I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 372 A royal scandal
The moment she said the word gossip, Boo’s entire body lit up. He did one full dramatic spin in the air, his eyes sparkling like stars.
"Oh yes! Gossip!" he said, dragging out the word as if it were the most important treasure on earth. "Teacher, I got goooooosip related to Vlad Jr.!"
Alina blinked, caught between curiosity and amusement. "Vlad Jr.? Really?"
"Yes!" Boo said, bouncing in the air as if he couldn’t physically contain the excitement. "And it is very juicy!"
Alina rested her elbows on the desk and leaned closer, smiling. "Alright then, my drama king. Tell me everything."
And Boo’s face lit up with pure mischief, ready to unleash the chaos.
He inhaled dramatically, placing one ghostly hand on his chest. "Teacher... you will not believe... the scandal of the century."
Alina tried not to smile. "Oh? A scandal?"
"A royal scandal!" Boo whispered loudly, floating closer. "It is actually a weeeeeek-long gossip. I forgot to tell you because the principal came in our way. Argh! Vlad Jr. was practicing his princely speech in the hallway. You know... ’My dear citizens, please stop climbing the castle walls,’ and all that."
Alina bit her lip to keep from laughing. "Yes, that sounds like him."
"But then..." Boo said, eyes widening mischievously, "he tried to walk like a prince at the same time. You know, the fancy vampire walk he does. Head up, chest out, tiny steps like he’s carrying ten centuries of royal dignity."
Alina nodded. "That’s exactly how he walks."
Boo raised one finger. "Teacher, he looked amazing. Truly. He could have ruled ten empires with that walk."
Alina smiled. "So where is the scandal?"
Boo leaned in.
"He tripped on his own cape."
Alina’s eyes widened before she burst into laughter, though Boo’s dramatic storytelling made it even funnier. "He tripped?"
Boo nodded quickly. "But teacher wait—this was not normal tripping. This was elite tripping. He fell so gracefully that he actually bowed to the floor."
"What?!"
"Yes!" Boo said, twirling with excitement. "He hit the ground and said, ’Apologies, Earth. I did not see you.’"
Alina slapped a hand over her mouth. "No way..."
"Oh, there is more," Boo said proudly. "Then Rocky came to help him stand... but Rocky was so nervous he turned into a rock mid-help... and rolled down the hallway."
Alina had tears in her eyes from laughing. "Oh poor Rocky..."
"And Sable tried to catch Rocky," Boo continued, flailing dramatically, "but Rocky was rolling too fast, so Sable’s shadow tried to grab him, but instead... it grabbed Vlad Jr.’s cape."
Alina froze. "No."
"Yes." Boo nodded gravely. "The cape came off. The prince was... cape-less."
Alina gasped dramatically. "A tragedy indeed."
"Exactly!" Boo threw his arms up. "Vlad Jr. stood there like he had lost a national treasure. He said, ’My image... is ruined.’"
Alina wiped her eyes, laughing so hard she could barely breathe. "Oh Boo... this is unbelievable."
Boo nodded proudly. "I saw everything. I am witness of royal disaster."
Alina patted his head gently, still giggling. "Thank you, Boo. Your service to the kingdom is noted."
Boo floated a little higher, chest puffed up. "Anytime, teacher. I always bring important news."
"And chaos," Alina added.
"Yes," Boo agreed happily. "Especially chaos."
Boo floated closer until his face was barely an inch from Alina’s, his big ghostly eyes sparkling with dramatic panic.
"Though... teacher... don’t tell anyone I tell you their gossips!" he whispered loudly, which immediately defeated the purpose of whispering. "Luna is already suspicious of me. She thinks I am spy of classroom!"
Alina blinked. "Spy?"
"Spy!" Boo repeated, clutching his cheeks as if this was the greatest injustice in history. "How is that possible, teacher? Look at me. Do I look like spy?"
He stretched his tiny ghost body straight, puffed out his chest, and posed like a heroic statue.
Alina snorted. "Hmm... let me see..."
Boo held the pose.
He wobbled.
He tried to look dangerous.
He failed.
Alina smiled gently. "Boo... you look like a floating marshmallow."
Boo gasped, offended. "Teacher! Marshmallow cannot be spy! Marshmallow only be cute!"
"Exactly," Alina said.
"So then how Luna think I am spy!" Boo cried dramatically, twirling in circles. "I was only doing my duty of spreading important informational entertainment!"
"You mean gossip?" Alina corrected.
"Yes, yes, yes, gossip," Boo admitted instantly. "But good gossip! Educational gossip! Gossip that helps world!"
Alina sighed, patting his head. "Boo... maybe Luna just saw you floating behind everyone taking notes again?"
"I was not taking notes! I don’t even like writing!" Boo protested.
Alina raised an eyebrow. "I was talking about mind notes."
"...Okay fine, I was taking notes," Boo whispered defensively. "But only because Rocky was talking quietly and I wanted full detail."
Alina laughed softly. "Boo, that is spying."
"No teacher," Boo said, shaking his head seriously, "that is gossiping."
Alina burst into laughter while Boo floated proudly, as if he had said something wise.
He leaned closer again. "So tell Luna I am not spy, okay teacher?" He hovered in front of her, his tiny ghost tail swaying nervously as he waited for her answer.
Alina folded her arms, pretending to be very serious as she looked down at him.
"Okay, I will tell her that Boo wasn’t spying at all," Alina said, nodding with grave importance. "Boo was just trying to collect secrets so he can gossip with teacher."
Boo’s eyes widened so fast he looked like a stunned owl. He clutched his chest with both hands, floating backward in sheer horror.
"Teacher!" he squeaked, voice breaking like a cracked flute. "Why you say it like that?!"
Alina blinked innocently. "What? I said the truth."
Boo’s jaw dropped. "Teacher... you cannot say truth so scary! If Luna hears that, she will think Boo is DOUBLE spy! Not one spy... TWO spy! Boo will die! Boo will be eaten! Boo will become ghost-toast!"
Alina bit her lip to stop her laugh. "Boo, calm down."
"Do not calm me!" Boo cried, twirling in dramatic anguish. "Teacher is ruining Boo’s reputation! Boo is respected gossiper! Honourable gossip collector! Not... not... not secret supplier to teacher!"
Alina raised a brow. "Then why do you bring every secret to me?"
Boo pointed at her with shaky hands. "Because teacher listens! And teacher laughs! And teacher gives head pats sometimes! Boo weak to affection!"
Alina snorted. "So it is gossip collecting."
Boo froze, then slowly lowered himself until he lay flat on the floor like a tragic fallen leaf.
"Teacher... Boo defeated by words again..." he whispered weakly.
Alina kneeled beside him, patting his tiny head. "Get up, Boo. I won’t tell Luna anything."
Boo brightened instantly, floating upright in joy. "Really? Teacher will protect Boo’s honour?"
"Yes," Alina smiled.
Boo lifted his chin proudly, puffing out his chest. "Good. Because Boo has dignity."
