I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 516 Parents meeting (10)
Alina nodded immediately. "Yes. He is very close with Lucien."
Felix’s ears twitched, but he did not interrupt.
"They understand each other without talking much," Alina said. "Lucien is very calm, very observant, and Felix is similar. They balance each other."
General Yuki gave Felix a sideways glance. "Good ally choice."
"And," Alina added gently, "he talks to almost everyone. Maybe not loudly. Maybe not first. But he is included in everything."
Felix looked slightly surprised at that.
"He helps Boo sometimes when Boo is too energetic," she added carefully.
"I am not energetic," Felix said. "He is chaos."
Aine laughed brightly.
"And with Rocky," Alina continued, "he is very patient. And with Kelpie, he tolerates a lot."
Felix muttered, "Kelpie is very splashy. He wet my fur."
From another table, Kelpie shouted, "I HEARD THAT."
Alina hid a smile and continued, "And with Luna and Drake, he pretends he is annoyed, but he still stays with them."
Felix did not deny it this time.
Aine watched her son for a long moment, her expression softening in a way only mothers could.
"He is happy here?" she asked quietly.
Alina did not hesitate.
"Yes," she said gently. "He is."
Felix’s tails stilled completely.
"He is comfortable," Alina added softly. "He can be quiet here. He can be smart here. He can be a child here."
Aine reached across and gently smoothed Felix’s hair.
"My cub," she whispered, smiling warmly.
Felix looked away, but the tiny upward curve at the corner of his mouth gave him away completely.
Alina stepped toward Kelpie’s table, her steps slowing naturally, her smile softening the moment she saw the warmth already present there. King Corvus and Lady Maris both looked up at her with open, welcoming expressions, the kind that made her nerves settle without effort.
"Miss Alina," King Corvus greeted warmly, inclining his head slightly.
Lady Maris followed with a gentle smile that reached her eyes. "Teacher."
Alina returned the smile, then noticed the neat stack of papers already placed on the table, carefully aligned as if they had already gone through each page together.
"Have you seen his papers?" she asked softly, resting her hands lightly on the edge of the table.
"Hmm," Lady Maris nodded. "He wrote everything well."
"He did," King Corvus added, his voice filled with quiet pride rather than loud celebration. "Very steady work."
Alina’s chest warmed at that. She glanced at Kelpie, who was already turning pink, his shoulders curling inward as attention landed on him.
"He is very good," Alina said gently. "Very focused when he wants to be. And very cheerful."
Kelpie made a tiny embarrassed sound and immediately hid half his face inside his mother’s sleeve, gripping the soft fabric like it was a shield.
Alina laughed softly.
"And he is especially strong in science," she continued. "Especially when the topic is water."
Kelpie’s ears turned even redder.
"I like water," he muttered into the fabric, his voice tiny and shy.
Lady Maris stroked his hair lovingly. "We know, my little tide."
King Corvus chuckled warmly. "He is interested because one day he will rule water."
Kelpie peeked out slightly, his eyes wide. "Dad..."
"What?" King Corvus said proudly. "It is truth."
Alina smiled, but spoke gently, grounding the moment in something steady. "He asks very good questions. Not just what, but why. That is rare."
Both parents straightened slightly, listening closely.
"He also helps other students understand when they are confused," she added. "Not by showing off. By explaining slowly."
Kelpie blinked, surprised. "I do?"
"Yes," she said warmly. "You do."
Lady Maris pressed a kiss to the top of his head.
"My little current," she murmured.
"And," Alina added with a tiny amused glint, "he is very expressive. If he is happy, everyone knows. If he is excited, everyone knows. If he is bored..." She tilted her head playfully. "Everyone definitely knows."
King Corvus laughed loudly.
Kelpie hid again. "Teacher..."
"But that honesty is good," Alina said softly. "It means he feels safe here."
The table went quiet for a second, the kind of quiet that felt full rather than empty.
Lady Maris looked at Alina with deep gratitude. "Thank you for seeing him like this."
Alina shook her head gently. "He makes it very easy to see."
Kelpie peeked out again, his cheeks still pink, but his eyes shining now with a quiet, happy glow.
Luna folded her arms tightly across her chest, her small nose scrunching in dramatic offense as she looked toward Lady Maris and King Corvus, clearly determined to present what she believed was very serious evidence.
"But Aunty," she said, her voice full of wounded dignity, "he is very splashy. He splashes a lot of water toward me when I have lunch or when I sit at my desk." She pointed accusingly at Kelpie. "He makes my food wet and sticky. Whenever he gets excited, he splashes water everywhere."
Lady Maris blinked once, then pressed her lips together, clearly fighting a smile.
King Corvus’ shoulders shook slightly, a quiet rumble of laughter escaping his chest before he could stop it.
Kelpie’s eyes widened so much they looked ready to fall out of his face.
"I do not," he said quickly, shaking his head so fast his hair bounced. "It is not on purpose."
"You flooded my sandwich," Luna said flatly, glaring at him.
"That was one time," Kelpie said weakly.
"It was three times," Luna corrected immediately.
Alina pressed her lips together, trying very hard to stay professional, but the corner of her mouth betrayed her.
Lady Maris finally let out a soft laugh, reaching down to gently pat Kelpie’s shoulder. "My dear, when you get emotional, your water aura leaks."
Kelpie froze.
"Leaks?" he whispered, pretending to be shocked, because he did not want anyone to know he did it deliberately to annoy Luna.
"Yes," King Corvus said, still amused. "Like tiny tides."
"I am leaking on Luna?" Kelpie asked in pretend shock.
"Yes," Luna said, dead serious. "On my lunch."
Alina finally stepped in gently, crouching slightly so she was closer to their level. "It is true that sometimes, when Kelpie feels very strong emotions, a little water energy releases around him," she said carefully. "But he is learning to control it."
Kelpie looked at her like she had just handed him hope.
