House of The Dragon-A God Amongst Men-Chapter 295: Suspicious Actions

(Third Person POV)

"Where is Vaegon?" Alysanne asked, "Where is he? I have not seen him at all!"

She was in the Small Council Room where most of the Targaryen Family were, discussing what had just happened. Alysanne walked in and was asking about where her son, Vaegon, was. Nobody had seen him ever since that night, which caused alarm in the Keep.

Jaehaerys frowned, "I don't know." He said as he looked at Aemon, "Have you seen him?"

Aemon shook his head, "No." He said, "That is strange, he should be here..."

Baelon was rubbing a bruise on his cheek, "Where was the last time he was seen?" He asked, "Alyssa?"

Alyssa shrugged, "I had not seen him in days." She said, "It's normal, however. He always avoids me."

Alysanne began to fidget with her fingers, "No no, what if something happened to him?!" She asked as she paced back and forth, "What if Drakken killed him? Gods, no!"

"Calm down, Alysanne." Jaehaerys stood up, "We'll start a search for him at once. Just calm down."

"I can't calm down!!" Alysanne exclaimed, "M-My daughter's ashes were stolen from me! And now my son is missing!!"

Aemon sighed, "To think that his ire would last this long." He said, "I....should not be surprised..."

"The Trinity..." Jaehaerys said as he walked over to Alysanne, "It is a major force here in the city, there is no denying that. Despite that, the Faith still holds power. I doubt that Barth was killed during the chaos...but there is a more pressing matter, I am afraid...."

"More pressing?!" Alysanne glared at him, "More pressing than our son?!"

"Maegor is alive." Jaehaerys said, "I saw him with my own eyes."

Alysanne looked at him, "What...."

"He's right..." Baelon said, "I mean.....whoever that man was....if Father says it's true, then...yea...."

"He was.... " Aemon said, "Terrifying....."

"I know...." Baelon said, "But for some reason, he was nothing compared to Drakken...."

Jaehaerys looked at him, "Maegor...and Drakken....." He said, "This is a terrible combination. We need to write to Harrenhal at once. If Drakken is still here, he plans on causing more chaos...."

"Do you think he has something to do with Vaegon's disappearance?" Alyssa asked with a frown, "He never really showed any care for him."

"Who else could it be?!" Alysanne exclaimed

"I don't know." Alyssa looked down, "Perhaps some lunatic Knight who wants to get vengeance on our House....for...well, all of our failures to keep Drakken from killing thousands."

Jaehaerys looked at her, "Alyssa...."

"It is a thought." Alyssa stood up and looked at her parents, "I am throwing suggestions."

"How suspicious." Aemon looked at her as he stood up, "Well, does this have anything to do with what Drakken told us in Maidenpool?"

Baelon shot him a warning look, saying nothing.

"Maidenpool?" Jaehaerys asked, "W-What happened in Maidenpool?"

Aemon looked down, "Nothing...."

"Tell me." Alysanne said, "Now."

Alyssa sighed, "It is nothing."

"It is not nothing." Jaehaerys said, "I will have the truth spoke now-"

"Yea, it ain't me." Drakken said as he stood in the middle of the room

Alysanne jumped up, "Ah!"

Jaehaerys stood in front of her, "Drakken....!!"

Baelon stood up and drew his sword, "You fucking...!!"

Drakken waved his hand and suddenly, four dragon eggs appeared out of thin air and dropped to the floor, a resounding thud was heard.

"W-What?" Jaehaerys said

Drakken smirked, "Remember those eggs that were stolen by my people?" He said, "Well, using a very special trick, I multiplied them. So....here's the profit from that. Four soon-to-hatch dragon eggs that you might like. Say.....is Dreamfyre available? I am thinking of gifting her to my alluring and sexy wife, Saera."

Alysanne glared at him, "Where is Vaegon?!"

Drakken shrugged, "Beats me." He said as he looked at her, "I don't care much for the little prick. Why? You lose him? Have you tried the library? Probably got a shelf to fall on him, the dumb cunt."

"What do you want?" Jaehaerys asked

"Well, I know what you're thinking." Drakken said, "Why do all of this? Well, it's simple really.....it's like a dragon stretching its wings and seeing how far it could fly...I have finally....reached the point of using my Black-Winged Rebirth....which is not an easy thing to do where I am from...but here...? It's....easier...? I don't know how that works, honestly. Anyways.....I have your daughter's ashes, yes. So expect her to be resurrected soon."

"What?!" Aemon exclaimed, "Why would you do that?!"

Drakken looked at him, "Same reason I brought Jocelyn back." He said, "Experiment. And well.....blackmail."

"Y-You....." Alysanne asked

"Maegor is one thing..." Drakken said as he rubbed his neck, "I almost regret doing that one, my fucking dumbass Dragon decided to reject him....the whole point was to have him as a Vessel....but oh well, I suppose I will use him later. Oh, by the way, Baelon.....he's got a bone to pick with you."

Baelon narrowed his eyes, "What did I do to him?"

"Uhm...." Drakken said as he looked at his fingers, "I don't know....you're wielding Dark Sister, you ride Balerion, and you got his mother's dragon killed."

"That was you!!" Baelon exclaimed, "You killed her!!"

"Uh, but who's the idiot that flew to Dorne uninvited....while I was having fun?" He asked, "Not your father, not your brother.....it was...you....and your wife. But that's because you needed a ride so I kinda let that one go."

"What is your point, Drakken?" Jaehaerys asked, "We are tired of constantly engaging in conflict with you. You come here and act as if you could simply do as you wish. You expect us to-" frёeωebɳovel.com

"I can do what I want." Drakken said with a smirk, "Because there is not a damned thing you could do about it, Jaehaerys. I brought your Uncle back to serve as a vessel for my dragon but it seems that the psychological damage might be useful for me. The same with Jocelyn, i solely brought her back to examine the effects of resurrection in this world.....and Aemon is troubled, now....isn't he? Oh, My Prince, I am glad to hear of your wife's news...."

Drakken looked at him with a smirk, and Aemon could not help but glare at him.

"And the eggs?" Jaehaerys asked

"I am playing nice...." Drakken said, "The Faith doesn't seem like they'll be accepting of what's to come...."

"The Faith?" Jaehaerys asked

"A little uprising is in action, don't you think?" Drakken asked, "I'll have my Duskguard hang back and let you handle this one, Jaehaerys. Show the Realm how House Targaryen is still in power."

Jaehaerys narrowed his eyes, "You instigated a conflict between us and The Faith?!" He exclaimed, "Why would you-"

"Because I can!" Drakken cut him off, "Because I am the only true power that matters in this world. And when I bring your daughter back, you will realize that! When I have your precious little Daenerys by my side, you will realize that groveling before me is the only way to secure peace....for this stupid fucking patch of dirt. When Aemon sees that I am willing to bring his older sister back, he will realize that I can reunite him with his precious little Aenys.....and make his family happy again, reuniting him with Jocelyn....but oh wait...what about Daella?"

Aemon clenched his fists, "Y-You....!"

Drakken paced towards the table, looking at Baelon and Alyssa, "When you all see that any child that is under the Trinity worries not about any dangers...." He said, "You might think to yourselves.....'Maybe it is a good idea...'. And when you see that I can easily bring back any dragon from the dead, giving you lost companionship...you might think to yourself....'Maybe he is a God!' right? Wouldn't that be great?"

Jaehaerys looked at him, "After everything that you have done...." he said, "Do you think the people will-"

"Don't forget what you've done, Jaehaerys!!!" Drakken shouted, shaking the room itself, "Don't forget what you've done that has brought us to this situation!!!"

Jaehaerys narrowed his eyes, "How many times have I told you..." He said, "That it was not what I intended...."

Drakken walked up to him, staring directly at his eyes, "You know...." He said, "You are fortunate....really fortunate...that you have two granddaughters that are my blood....because if it were not for that....if it were not for Maegelle....I would have ripped your entrails out and feed it to your fucking wife while your kids watch.....and I would have force you to watch me rip apart each of your sons limb....by fucking.....limb.....and you should definitely be lucky that I don't like rape that much, otherwise.....hm.....you don't have to imagine, do you? You definitely have pretty daughters, King Jaehaerys.....I fucked three of them....."

"T-Three...?" Alysanne asked, "What...?"

Aemon glared at Drakken, "You...."

Drakken stepped away, "This is a warning." He said, "I will bring your daughter back. When I do.....the choice will be presented....I mean, Alysanne knows what the choice is...."
