House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men-Chapter 296: Suspicious Actions II

(Third Person POV)

"Do you think Drakken did something to Vaegon?" Viserra asked Alyssa

They were in the Secret Gardens, under the gondola. Alyssa had her son, Aegon, with her as he played with a toy while the two sisters discussed what had just happened. Drakken had appeared out of nowhere and gave them dragon eggs, declaring an ultimatum.

He announced that he would resurrect their eldest sister, Daenerys Targaryen, and will present them with a choice.

"I don't know." Alyssa said, "I don't think so. He truly doesn't care much about him, so I can't say for sure."

Viserra sighed, "Vaegon knows about us, that is for sure." She said softly, "And with this entire situation blown out of proportion, another conflict is sure to arise. And The Trinity thrives off conflict, Lord Sol'Tyr feeds off war...."

Alyssa looked at her, "Viserra...." She said softly, "Drakken said he slept with three of Jaehaerys's daughters. Clearly, Maegelle and Saera are two of them.....but who would the third be?"

Viserra looked at her, "I....I don't know...." she said

Alyssa frowned, "I-It's not you, isn't it?"

"N-No!" She exclaimed, "I'm a maiden! I'm The Dragon Maiden! My whole purpose is to stay pure! I will not bed any man, that is my Oath....."

"Then who....?" Alyssa asked

"M-Me?!" Alyssa exclaimed, "I am married!!"

"I mean...." Viserra said, "You made a deal with him. And you did say that you'd do anything to keep him from hurting Baelon and your sons...."

"B-But....Viserra, how could you think of me like that?" She said, clearly hurt, "I would never do that to Baelon."

"Even if that was the option?" Viserra asked

"Drakken still looks at Baelon with intent to harm him..." Alyssa said, "What makes you think that a deal of that nature took place?"

Viserra looked at her, "Then...." She said, "It was Daella."

"Daella...?" She said softly, "Well....it makes sense....if it is not us....then it is her...."

"Obviously, it's not Gael." Viserra said, "It must be Daella...."

"But...." Alyssa looked down, "Daella is not the type to go behind her husband's back...and....well, it must have been before she married Lord Rodrik.....but she was confirmed a maiden.."

"It was after she gave birth, probably." Viserra said, "After she gave birth to Aemma."

"Yes, that is probably it....." Alyssa said with a sigh, "Our poor sister, Drakken probably took advantage of her frail nature...."

Viserra looked at Aegon, "Yes...." She said, "Say, sister....how is Aegon? He is fine, right?"

Alyssa looked down at her son, who was in his own world, a bright smile on his face, "Yes." She said as she rubbed his hair, "My precious boy.....he's big and healthy. He will be strong, I know it."

"I know Baelon loves his boys...." Viserra said, "But his hatred for Drakken is so much that he would not accept the deal you made with him.....he should simply give in.....it will make everything better."

"Baelon was part of the plan that took Lady Daranne away...." Alyssa said, "It won't be easy to make Drakken let it go...."

"I'll try my best to aid you in that matter, sister." Viserra said

Alyssa looked at her, "What do you mean?"

"I care about you." She said with a smile, "We're in this together, that is the truth. You've never sold me out when you found out I was part of the Trinity. For that, I am truly grateful. And I will do my best to help you and your Family."

Alyssa nodded, "Thank you...." She said softly, "The truth is, Viserra....I am very tired.....I am so tired...."

"So I hear." a voice said

They both jumped up to see Drakken leaning against one of the pillars of the gondola, a slight smirk on his face.

Viserra immediately bowed down, "M-My Lord...."

Drakken looked at her, "Ah, my little Dragon Maiden...." He said as he straightened up, "Loosen up...."

Alyssa stood up, holding Aegon in her arms, "W-What is it, Drakken?" She asked, a look of fear in her face, "What do you want?"

Drakken walked up to Viserra and offered his hand to her, "Hm...." He said, "I came to see if my Dragon Maiden is well...."

Viserra took his hand and stood up, looking up at him as he gave her a smirk, "M-My Lord?"

"You did well...." Drakken said as he gently grabbed a lock of her hair, "Your blood is quite useful for my Black-Winged Rebirth. It was able to bring Maegor Targaryen back to life....He needed the blood of the impure to filter his ashes...a bit of Alyssa's blood since she is not a virgin....and well...the Dragon Maiden's blood was the main catalyst....that brought it all together...."

"I....thank you...." She said softly, looking down, "I am glad I can be of service."

"But you've been more than that." Drakken said, "You've been a great aid to the Trinity. A rewards is in order, my Viserra....what is it you desire?"

He lifted her face by the chin, a slight smirk in his eyes.

"Desire....?" Viserra asked with a look of surprise

"When the time comes....." Drakken said as he walked around her and grabbed her shoulders, rubbing them gently, "I will grant you one wish. No deals, nothing....a desire....a wish granted.....whatever you want...if it is within my grasp, I will fulfill it. So, My Dragon Maiden, what would you desire?"

"Well...." Viserra started

"Drakken...." Alyssa said, "Please.....do not hurt her..."

Drakken looked at her, "What makes you say that?"

"I don't like the way you're looking at her." Alyssa frown

Drakken chuckled and patted Viserra's head, The young princess showed no reaction to it, "You're too protective, Alyssa." He said, "Why would I ever harm my Maegelle and Saera's precious Viserra? On the contrary, she is quite important....as their sister...and my Dragon Maiden....so I will never let anything bad happen to this one."

"I will serve you....My Lord...." Viserra said softly, "And my desire....I will not disclose it until I am ready."

"Very well." Drakken said with a smirk, "Know this. Should a terrible conflict truly break out, the two of you are under my protection. Well, the boy too. As you are all part of the Trinity..."

"Thank you..." Viserra said as she looked down

"I will require your Mother's Blood..." Drakken leaned down to her ear, "And yours as well, for the ritual that will bring your sister back."

"Do you truly intend to do that?" Viserra asked

"Yes." Drakken said

"M-May I ask what her purpose would be?" She asked

"Bargaining chip, experiment, and well....." Drakken said,

"Torment."
