fruit also undergoes metamorphosis.

During the Three Corpse Transformations, Xu Qing used Yin-Burning Fire as the foundation for Fire Corpse, Unstable Black Water as the base for Black Corpse, further using Wood-related Divergent Wind as the life attribute for Fur Corpse, establishing the basics of three transformations and non-decomposition.

Now Xu Qing, surpassing Undying Bone, enters the Flying Corpse realm, requiring more anchoring proof items for the three types of Kui Ba.

Such treasures to prove the Dao fruit position are rare in the world.

If present, they are mostly primordial items with masters or have been utilized by the sacred, becoming proof instruments belonging solely to them.

Xu Qing, pursuing the path of the Kui Ba Three Transformations, must inevitably find three essential instruments.

Previously collected Three Lights Divine Water can serve as the water demon instrument, and now the appearance of the Heart Mirror Bodhi unintentionally provides Xu Qing direction for future proof of Fur Demon.

Currently, Xu Qing is one step away from the Kui Ba Dao Fruit, that is to find the drought demon instrument.

Regrettably, such supreme treasures are elusive, even if Xu Qing wishes to search actively, he lacks a starting point.

After obtaining the Bodhi instrument, Xu Qing again strangely picks up the Corpse-Body Buddha’s Corpse-Dissolving Sword.

At this time, the Corpse-Dissolving Sword has transformed anew, becoming a Wisdom Sword wrapped in Bodhi branches.

Corpse-Body Buddha possesses the three poisonous bodies, and the heavenly-grade Wisdom Bodhi Sword just happens to be the nemesis of the three poisons.

The Wisdom Sword can sever the root of worldly troubles.

If the sword-bearer harbors compassion, external evil fates may be dissolved.

If the sword-bearer embodies ’right view,’ aided by the Heart Mirror Bodhi’s power, can pierce through all illusory realms, always revealing one’s true self.

Now Xu Qing is planted with Bodhi, unexpectedly achieving the ’Corpse-Body Bodhisattva’ fruit position with the body of Fur Corpse.

Wisdom, compassion, right view, Xu Qing not only is no longer troubled by the three poisons, but instead gains three kinds of transcendence.

It implies that if he proves the Kui Ba Dao fruit in the future, then when transforming into Fur Demon, his revealed form will be the original essence of Bodhisattva.
