I can upgrade the shelter-Chapter 767 - 665: Security Rotation Plan
The subsequent reception of the city and its civilians by the local authorities did not cause much of a stir, except for the envy and jealousy from the troops sent to take over the city towards the Exoskeletons worn by the Flame Country’s special forces and the various uniquely designed machines of the Titan squad. The entire handover process proceeded quite smoothly.
However, this incident did indeed stir up quite a commotion; after all, the Flame Country had directly employed military force within German territory, captured a city, and eradicated an armed faction.
Such actions were previously unthinkable, considering Germany is a sovereign state with its own military and territorial sovereignty. For another country to use force within its borders and capture a city is undeniably a slap in the face for them. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
But under the current circumstances, when such an event occurs, both Germany and other European nations do not first think about recovering their lost face.
While they do wish to regain face, what these countries see in this incident is the powerful combat capability and rapid response ability of the Flame Country’s military.
From the kidnapping of the Flame Country citizens, the reception of the distress signal, the launch of the escort ship, to the special forces exterminating the militants and capturing the city, the entire process took less than five hours.
While the Flame Country’s military’s decisive attack and the overwhelming force disparity between them and the militants are significant factors, aside from the Exoskeletons and Titans—equipment that European militaries are gradually acquiring—the Land Ships that allow rapid troop deployment have indeed incited envy from other countries.
If they too had Land Ships and could establish a rapid response force to maintain domestic order, their situations would not have deteriorated to such an extent.
However, under no circumstances would the Flame Country relinquish the Land Ships.
Despite several discussions among European countries, they failed to achieve their aim, and had to give up on the idea of acquiring the Land Ships.
Nevertheless, apart from that, the countries also became aware of the degradation of their own domestic order, leading them to adopt a circuitous approach and reach a new agreement with the Flame Country.
"A brigade from home will be dispatched to Europe, utilizing small Land Ships as rapid response units at the company level, to assist European countries in maintaining order," the military high command reported the latest agreement reached with the European nations to Chen Xin.
After inquiring about the specifics of this agreement, Chen Xin was somewhat surprised: "Those Europeans are actually allowing us to deploy troops within their borders?"
"In fact, they have long desired us to send troops; it’s just that the homeland had difficulty allocating sufficient forces. Previously, only a regiment from the Support-to-Europe Fleet was sent. Now, this brigade is formed from reserves, and Europe will need to prepare their equipment and other necessities," the high command explained to Chen Xin, expressing that although reserves had been deployed domestically before, sending them abroad for combat was a first-time trial.
Fortunately, though it is a reserve unit, a substantial portion comprises recalled veterans, ensuring the overall combat effectiveness of the unit is reliable.
Yet currently, there are no spare resources domestically to arm them, and they had to be loaded onto cargo Land Ships and shipped to Europe for Chen Xin to arm them.
"Regarding equipment, Academician Chen, you don’t need to worry. An agreement has been reached with Europe; they will provide resources for equipping this force and producing Land Ships," the high command continued explaining to Chen Xin, as many aspects required his involvement: "Europe’s requirement is to split this brigade into company-level units, then dispatch an equivalent force to collaborate with us, utilizing small Land Ships to maintain regional order.
For European countries, rapid troop mobilization under current weather conditions is impossible, leaving them no choice but to adopt this method."
Hearing this, Chen Xin couldn’t help but frown slightly. The Europeans calculated well—letting Flame Country assist in maintaining order while also utilizing their equipment, a substantially advantageous deal for them.
However, Chen Xin did not oppose the plan; after all, the European situation is an absolute mess, and his primary wish was to have a domestic unit dispatched to maintain order. Now that an agreement with Europe has been reached, he was naturally pleased.
"And what about the equipment for these European soldiers? They aren’t expecting us to supply them, are they? Or are they planning to use their own equipment?" Chen Xin asked the high command. Equipping his own military posed no issue, but he needed to ensure clarity regarding the European forces.
Although the Support-to-Europe Fleet is providing equipment to the European nations, each piece is meticulously accounted for, ordered by the European countries with resources, not given freely.
"Their equipment, like that for the brigade we’re sending, will be uniformly provided by the Support-to-Europe Fleet. But don’t worry, they’ll supply additional resources for producing these weapons," the high command reassured Chen Xin, explaining further: "The European nations essentially plan to arm a unit trained with our equipment package. Once equipped, they aim to quickly develop combat readiness through policing actions. This way, they can rapidly build a force with reasonable combat capability.
Then they intend to deploy this force to the front lines to rotate with front-line units. After reinforcing, the rotated units will continue executing order-maintaining tasks in collaboration with our forces, while also undergoing equipment replacement.
This rotation aims to ensure adequately equipped new weapon units for the frontlines. In this regard, the Europeans’ plan is indeed well thought out—arming and training their troops while withdrawing heavily depleted front-line units for rotation, achieving multiple objectives simultaneously."
"Indeed, this plan is quite exceptional. Rather than producing and sending equipment directly to the frontlines for them to familiarize themselves in a short time, this approach saves considerable effort," Chen Xin appreciated the plan, nodding in agreement: "As long as they can promptly provide the materials needed for manufacturing equipment, there’s no issue on my end."
This plan is undeniably well-conceived. The Flame Country’s forces aren’t rotated, maintaining over half of their "veteran" numbers consistently, whilst the European side rotates their "new recruits," allowing rapid familiarization with new equipment, forming battle groups, and returning them to the front lines to replace fresh "recruits," creating a virtuous cycle.
Meanwhile, these personnel won’t be idle, maintaining order and enhancing national conditions and dynamics, effectively strengthening country management.
