Chapter 371: Chapter 371 Strong tooth

"Maybe a little," she said honestly. "Your gums might feel tingly or funny. But that means your new teeth are on the way."

Boo lifted his fingers. "Teacher... Boo lost TWO teeth before. Boo swallowed them. Boo worried Boo would grow teeth in tummy."

Alina blinked. "Boo... no, that cannot happen."

"Oh..." Boo relaxed. "Good."

Felix tilted his head. "Teacher... do fox cubs lose teeth too?"

"Yes, Felix," Alina said warmly. "Everyone loses baby teeth. Wolves, foxes, dragons, vampires, merfolk, ghosts with physical forms—everyone."

Luna raised her hand proudly. "Teacher, when I lose teeth, I bury them. My mom says it brings strength."

"That’s a lovely tradition," Alina smiled.

Rocky raised his hand. "Teacher... will my teeth fall?"

Alina nodded gently. "Yes, Rocky. Even stone babies lose their baby stones."

Rocky gasped dramatically. "I will... crumble?"

"No, sweetheart," she laughed softly. "Just the tiny teeth stones. Not the whole Rocky."

He sighed in relief. "Okay."

Alina looked around at the room full of little wide eyes.

"Losing teeth is normal," she said again. "It means you are growing healthy and strong."

Then she looked at Kelpie, brushing a strand of his hair gently behind his ear fin.

"And Kelpie," she said, warm and encouraging, "your missing tooth is nothing to hide. It shows you’re growing up."

Kelpie pressed his lips together, testing the empty space with his tongue. "But Teacher... I look weird. Will everyone laugh at me?"

Before Alina could answer, Boo floated closer, lowering himself until he was eye level with Kelpie.

"Kelpie," Boo whispered dramatically, "if anyone laughs, Boo will haunt them."

Kelpie blinked. "Really?"

"Yes," Boo nodded with grave seriousness. "Boo will appear under their bed and say... boo boo booo."

Drake raised his hand in horror. "Teacher, please tell Boo not to boo me!"

Felix sighed with mature disappointment. "Drake... Boo boos only for justice."

Luna folded her arms. "If someone laughs, I will growl at them."

"And it’s normal to lose teeth when you’re a baby," Lucien said. Last year he lost his tooth too, and Dad told him it was a normal process all babies go through.

Vlad Jr. nodded gracefully. "A lost tooth is a sign of development. It is nothing to hide."

Kelpie looked overwhelmed, his little fins wiggling uncertainly. "Everyone... is okay with it?"

"Yes," the class said in a strangely unified chorus.

Alina gave his head a soft pat, watching his expression slowly loosen, the fear melting into something shy and relieved.

"See?" she whispered warmly. "You’re not alone. Losing a tooth is something all of you will go through. It doesn’t mean you look strange. It means you’re growing."

Kelpie sniffed and wiped his little face. "Teacher... will my new tooth be strong enough to bite crunchy snacks?"

Drake gasped. "Yes! Very important question!"

Felix’s tails curled in excitement. "Ask about biting chewy snacks too!"

Alina laughed softly. "Yes, Kelpie. Your new teeth will be strong. Strong enough to eat whatever snacks you like."

Kelpie straightened proudly, his confidence returning. "Okay. Good."

Boo whispered loudly to everyone, "Kelpie is growing stronger tooth... but still baby."

Kelpie threw a tiny piece of chalk at him, which Alina had dropped near his desk. "Boo!"

Boo squeaked. "Teacher, he attacked me with rock!"

"That is chalk."

"It felt like rock!"

Standing up, Alina sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose before smiling again. "Alright, little ones, settle down. We still have more to revise before break ends."

Drake immediately raised his hand. "Teacher... I think my other wrist is also hurting."

"No, Drake."

Boo floated onto his desk and held up his tiny ghost tail. "Teacher... Boo’s tail is tired."

"No, Boo."

Luna stretched across the table. "Teacher... my brain needs meat."

"That is not a medical condition, Luna."

Felix pointed at his tails again. "Teacher... my tails—"

"No, Felix."

Rocky lifted his stone hand solemnly. "Teacher... my elbow is heavy."

"That is because it is made of stone."

"Oh."

Sable peeked shyly from behind his notebook and whispered, "Teacher... my shadow feels dizzy."

Alina closed her eyes for a moment, took a deep breath, and opened them again with a peaceful smile.

"Children," she said warmly, "nobody is dying. Nobody is injured. And nobody is getting out of math."

The babies groaned in perfect harmony.

Even Kelpie groaned with them, clutching his poor toothless mouth as if the sorrow of education was too heavy for one little sea creature to bear.

Alina looked at all of them...the dramatic poses, the tired faces, the exaggerated suffering and her heart filled with warm, helpless affection.

She clapped her hands once, gently but firmly.

"Alright. Everyone sit straight. We’re going to practice a few problems together, and I promise they will be easy."

Drake raised one last hand. "Teacher... will losing teeth make math easier?"

"No, Drake."

He sighed heavily. "Then what is the point of growing..."

Kelpie nodded sagely. "Yes... growing should give powers."

Boo whispered gravely, "Maybe new tooth will really give you shark power."

Kelpie gasped with hope. "Really?"

"No," Alina said quickly.

Kelpie slumped.

The class laughed again, soft and chaotic, and Alina tapped the board gently, her voice warm.

"Come on, little ones. Let’s begin."

As soon as the bell rang, the classroom exploded into motion. Chairs scraped, notebooks snapped shut, and tiny feet pattered wildly toward the door. Every baby sprinted out with the urgency of warriors escaping battle.

Alina lifted her brows, trying not to laugh at how dramatic they looked while fleeing a simple math class.

"Hah..." she chuckled softly. "They really ran fast today."

"Hahaha!" Boo instantly copied her laugh, floating in front of her like a sparkly echo. His voice was high and playful, as if he had been waiting for this exact moment.

Alina narrowed her eyes playfully. "You didn’t run away with them?"

Boo floated closer, placing a tiny ghost hand over his heart and making a dramatic pouting kissy face. "How should I run, teacher? You’re too beautiful. My eyes got stuck."

Alina gasped softly and pointed at him with mock scolding. "Oh my god, Boo! Who is teaching you things like that?"

"Hehehe!" Boo covered his mouth and turned around, shoulders shaking with secret laughter. "No one, teacher... no one at all..."

Alina shook her head, smiling helplessly. "Alright, my dramatic little cloud. What is your gossip today?"
