The stereotype that one thought would happen didn’t happen in the end.

It was actually quite good.

All of them kept pushing things onto me.

It was clear by the way that they did this that they were trying to show off their own cooking. After all, they even glared at each other as they pushed these dishes towards me.

They wanted to show off their own abilities while pushing aside the others.

But it didn’t seem like they were that different in the first place.

Or at least it was the same for me since I was someone that just didn’t have a good palate to begin with. I was someone who had eaten whatever I could get, so it wasn’t as if I knew the difference between different foods.

At the same time, I could see how the others were looking at me.

I asked for help, but they acted like they didn’t see anything. However, I could see that there were traces of jealousy that were in their eyes.

In the end, it was a normal housewarming party without anything special happening.

My worries were unfounded...or that was what I thought until I heard some sounds in the middle of the night.

When I was about to go to sleep, I suddenly heard some small sounds in my room.

"It can’t be...They actually bugged my room? Or did they put some kind of camera here?"

This was my fear since the housewarming party, especially when I saw the way that they looked around the room when they first came in. With the way that they were looking around, it should have been easy for them to find the places that they needed to do something like this.

Then it was all a matter of doing it in secret while no one was watching.

There had been plenty of opportunities like that during the housewarming party.

So there was no ruling out that they might have actually done something like that while I had my back turned.

As such, I got out of the bed and started looking around the area.

I made it seem as if I was just getting out of bed because I had forgotten something, but really I was carefully looking around me as I tried to find whatever was making that sound.

But it really didn’t seem like there was anything there.

Even when I looked carefully, I wasn’t able to find a single thing.

So the only thing that I could actually do was use my time stop ability.

The moment that the time stop came out, the sound completely disappeared.

As the sound disappeared, I went in the direction that it came from and looked carefully.

What I found completely caught me off guard.

It wasn’t what I expected to find, rather it was something that I never imagined.

Reaching out, I grabbed the thing that I found before releasing the time stop skill.

The moment that the time stop was released, I could feel the sensations coming from my hand. The thing that I had grabbed was trying to break free of my grasp, but I didn’t let it go.

This was what seemed to be a little girl with wings.

"A fairy?"

"What did you do to me?" The little girl suddenly asked as she looked up at me with a terrified look.

"Well, I just made sure that you wouldn’t be able to do anything dangerous. After all, this is my house and you’re the one trespassing." I said with an awkward look on my face.

"Your house? You humans and your concept of owning things. This is a free world and everyone is free to live wherever they want." The little girl said in a way that almost seemed like she was right because of how confident she was.

"No, even if you want to live wherever you want, you shouldn’t live in a place that already has a resident." I said while shaking my head.

But then instead of getting sucked into the pace of the little girl, I said, "First off, what are you? Second, what are you doing here?"

The little girl tried to look away as if she didn’t want to answer this, but eventually she gave up when she realized that she couldn’t move. So she just said, "I’ve been here longer than you! It’s just that you humans have never noticed me before...As for what I am, I’m a fairy. Can’t you tell something as simple as that?"

A bitter smile appeared on my face when I heard this before I said, "I’m going to need a lot more information than that."

"Let me go or else you’ll be sorry!" It didn’t seem like she was in a talking mood.

In that case...

"Tell me what I want to know."

There was a slight daze that appeared in the eyes of the little fairy girl before she slowly started explaining what she was doing here.

Though the explanation that she gave really wasn’t that helpful.

In fact, it didn’t even seem like she knew what she was doing here.

She just found herself in this place one day and she had been living here ever since. She had made sure that the humans didn’t find her until now.

"Being discovered by you is my biggest mistake." She said in a voice that seemed to be filled with regret.
