I Am Tired Of Being A Hero-Chapter 204: I hate her
Chapter 204: I hate her
Was Arlen busy, what had he been typing for more than ten minutes? In the end, there was a sticker of a cute puppy hiding under the bed, "I did not need to take any exams. My family owns the school."
Ravi paused, and read it over and over again before gritting his teeth. Rich people really make someone’s teeth ache.
He thought for a second and then said, "Wow."
Arlen sent a sticker of someone laughing, "Why love, can I feel your emotions through this text? You are probably gnashing your teeth at this moment."
Ravi stopped at once. I am not, he muttered beneath his breath before he typed it. They talked for over twenty minutes, making Ravi forget that he was in the waiting hall.
"I have to go now. If you encounter any difficulties there, don’t forget to call me, okay, love. See you later."
Ravi could hear the text in Arlen’s voice. His heart suddenly raced, he felt his heart pulsing in his eardrums. He wanted to lift his hands, but then quietly put them back down. It was crazy, he was not even here and yet he could deliver a soul-stirring blow to him without any defence, shining brightly without blinding, making him feel sweet from his heart. It was a subtle feeling.
A second later, there was another message, ’I love you, Ravi."
Ravi looked at the words, his hazel irises seemed to be veiled by a faint mi?st as he read those four words over and over again. Slowly, a blush crept onto his cheeks, like a pink smoke bomb that suddenly exploded when the afterglow of sunset cast upon the clouds.
It was a colour no brush could even replicate.
"Mr West!"
And instantly the blush faded, the ice in those hazel eyes fixed on her.
Just now, you were as soft as a bunny, what are you staring at me coldly for? Mansy almost wanted to ask but she held her tongue. She just lifted a finger to point to the floating board.
"Silver ranking."
Ravi looked up. Asher West was now in the silver lettering, directly below the gold name.
Ravi could feel his heartbeat increasing and a proud look graced his face. What to do, where should they go to celebrate? Hotpot, Ice cream, frozen yoghurt? They could have all, this was a very great occasion after all.
"Mr West. Do you care to make this a bit more interesting? Wanna bet?"
"No."
"Surely you have faith in your child." She said in a low, teasing voice.
She was tempting him, what a pity, "I believe in Asher but I am just a police officer, where would I get the money to place a bet? Not all of us have the pleasure of walking for a millionaire family."
Mansy opened her mouth and closed it. Speechless.
They went back to a much-appreciated silence and Ravi continued to look at the board. They were in their final examination now.
Ten minutes later, his face widened and he hurriedly stood up.
Five minutes later, the door to the hall opened and the hundreds of students rushed out. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
"Asher!!!" Ravi shouted as he waved his hand to call the teenager who was arguing with the girl in a pale yellow dress.
"Ravi!" He paused, running up to Ravi.
Ravi hugged him, spinning him around, "Asher. Congratulations." He froze when he saw the boy was not smiling.
"What happened? What is it?"He asked.
Asher looked embarrassed and he looked at the girl who was still smiling and waving at him, a small smirk at the edge of her lips.
"Did she do something or say something to do?" Ravi was worried, Crane or Eagle, no matter how rich the family was, they couldn’t hurt Asher.
Asher blushed angrily, "The last examination was a Nest examination. She did not take it seriously." He clenched his fists.
"What do you mean?"
Asher’s blue eyes looked like they were on fire, it was surprising to Ravi, the ward was really angry.
"She killed ten of the monsters and then she stopped. I knew she was not yet tired. Why would she do something like that? Ravi, I don’t like coming first like this." Asher did not know why he was so angry. He had grown up knowing that a Victory was a victory regardless of means but the thought of that girl, pitying him and not taking him seriously made him very angry.
"Ash..."
"I could win. I am going to show her."
Ravi was completely at a loss on how to proceed so he nodded, "Okay. Then the favor..."
Ash thought for a while, "Can you put it on hold? After I win, not in VR, I am going to challenge her to a duel. After I win, Then you will grant me the favour."
Ravi nodded, it was fine by him.
"Hello! Mr West. My name is Elene Crane. I would be Ash’s classmate. Nice to meet me." The girl approached them, Mansy behind her, a complicated expression on her face as she stared at both Ravi and Asher.
The girl smiled at him, she was quite cute with blonde hair and green eyes. What surprised Ravi was her strength, the cosmic energy around her was definitely on par with Asher.
"Don’t call me that. I don’t know you." Ash said, standing in front of Ravi.
Ravi’s lips twitched, right now, Asher looked his age. It made Ravi feel strangely happy, going to school would really be good for him.
"Oh! That can be easily remedied. What do you want to know about me? I will tell you."
"I don’t want to know anything about you."
"Okay. Then Ash, when will you..."
"Don’t call me Ash. Call me West, we are not friends and..." Asher turned to look at Ravi before stepping forward and whispering something to the girl with a fierce expression.
His effort seemed to have failed completely as the girl raised one and had to stifle her laughter, "Okay. I will be waiting for you."
As he and Ravi stepped out of the school building, Asher made a declaration, "I don’t like her."
Ravi smiled, "En."
