I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 333 Ocean dream
Alina sighed. "Everyone, eyes forward. If you keep twisting like that, people will think Class D does not have manners."
They all froze at once.
Then, very slowly, every little head turned forward like penguins falling into line.
Alina settled back into her seat, feeling slightly recovered, and looked around at their curious faces. "Is this your first time in a place like this?" she whispered softly.
All of them nodded at once, big eyes, round cheeks, tails and wings twitching with excitement they were barely able to contain.
Even Kelpie raised his hand shyly, his voice small. "I remember we had a festival last year... but I only remember bubbles... and my mom feeding me... and then sleeping on Dad’s arms..."
He pouted a little.
Alina laughed gently, her heart warming. "It’s alright. It is normal to be curious. But you all have to sit still and wait. The show will start soon."
They nodded again obediently.
Boo leaned in again, whispering conspiratorially, "Teacher, if someone sits on my seat by mistake, do I haunt them?"
"No," Alina whispered back with a smile, "you sit quietly."
Boo deflated dramatically. Luna snorted. Drake giggled.
The moment the lights dimmed, the entire hall sank into a velvety darkness that made Alina’s breath catch. A soft ripple of whispers spread through the audience, but Class D fell instantly still, wide eyes shining with curiosity and wonder.
Then, from somewhere unseen, a slow, soothing melody drifted into the air. It sounded like a distant current brushing through hollow coral, deep and calming, filling the hall with a soft humming warmth. The darkness settled around them in a cool, gentle way, as if the whole place was waiting for something to begin.
A voice rose through the silence, smooth and deep as a tide rolling over sand.
"On this blessed day," it echoed softly, "we welcome you all. The Lunaris Tide Festival special show begins shortly. Prepare yourselves for the tale of our waters."
The tone carried mystery, reverence, and something ancient, and the children froze as if a spell had brushed over them.
Boo’s eyes went huge. He clutched the edge of his seat and whisper-shouted, "Teacher, is this ghost talking? Because it sounds like a ghost!"
Luna spoke from her seat. "No! It sounds like the moon talking. Shh!"
Drake nodded with the seriousness of a tiny scholar. "Definitely the moon."
Vlad Jr. whispered, "Or an ancient sea king reciting poetry."
Alina gently pressed her finger to her lips, leaning slightly toward the row of restless little bodies. "Shh... no more talking. Your voices are echoing everywhere," she whispered softly.
Every baby froze at once.
Boo clamped both hands over his mouth. Drake stiffened like a soldier caught misbehaving. Luna folded her arms but nodded seriously. Rocky turned halfway into stone in panic. Even Vlad Jr. straightened his tiny collar, as if silence was now a royal decree.
A soft hush settled over Class D.
And then a thin beam of silver light bloomed from the center of the vast hall.
It pierced the darkness like a moon ray underwater, stretching upward in one glowing pillar. Tiny bubbles drifted through the light, rising slowly, catching the shine until each one looked like a small floating pearl.
The hall filled with a soft, enchanting radiance.
Boo gasped before clapping his own mouth again. "Mmff mmff!!"
His eyes were huge, staring at the bubbles as if they were the most magical things he had ever seen.
Drake leaned so far forward that Alina had to shift toward Boo’s seat and subtly tug him back by his shirt. "Teacher, they’re glowing," he whispered, awe completely filling his voice.
Sable reached out his small hand, as if he might touch the drifting pearls. The gentle silver reflections danced across his dark hair like tiny stars.
Lucien’s eyes widened with wonder too as he watched the light drift delicately through the water.
Luna’s tail swayed in slow amazement. "It’s like sky bubbles," she whispered, voice tiny.
Felix rested his chin on the edge of his seat, his eyes wide, tracing every rising orb as if memorizing them.
And Alina felt her own breath grow quiet.
The sight was so serene, so otherworldly, that her heart seemed to slow to match the soft rhythm of the glowing water light.
Even Dante, who rarely showed open emotion, watched the display with deep focus.
The silver beam widened slowly, like a curtain of soft light unfolding, and the bubbles drifting within it multiplied, hundreds, then thousands, rising as though the sea itself was breathing gently. A hush swept through the entire hall as the music shifted, soft and flowing, like water brushing over smooth stones.
And then the stage beneath the beam rippled.
Not moved. Rippling like a living surface.
As if the floor itself had become a sheet of water.
Alina’s eyes widened, breath catching gently in her throat. From beneath the wavering light, slender shapes emerged, first shadows, then bright outlines, and finally a breathtaking group of mermaids rising gracefully into view.
Their tails gleamed like woven jewels, some sapphire blue, some soft rose, others emerald or gold. Their fins unfurled behind them like weightless silk, and every movement they made left behind trails of tiny glittering bubbles that floated upward like stars.
Boo leaned so far forward he nearly hovered off the chair, his little mouth open in silent amazement.
"Teacher," he whispered, voice trembling with awe, "they are sparkling."
Luna’s golden brown eyes softened, her tail swishing slowly behind her seat. "They are so beautiful."
Even Drake fell completely quiet. No bouncing, no twitching, no tail flapping. He sat in perfect stillness, as if afraid to blink and miss anything.
The mermaids began to move in a synchronized circle. Their motions were slow and fluid, every gesture filled with elegance. Some carried glowing orbs that shone like soft fragments of light, while others held long ribbons of pale blue radiance that traced shapes of waves and stars.
Suddenly the music deepened, as though a second ocean had opened beneath the first. A soft wind brushed through the hall, impossible yet real, and silver petals drifted from above, swirling around the mermaids as they danced. Each petal glowed faintly, lighting their faces with ethereal warmth.
More performers appeared, three mermen with turquoise tails sweeping in gentle arcs, their hair flowing like ink in water. They lifted the mermaids effortlessly, spinning them through the air in graceful spirals. Their voices hummed softly, blending with the music in a harmony that vibrated warm and deep inside everyone’s chest.
Alina’s heart melted at the sight. It was more than a show. It felt like watching the ocean dream.
"Look! Look!" Felix whispered, pointing with trembling excitement. "They are making shapes!"
When the show finally ended, after what felt like an hour, the lights brightened gently and the entire hall began to buzz with excited murmurs. Class D, however, did not move. They sat frozen, eyes huge, mouths slightly open, as if their souls were still floating somewhere inside that glowing performance.
Alina looked at their stunned little faces and could not help laughing softly. "Come on, my little statues. The show is over," she whispered, guiding them gently out of their seats.
Dante walked beside her, silent but vigilant, making sure every child was close, his aura quietly circling around them like a protective current.
As they stepped outside the grand hall, the soft blue glow of the palace greeted them, and Alina stretched her arms a little. "So... what is next?" she asked.
Dante glanced down at her, the faintest smile touching his lips. "There is a fair outside. If the children are interested, they can explore. Perhaps do some shopping."
Her eyes widened slightly. "Shopping? Do they have their own currency?"
"Well," he said thoughtfully, "all the domains use the same type of currency. But I have already covered everything for today. Anyone who likes something can pick it."
She looked at him, shocked. "Sir, that is too mu..."
Before she could finish, he shook his head lightly. "I do not want to hear anything about trouble, Miss Alina." His eyes softened a little, almost teasing. "Not today."
He turned toward the children and spoke in a playful imitation of her teacher voice. "Everyone, we are going to the fair. Form a line."
The babies froze, then burst into excited squeals.
"FAIR!!" Drake shouted, his wings fluttering as if he might take off again.
"What is fair?" Luna asked, ears perked, tail twitching.
"Shopping," Dante replied calmly.
That was all it took.
"WOW! I am going to buy sea creatures for my mom and dad and also for myself!" Drake declared, shaking so hard his scales glowed.
"Oh my ghost! I am going to get clothes like Kelpie! And also some for Oldie and Goldie!" Boo spun in circles, his transparent tail twirling like a ribbon in the water.
Luna clapped her hands softly. "I am buying something shiny for my mommy and daddy."
Vlad Jr. walked beside them with the calm seriousness of a tiny nobleman. "Principal Sir, I believe we all brought money, but we left our school bags in the bus. Where may we retrieve them?"
