Aaliyah was silent upon hearing her words. What Edith said was indeed the truth. Hesitancy flashed across her face as she was conflicted between two choices.

"What are you two talking about?"

Miguel’s voice was suddenly heard, taking Aaliyah out of her contemplation.

The two girls looked at each other before Aaliyah transformed into a streak of light and entered the grimoire. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

"You’re done breaking through too soon?" Edith stated this in surprise after shaking her head due to Aaliyah’s actions.

Miguel nodded his head and clenched his fist strongly.

"What realm are you in now?"

"I’m at the 7th stage of Cleansing Realm. In Martial Artist rank, the grimoire stated that I am as strong as an Advance King Rank Martial Artist now," he replied as he took a quick glance at the rainbow grimoire that was now floating in front of him.

"A major rank upgrade? That’s a lot." Edith was surprised once again.

A Martial Artist would even take a few years just to upgrade a minor realm, but Miguel was able to do so in one setting. From Advance Grandmaster to Advance King Martial Artist, this was definitely unheard of in the history of Wild Beast World.

Edith was also considered a genius back then, but her degree of improvement was definitely not this fast and ridiculous. Her master was truly at the top of the world in terms of talent.

"Being as strong as a King Rank expert, then you must be able to defeat me now," she sulked after realizing this fact.

Although she did not show it to Aaliyah earlier, she was actually a little bit worried like her as well.

Miguel chuckled, seeing her sulking face. "You’re worried about that?"

Edith nodded her head and expressed her worries to Miguel truthfully. She also shared what she and Aaliyah talked about earlier.

Miguel was actually surprised that the two of them felt that way. He did not realize that Aaliyah had actually bottled up her feelings for so long. This feeling accumulated and was slowly birthing resentment. He knew that this was not good, as he didn’t want to estrange himself from the two of them.

He had already accepted the two of them as his women. He did not do it because they were his summons; it was due to his genuine feelings.

He explained it to Edith patiently. Allowing her to understand that he will not leave and neglect them even if he becomes stronger than them.

He knew that this would sooner or later come true, as he was confident in his own abilities. His current strength was not even a fraction of what he had in his previous life. With his vast experience, if he would not be able to reach the same height, then it would be better if he just lived a normal life in the countryside by now.

Edith was rather open-minded. After she saw Miguel’s confidence, she did not feel bad and even felt proud about it. Her worries were also wiped out after Miguel’s reassurance.

Sometimes, it was all that anyone needed to calm down their worries.

Miguel also tried to summon Aaliyah and explain it to her, but it was to no avail. It seems that she doesn’t want to go out yet. Miguel did not force her out. He knew that she also needed time to sort out her feelings as well, so Miguel just let her be for the time being.

At this point, Miguel also admitted that he had indeed neglected the tortoise. He had not summoned it before due to the fact that it was weak and due to the time limit and time constraints.

Aaliyah was indeed right on this part. However, he had the realization that he had been seeing it wrongly this entire time.

The tortoise was his contracted beast, and he should not look at it as if it were an object or a weapon that he could discard if it had no use.

Now that he was already an Intermediate Elite Summoner, he could now summon three contracted beasts at once. Each of them will have a two-hour duration limit in the real world and will be forcefully unsummoned after the time was up.

With that in mind, Miguel no longer wasted time and summoned the neglected Scorching Water Tortoise.

The moment it was summoned, it immediately looked around in alertness, searching for the enemy that it would face. It’s long neck and chubby face then looked at Miguel in confusion after realizing that there weren’t any.

It looked at Miguel as though saying, ’You did not summon me for a long time, and now you summoned me without any enemy to face?’

Edith’s eyes lit up once she saw the cute Scorching Water Tortoise. She immediately squatted down right in front of it and started to rub its head.

"So cute and adorable. Is this my neighbor?" Her eyes twinkled as the tortoise’s chubby face puffed up due to frustration.

It wanted to get away from Edith and come closer toward Miguel, but how could it escape Edith’s grasp? It was pinned down by her on its shell using only one hand.

The tortoise looked at Miguel as though begging for help.

Miguel merely chuckled at the side, amused by the interaction between the two of them.

He could not deny that the Scorching Water Tortoise was indeed cute. Especially now that it was being snuggled by Edith like it was a teddy bear.

Miguel let them be and did not interrupt.

The tortoise still had 2 hours left to experience such a thing; he could only pray for it.

As they played, Miguel stayed at the side and just watched.

It looked like Edith was truly fond of anything cute. At least, she was very fond of the tortoise and seemed to give all her focus to it.

Miguel slowly cleaned up the mess he created by cleansing his body as Edith and the tortoise continued to play with each other. It was mostly Edith trying to chase and tease the tortoise, though, and the latter only seemed to have interest in Miguel as he kept on running towards him every time Edith purposely let go of it.

After its duration was finished, Edith laughed merrily as she commented, "That tortoise is cute and adorable but quite dumb."

Miguel did not deny it, as she was right.

"Maybe because it’s just at Silver Grade now. It has the potential to be something great, though," he said.

Edith nodded her head in affirmation.

"Low-grade beasts are indeed dumb and have little to no intelligence. Most of the time, they only follow their instincts, and that’s why their summoners must train them well."

"Do you think a beast’s intelligence early on has a massive impact on a beast’s potential and future achievements?" Miguel suddenly asked curiously.

Although he already knew the answer deep inside his heart, he still wanted to hear Edith’s opinion about it, as she had experienced more of this world compared to him.

She nodded her head as she came to his side. "Yes. But in low grades, it doesn’t have that much of an impact. In truth, a Gold Grade beast that has as much intelligence and self-awareness as us is out of the ordinary. Heck, even the Diamond Grade Beast that I fought back then doesn’t have such capabilities."

"Are Diamond Beasts very strong?"

"Yes, they are. When a beast reached such a level, they would gain the ability to fly naturally, even if they didn’t have wings. Their cores would be very condensed so that they could use them to fight enemies during times of desperation. Even though their intelligence doesn’t allow them to speak human words, they were still smart enough to plot against humans if they wanted to. Right, a Level 1 Diamond Grade Beast can easily defeat a Level 2 Gold Grade, and a Level 2 Diamond Grade Beast can easily defeat a Level 4 Gold Grade Beast."

"Aside from that, they also possess terrifying and destructive skills and Innate Skills that complement them during a battle."

Miguel nodded his head in understanding. Although he still could not gauge the strength of a Diamond Grade for the time being, at least he already has a vague idea of what to expect when he meets one.

Being at an equivalent strength as a King Rank, he could feel that his strength had more than doubled compared to when he was still at Advance Grandmaster. This was in terms of the physical body alone; his real strength could still not be defined easily due to his various skills and methods.

"Right, I suddenly got curious. What was your rank before your death? And can you tell me all the ranks between it and King Rank? If you know the grade of beasts and summoner rank, it’s good if you can tell them to me as well."

Hearing that, a proud smile hung on Edith’s beautiful face as she said with a puffed chest, "I was pretty strong. I almost reached Transcendent!"
