I Inherited Trillions, Now What?-Chapter 90: Parents Meeting
Few minutes earlier
Inside his office, Alexander sat behind his desk, going through some files that, to anyone else, would seem nonsensical—except for him and his butler. The file contained names like Subway, Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, Cinnabon, Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin’, and others, including The Cheesecake Factory and Arby’s.
To most, seeing the world’s richest man reviewing such a file with deep concentration would be confusing—’why is he reading about Cheesecake Factories?’ would probably go through their mind—but to Alexander, these names represented the future. They were the backbone of all his plans. As he pondered this, a knock sounded at the door.
He didn’t lift his eyes from the file. "Yes," he said.
A middle-aged voice from the door responded, "Master Blackwell."
"Come in."
Sebastian entered, his eyes on Alexander, who remained focused on his work. The butler hesitated, a worried look on his face, unsure how to voice what he needed to say. Sighing, he finally spoke.
"Sir, the school just called."
Alexander gave no reaction.
Sebastian took a deep breath and continued, "They said your presence would be required at the school grounds by tomorrow at the latest."
Still, Alexander did not look up. "Inform them that I am busy and will not be able to make it," he said blankly.
Sebastian almost felt a bead of sweat roll down his temple. "That’s the thing, sir. They said it’s compulsory. The parents of all Montgomery students must attend, or the student risks expulsion."
Silence fell over the room.
Finally, Alexander looked up, his cold black eyes locking onto Sebastian’s. The butler couldn’t help but think how familiar those eyes were—they reminded him of his former employer’s.
Alexander’s voice dropped, colder than usual. "Did something happen for them to say that?"
"I’m not sure, sir. Their new headmaster called and stated that ’the kids did something’ and that your presence is required."
Sebastian stood, waiting for a response. He knew his master didn’t take kindly to threats, especially when they involved his daughter and his family name. If he didn’t go, his daughter could be expelled—if the school decided to back their threat. And while the Blackwells were wealthy and powerful, they couldn’t throw their weight around in this school. It had existed for decades, educating the children of the world’s elite while educating they themselves when they were younger. Their wealth might not match the Blackwells’, but their influence and network of connections were unparalleled. They had the power to make such threats real—something Alexander had rarely encountered and something he didn’t like.
Sebastian stood still, unsure of what to expect. But the next words that left Alexander’s mouth were not what he had anticipated.
In a calm voice, Alexander said, "Okay then. Call Phil to ready the new jet. Inform the team and tell Everlyn to meet us at the airstrip."
Sebastian blinked, momentarily stunned, then quickly responded, "Right away, sir."
He turned and left to carry out the orders.
Alexander sat back in his chair, releasing the file from his hand. His fingers tapped rhythmically against the desk as he muttered, "All the Montgomery kids’ parents, hmm… I could use this opportunity to meet him."
In an open airstrip in New York, a massive private jet was parked outside with a helicopter positioned to the side. Everlyn stood there, having just landed, speaking to a man in a pilot’s uniform. He had a kind smile on his face, appearing to be in his early to mid-40s. Despite his gentle expression, his voice was loud and full of energy.
"Ha ha ha! Everlyn, how are you? It’s been how long?" he said, grinning at the cold-faced woman walking toward him.
Everlyn simply nodded and said, "Mr. Jones, how are you?"
Paul chuckled. "Still with the ’Mr. Jones,’ are we? You know, I’ve told you to call me Uncle Paul, but you’re just so stubborn," he said, amused by her formality.
"You know, I carried you when you were still a baby. The least you can do is call me Uncle, ehn?" Paul said, moving closer for a hug. Despite her cold expression, Everlyn hugged him back. His voice dropped as he asked, "How are you, kiddo?"
"I am fine," Everlyn replied.
Paul hummed before releasing her. "And what of Alex—oh, sorry, should I say Mr. Blackwell now?" he said with a big grin. "Is everything okay with him? I heard about his recent spending. That doesn’t sound like him."
"It’s probably just a phase," Everlyn replied.
Paul laughed. "Well, it’s not like I’m complaining. I mean, look at this!" He gestured toward the massive plane near them. "The first time I saw this baby, I was blown away. that’s what I call a plane!" He whistled, still every bit as impressed as when he first saw it.
While inspecting the aircraft, he added, "And I hear we’re going to Switzerland. Is there something there, or does the master want to visit the young miss?"
Before Everlyn could answer, the loud chopping sound of helicopters filled the air. Both of them looked up to see two choppers bearing the Blackwell symbol approaching for landing nearby.
Everlyn smirked. "Why don’t you ask him yourself?"
They both watched as the helicopters landed, and a group of security men—four in total—emerged, two from each chopper. The guards scanned the area with sharp, watchful eyes before stepping aside. From the front helicopter, their boss, Alexander Blackwell, descended, clad in his usual black suit.
As Alexander strode toward them, the atmosphere shifted. Paul, who had just been laughing and joking moments ago, instinctively straightened his posture. He was affected by the change in atmosphere Alexander’s presence commanded.
Reaching their front, Alexander stopped walking, his guards halting behind him. Paul spoke up, "Mr. Blackwell, I just want to say it would be an honor flying you today."
Alexander gave a slight nod. "May the flight be peaceful, pilot."
Paul nodded back. "Yes, sir." With that, he turned and entered the plane. All the bravado of earlier vanished in the face of Alexander
Everlyn stood still as Alexander approached, stopping directly in front of her. Their eyes met—black staring into hazel—until Alexander broke the silence, his voice calm yet firm. "Let’s go in."
Entering the plane, Alexander took in the interior for the first time. It was an extravagant marvel of design and luxury. The massive jet featured a sleek bar stocked with the finest liquors from around the world, its marble countertop illuminated by soft golden lighting. Plush leather seating and handcrafted wooden paneling lined the cabin, exuding elegance and refinement. A spacious lounge area boasted a state-of-the-art entertainment system with a massive OLED screen, while a glass-walled conference room stood at the far end, complete with high-tech communication equipment.

Moving further inside, Alexander arrived at a secluded space that appeared to be the plane’s private office. He stepped in, Everlyn trailing closely behind, while the security team dispersed, exploring the massive aircraft with quiet efficiency.
Sitting in the chair behind the desk in the spacious office, as if it were the most natural thing, one wouldn’t know it was his first time there. Everlyn stood nearby, observing her boss before speaking. "I have informed Mrs. Longbottom about the modifications to be made, so soon they should meet your standards."
Alexander, barely acknowledging her words, simply said, "The kids."
Everlyn frowned slightly, momentarily confused. "What kids?"
After a brief pause, Alexander clarified, "The Montgomery kids. All the parents—give me a brief and detailed list of all the kids and their parents."
Everlyn hearing that just nodded not sure what was happening but saying " yes sir well the kids and their parents are..."
