I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 63: Night Snack
Blaze opens his eyes. He is sitting on his bed and was controlling Isaac from afar.
Isaac is a good pair of watchful eyes and does not require sleep nor drink, so Blaze ordered him to observe the Roof earlier in the evening.
Blaze was just thinking that maybe he could learn something else from the police. Mostly to check if they are truly corrupt to the core.
Now he knows. Even the chief of police is working with Cavalcante. He knew everything that was happening and let the Roof did whatever they wanted.
Adam Gulliver needs to go.
And the System seems to also agree.
[Mission: Kill the Police Chief

[Sub Reward will be calculated depending on who you choose to assign as the Chief of Police. The better they are to fit the role, the more reward you will receive.]
"As if it is that easy for me to choose the next Police Chief."
Blaze mumbles.
He may have a lot of powers and magical pieces of equipment, but Blaze does not have any influence on Akansa at all.
It’s not like he can just point at a random person and he can become the Police Chief tomorrow.
This Optional Objective will not be an easy task.
But well, that is for tomorrow to think about. Blaze was having the sweetest dream when Isaac suddenly communicated with him via telepathy.
He closes his eyes to feel Isaac’s location. The raven is currently flying around in the city sewer, making sure no one is following him.
Blaze’s voice echoes in Isaac’s mind.
"Find me a secluded area in the desert. Stay in that area and do not return to the house."
"Understand, Master!"
The raven continues its path.
After arranging Isaac, Blaze drops himself on the bed and falls asleep again. He needs his beauty sleep.
The night continues to pass.
Around five in the morning, Alyson wakes up from her dream.
She and Kana are sleeping on the same bed. Kana is extremely clingy when sleeping together. Blaze’s mother hugs Kana tightly all night.
It was very unfamiliar to her in the beginning, but she didn’t hate it.
Alyson just isn’t used to feeling so much affection.
Her cold father has never been so close to her. They don’t even talk like a family, so a parental figure like Kana is a very new experience.
Kana made sure Alyson was taken care of. They shared a small, gentle conversation before bed.
Kana mostly talked about Alyson’s feelings and wanted to check her mental well-being after the little fight with Marshall.
Kana also brought comfy clothes for Alyson to wear, making sure she could have the best sleep possible.
Alyson wears Kana’s shorts and T-shirt to sleep. Its stretching and cool fabric is really a blessing to sleep in.
She finally knows why Blaze loves his mother so much. Kana is a gentle, loving being.
And soon, Kana should become her mother as well.
Alyson carefully gets off of the bed without waking Kana up. Her body is so warm and soft, making leaving the bed much harder than it should be.
It is entirely different from sleeping in Alyson’s cold and lonely apartment, where she has had to sleep alone on the big bed for years.
So this is what family feels like...
Alyson thinks.
She leaves the bedroom and goes to the kitchen to find something to eat.
Her power, Animalistic Fusion, provides Alyson’s extreme physical advantages over normal people. The most noticeable is her durability.
But that is only a C-rank power, so its strength is very limited, and it has a lot of weaknesses.
The most bothersome weakness is Alyson is always hungry. She is hungry like a 200 kg fat lion that can never stop eating.
Luckily her metabolism is also enhanced. If not, her perfect curves may have turned into a bubble ball already.
Alyson opens the fridge. Light shines out from inside the door, partly illuminating her face and figure.
The fabric is thin and tight-fitting, revealing the outlines of her body clearly in the night.
Blaze woke up a few minutes ago. It’s time for him to go to the desert. He sees Alyson in the kitchen and freezes in place.
Blaze likes Alyson for sure. He can even say that he loves her. But this love was pure and was out of appreciation for Alyson.
She was always there for him and trusted him when no one else did.
But romantically, Blaze really doesn’t have many yearnings toward Alyson.
Never until now.
Her perfect lips are basically glowing in the night. Her long red hair flows freely over her shoulder.
She bends down slightly to take whatever is in the fridge, which causes her figure to be emphasized.
Blaze’s heart flutters.
He approaches her.
"Can’t sleep?"
Alyson looks over and smiles brightly. Her white teeth contrast the pink lips outside.
"No. Not really. I was just hungry."
Alyson takes out a bag of potato chips from the fridge.
"That isn’t good for you. Come. Let me cut some fruit for you."
"Oh.... It’s alright. I don’t want to bother you."
Blaze chuckles.
"No bother. Follow me."
The two sit down at the dining table. Alyson places her hand on the table and rests her chin on her palm.
She silently watches Blaze cut out slices of mango for her.
"You are very skilled with the knife."
"Yeah. When Mother isn’t around, I make the food, so I am very familiar with the knife.
I don’t cook as well as her, though. But I think it is acceptable to eat." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Alyson shows her white teeth with a wide smile again.
"You’re too humble, Blaze. I tasted your food before. It is very good."
Blaze only smiles in response. He puts all the mango slices on the dish and places it in front of Alyson.
The two sit beside each other, not too far away and not too close to touch.
"You know. About what my father said. If you don’t want to do it, you don’t need to help me. I can find a way out on my own."
Alyson speaks up, purposefully avoiding Blaze’s gaze.
"No talking while eating. Very easy to choke."
"Sorry..."
Blaze continues, "Why do you even say that anyway? I already promised that I will help you."
Alyson gulps everything down before answering.
"But I don’t want to force you, you know. It’s like...
It’s because..."
Alyson lets out a long sigh.
"Beating that guy means you will have to marry me."
Alyson finally looks directly at Blaze’s eyes, meeting his intense gaze.
Her round blue eyes are gleaming in the night, charming the cold-blooded Wraith, the vengeful spirit of the night.
"You still have a long future ahead, Blaze. And I don’t want you to make a decision you will regret later.
There are a lot of girls out there."
Blaze moves slightly forward, intruding in Alyson’s private space.
This catches her so off guard that her entire body jumps up a bit, dropping the fork onto the fruit dish.
Blaze doesn’t say anything, though, and only observes her closely. It’s as if he’s measuring every millimeter on Alyson’s face.
Alyson’s spine straightens itself, and she sits still like a frozen statue. Her smooth cheeks become redder and redder with every second.
Her bright red hair writhes gently and wants to blossom into a lion’s mane, but Alyson tries her best to control her power.
"I’ve never broken a promise, Alyson."
