I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 55: Golden Circle
Chapter 55: Golden Circle
He took a sip of his coffee and started to walk to the abbey. Should he walk down another route or should he still continue, there was no way that these people would know what he registered as his ability so even if he met any of these people. It should be fine.
He gave a last look to the yellow house as he passed it.
"How troublesome!"
"What is troublesome?" A youthful voice sounded in front and Ravi looked up. There was a red-haired young man a few meters away, he was leaning against the wall and was pressing his phone.
The youth was slim and was wearing a white t-shirt with black shorts and some canvas, he looked like he should still be in college.
Ravi blinked his eyes, he had not noticed the youth at all. His appearance was just too sudden, it was as if he had appeared out of thin air. Ravi was sure that the street was empty but now, it looked like the youth had always been there.
Teleportation, but such fluctuation of energy. Ravi should have noticed it.
"Ah! A police officer." The youth seemed to have noticed his uniform and a huge smile appeared on his face, he jogged next to Ravi.
"officer, please help me settle a case. If you broke down a gate, who should repair it, the person who broke it down or the innocent person who was on the street when it happened."
Ravi pursed his lips. This should be one of the three people that moved in. A family? Maybe they ran away when the nest appeared and returned with hopes that everything was over. Should he manipulate the remnants in the Nest so that they could go?
His lips twitched, that was such a bad thing to do but he was not the ideal Sentinel that he had once been. He had already vented his anger on some villains, he had already fallen, could he fall any lower?
He looked at the youth, the sunlight scattered on his red hair, causing a warm glow to reflect off him. But Ravi did not feel warm at all, it was rather the opposite. He would do it tonight, release the creatures to chase them away but just stay close enough that they would not be permanently damaged or killed.
With that, he ignored the youth and made to move away. freёwebnoѵel.com
"Hey! I am talking to you, how can you ignore me? I hate people ignoring me the most." He raised his hand and a repressive feeling instantly filled the air.
Ravi could clearly see it. Those steel-colored eyes became icy cold. They were like a pair of torches that were fiercely blazing, they wanted to burn, crush, and destroy everything in his path.
Even the air around them seemed to be unable to endure the monstrous killing intent in this youth’s body and it became distorted, wrapping as if it was about to shatter.
What a dense killing intent!
Ravi had only seen such killing intent in the cultivation world, he had never seen in a modern world such like this and in one so young. Just how many people had this child killed?
Why? Ravi did not understand the phenomenon of this youth in front of him. Just because he ignored it, he truly wanted to kill him.
What should he do? Instinctively he wanted to kill him, but...Ravi rubbed his forehead tiredly, he had a young cat child sleeping at home, committing murder in front of the house was a little too much. And killing a person who had not even reached maturity.
He did not know why but suddenly he was not comfortable with it at all.
A dark light began to appear in the air...
"Sage." A voice as gentle as water sounded in the quiet street and instantly, the killing intent that was about to rise to the heavens disappeared.
Ravi also put down his hand and looked back to see who had stopped the youth. Sage.
It was a tall man with handsome features that were almost dangerously beautiful. Slightly long strawberry blonde hair cascaded down his back with a few curls framing his face. He had a huge hat on his head with corals hanging from their end. A silk blur cloth was tied around his eyes and he held a long wooden cake.
The man was clearly blindfolded but Ravi could feel a warm gaze penetrating the silk and landing on him.
His entire body shivered and he stepped back. He was stronger than this person, far stronger but the golden circle around this person’s head put his soul in a flight mode.

"So you are the one who killed an incarnation of the Palace Master of Yaochi." A young woman said as she entered the prison.
Ravi looked up at her through his hair, the woman looked young but he knew that age was nothing to the people in this world.
The woman was incredibly beautiful, even after seeing so many beautiful people, she made him look again. Her skin was so pale that one would find it hard to believe that she was alive.
She wore a black, silk robe that was embroidered with three round black and white patterns showing off a nice physique.
Her hair was jet black and tightly woven into a black skull cap. Her eyes were as white as snow revealing no pupils.
She wore a plaque around her waist that was incredibly eye-catching. Two words were inscribed on the plaque in blood-red lettering- Dai Yu.
"Dai Yu."
The woman tapped the fan on his head, "Little Fool. You can not call me by my real name. You can call me Alya. And do not look at me like that. I might pluck those disrespectful eyes out."
Ravi was chained to the wall, blood dripped from his mouth. This was the fourth hell, he had been here for less than 30 seconds and Ravi already wanted to die. He just didn’t know what he did, what he did was so wrong that they had to sentence him to the fourth hell for a thousand years.
"You think it is unfair?" The woman said and Ravi nodded. It was, it was unfair.
"He was a villain that killed one million people so.."
"You are a Sentinel, it is always you guys. Were you asked to kill him, was he your mention?"
Ravi shook his head. The man was not his mission, but when he transmigrated into the world, he found out that his mission target was not even as the man, so he killed him and his reward was being sent here.
"He is a god. The person you killed was a member of the Heavenly Realm. He was on a mission in the lower realm and you killed him. Shut up..just don’t talk. He was creating a disaster and you interfered. The heavenly realm had waited a million years to create a disaster in that realm and you, in your holier-than-thou attitude spoilt their plan. You are lucky that it was the incarnation of the Palace Master of Yaochi that you killed, if it was the Palace of Penghai, you would be thrown into the Ninth hell of Starving ghosts, no question asked. A pity then, I would not get to see such a handsome face." Alya used her fan and traced his face, harassing him without blinking an eye.
"Very handsome, I like the delicate type, What do you say about joining my harem? Then you would not be punished."
That was Ravi’s first meeting with Alya. He would later learn that it was the time for a disaster god to be born and what he had done was much worse than how Alaya had made it seem. He would also learn that she is the one who had stopped him from being killed, his bones ground to dust, and his soul refined in the fires of Pushi as some gods wanted.
Just like Sentinels, just like grim reapers, even the gods have their own missions where they would send an incarnation down to perform it. They just cared about what their stars there in the Heavenly Realm said, everything else was not their business. He and every other Sentinel avoided them like they carried a plague with them.

An incarnation. This was an incarnation.
"Sorry about that. Sage can be..." He sighed slowly, his voice as gentle as a breeze, "You know how teenagers are."
He did not know, his own teenager was quiet and well-behaved. Ravi swallowed, unlike with Sage, that golden circle made him unable to ignore this man.
His heart pounded in his chest.
"You must be the new neighbor, my name is Malik Patel. This was my family home growing up, things happened in the Capital, well I lost my job and I decided to come back here with my family. I am hoping. Look at me rambling on, What is your name?"
Ravi looked at that outstretched hand like it was a snake. Must he? Must he shake that hand?
