Chapter 332: Chapter 332 Curiosity

The twin shark boys left soon after, patting Drake and Vlad Jr. on the shoulders like they were tiny warriors parting after a grand battle. Felix’s new group said their goodbyes, and Lucien nodded respectfully to the boys who had been listening to him explain sea-shell mathematics.

And then there was Sable.

Arielle’s mother had knelt beside her daughter, gently calling her. Arielle turned to Sable, her tiny silver tail swaying sadly as she held his hands.

"I am sorry, Sable... I have to go with Mama now," she murmured softly. "But we will play again later, okay?"

Sable nodded, but the way his lips trembled made Alina’s heart twist. He looked like a tiny raindrop ready to fall.

Seeing his expression, Arielle leaned in quickly and wrapped her small arms around him. She squeezed him in a warm little hug, then pulled back and patted his head the same way her mother often comforted her.

"I see you later, okay?" she whispered.

"Yes..." Sable breathed, barely audible.

Arielle waved one last time, her little pink eyes warm and cheerful, before swimming off with her mother. Sable stood there for a moment, staring after her, looking like his entire world had dimmed.

Dante watched him quietly. Lucien had made several friends too, which pleased him, but seeing Sable’s drooping posture made something tighten in his chest. Even a demon lord felt helpless at the sight of a sad baby.

Alina felt it too, so deeply that she stepped forward immediately.

She clapped her hands softly. "Do not be sad, everyone," she said, her voice warm and reassuring. "Your new friends have not left completely. They have only gone ahead to the hall where we are all going to watch the performance live. You will see them again very soon."

Every face lit up at once like a field of tiny sparkling lanterns.

"Really?" Drake asked, practically bouncing.

"Yes," Alina nodded.

"Yay!" Boo shouted, spinning in a circle again.

Sable’s eyes brightened instantly, the shadows around him curling up in little excited twirls like happy ribbons. He hurried to stand beside Alina, clutching her dress with relief.

Lucien gave a tiny huff of approval.

All the children gathered closely around her, buzzing with excitement again.

Alina smiled at them, her soft, gentle smile that always made every baby feel safe.

"We will go together," she said lovingly. "Let us enjoy the show."

Alina motioned for the children to line up, her voice soft but firm as she guided them into a neat little queue. It took a moment. Boo kept floating too high, Drake kept jumping forward, and Luna kept nudging Felix to stand straight. But eventually they formed a wiggly but adorable line.

King Corvus watched with amused fondness, and beside him a tall merman attendant appeared, dressed in robes made of dark kelp silk, ready to lead the way. Dante walked behind the children, his tall frame calm and protective, his eyes always moving to make sure no one wandered off.

Alina walked alongside the line, her hand brushing gently over each tiny shoulder, checking if everyone was close, safe, and following.

After a short walk through shimmering corridors, a large door appeared before them, far darker than anything they had seen in the brightly colored palace. A gentle light traced the carvings, making the patterns ripple like shifting waves. King Corvus stepped forward and pressed his palm against the center, and with a deep resonant hum, the door slid open.

Alina’s breath caught.

Beyond it lay a magnificent circular auditorium, carved entirely from deep-sea stone and glowing coral. Seats rose in gentle tiers, all facing a beautiful sunken stage in the center. The water shimmered with soft blue light drifting through the space, creating a dream-like atmosphere.

The merman attendant guided them down the steps to an exclusive section on the fourth row. Wide, comfortable seats made just for them, each with backrests shaped like shells. Alina settled at the far left end, while Dante took the right side, sitting in quiet watchfulness.

Between them, the babies filled the seats like an excited rainbow. Drake bounced eagerly until Vlad Jr. grabbed his sleeve. Felix sat straight-backed, fixing his shirt. Rocky sat in a round little lump, his nervousness making him half tempted to turn into stone again. Sable stayed close to Felix and kept glancing around. Luna took her seat next to Dante, her tail flicking with quiet excitement. Lucien folded his hands neatly, his eyes cool but curious.

And right beside Alina was Boo, humming happily, swinging his little ghostly legs.

King Corvus excused himself politely, saying he needed to check on a few arrangements, and left the attendant behind to look after them.

The merman attendant bowed respectfully. "This entire row is reserved for you," he said with a warm smile. "King Corvus has instructed us to come if you need anything. Refreshments, comfort, or assistance, simply raise your hand."

Alina nodded gratefully.

When the attendant left, Boo leaned in immediately, whispering, "Teacher... do they have ghost snacks? Or ghost seats? Or ghost security?"

Alina tried not to laugh too loudly. "Boo, just sit properly..."

He puffed up proudly. "I am. I am the most proper ghost here."

Dante glanced over, a faint hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, so small that only Alina caught it.

But the moment the hall began to fill, all order dissolved again.

Boo shot up halfway before Alina grabbed him by the arm. Drake kept standing on his seat, trying to see who was sitting behind them, while Luna leaned so far forward it looked like she was about to fall into the row below. Even Felix was craning his neck a little, and Rocky, overwhelmed by the crowd, was slowly beginning to curl into a round pebble-like shape.

Alina felt her cheeks warm with embarrassment as she pulled Boo down for the third time. "Boo, sweetheart, stay still, please."

"But teacher," Boo whispered dramatically, pointing excitedly toward the rows behind them, "there are so many shiny tails. And someone behind me has glowing hair. Boo wants to see..." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

Drake nodded eagerly. "Teacher, someone in the third row looks like a giant jellyfish. I want to see more."

"No," Luna corrected with a serious voice. "That is a man. A jellyfish man. I saw his ears."

Alina sighed. "Everyone, eyes forward. If you keep twisting like that, people will think Class D does not have manners."

They all froze at once.
