I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 131: Soul Knight

According to the Spellbook of the Death, there are a total of five ranks of Undead Warrior that a Necromancer can create. From bottom to top, the list consists of Necros Soldier, Grave Skeletor, Death Knight, Undying Marauder, and Stalking Nightwraith.

The weakest being Necros Soldier, a simple animated corpse that is extremely easy to kill and has no special properties. However, they are undead and won’t feel hurt or pain. Necros Soldiers can be very relentless in huge numbers.

Grave Skeletor retains most functions of the living and also enhances its agility greatly. A skeleton that moves as fast as a leopard and can rush at you on all fours like a demon from the underworld.

Death Knight is the strongest in the low-tier undead and requires an exceptional specimen in order to create. The corpse has to be in pristine condition, and Blaze would need to have collected more components for the spell in order to create the Death Knight.

The fourth and fifth ranks of Undead Warrior, Undying Marauder, and Stalking Nightwraith are only mentioned in the book without any actual instructions or knowledge on how to create them. Blaze thinks it is probably in a more advanced book of the Death. He will definitely have to visit Francois later to make sure he can find the next book in the series. If Francois doesn’t have it, at least he can provide some clues to where Blaze can find it.

That is the normal version of Animated Corpse. However, the soul version of Animated Corpse, Blaze, has no idea what it will end up being. The Necrosis Destruction Wand did tell him that due to the special state of the Lantern of the Damned, he can use other spells that he would normally be unable to use on soul form. However, the actual result of it is unknown.

Blaze observes Zach carefully. The green energy covers him whole and creates a screen of smoke that hides him from the outside view. Blaze can see that his smoke is inserting itself into Zach, filling his empty soul with physical components that are usually only possible with Ethereal Soul.

But the power of Animated Soul is very different from Ethereal Soul. Ethereal Soul’s power comes from the Lantern, so even when gaining a physical state, the yellow outline will always be present on the related soul, making them different from a normal living being.

This process feels different. It is a combination of the power of the Lantern of the Damned and Blaze’s own knowledge about Necromancy. The result can be very surprising.

The green smoke dissipates, and inside it, a warrior with a large frame and hulking figure. He is almost three meters tall with a black, spiky armor covering his body. Zach has lost his face, instead there is only a black mask sticking on an all-black body.

The prior Deputy of ACPD no longer has any skin. His body is made of a black bark-like material that is similar to the texture on the Necrosis Destruction Wand. Green flame exudes out of his eyes.

Zach reaches out his hand. A black spear manifests out of thin air and falls into his palm. His original power, Tool Manifestation. It has changed twice in his life. One to become the Spear of the True Sun and now, the Spear of the Legion.

The top of the spear is burning in a mythical green flame.

Without any order from Blaze, Zach drops down on his knees. "My Lord General... Commander Zach Dunn is ready for battle!"

"Stands up."

"Yes, my lord!"

"Who are you, right now? Still Zach Dunn?"

"I am but a husk of my previous life. The memory of this soul is of Zach Dunn, but its soul and purpose now serve only you, Lord General!"

"I see. Why don’t you show me what you’ve got?"

"Yes, my lord!"

Zach bows religiously and walks backward without turning his back toward Blaze. Only when he is far enough away does Zach turn back and start striking a desert boulder. His black spear suddenly grows longer, doubling his reach. He already has a very far reach with his three-meter frame. Now with the long-ass spear, he is now basically a walking tank with a range attack.

The spear cuts through the boulder easily like a knife cuts into butter. The boulder gets slashed in half, revealing a smooth cut in the middle.

"Impressive!"

"I do not deserve such a compliment, Lord General!" Zach turns toward Blaze and bows his head again.

"Please. Do not be modest. With this strength, you can even take on me in the Lightning Ascension state."

"I do not dare to do such a thing, Lord General."

By simply observing that short strike, Blaze can feel that Zach at least has half the physical attributes of the Crimson at his highest. One must remember that Crimson is a B-rank that can easily vanquish an A-rank Awakened. Zach originally was a strong B-rank; with the help of the Sunstone, he could have A-rank power. But in no way could he defeat an A-rank. Blaze easily took him out with Lightning Ascension from before.

"Since you are here. I need some information from you." Blaze still hasn’t looked into the soul of Zach yet. He still doesn’t know where Zach received the Sunstone from.

Those special rocks may help Blaze to charge the Sun Bird, making its Hidden Power usable again.

Adam knows a bit about this Sunstone, it was provided by the True Sun cult. But his faith was waning, so he didn’t dive deeper into the world of the True Sun Cult. Therefore, he doesn’t know much about the Sunstone either.

Zach, on the other hand, was a fanatic till the day Blaze killed him.

Blaze reaches out his hand to try and examine Zach’s soul in this form. He is very cooperative. Zach approaches and kneels down for Blaze to touch his head.

The power of the Lantern activates without any issues. Blaze looks into Zach’s memory.
