Chapter 714: Ring and house

The sun was shining just right.

The atmosphere between father and son was harmonious. The man’s bit of aloofness seemed just like dewdrops in the light, evaporating quickly.

Daisy Ginger returned early.

At that moment, Edward Stephens was by the pond in the garden, watching his son draw with his chin resting on his hand.

Daisy’s pretty face was flushed red. When she saw him, it seemed that, given their son was present, she forcibly restrained her temper and only said fiercely to him, "Come with me!"

Edward stood up casually, hands in his pockets, and glanced at her, "If you have something to say, say it here."

Daisy wasn’t buying it. She glared at him fiercely, "If you don’t come over, you’ll be sleeping on the couch tonight, your call!"

"......"

The man weighed the pros and cons, and silently followed behind her...

Daisy went upstairs and tossed out a stack of contracts, pointing at them, "Explain."

"Hmm?" Edward walked over, his long fingers gently picking up a page, "What’s this?"

Daisy saw that he was playing dumb and did not give him any room to maneuver, saying coldly, "You sold my house?"

Edward lifted his chin and corrected her, "That was my house."

"Ha." Daisy sneered and reached out to pull his face, "You sold my house to me?!"

She was curious why someone would be willing to sell a second-hand house in that area, and so cheaply, for less than ten million!

This guy was behind it!

She thought of how, early in the morning, he watched her excitedly putting on makeup, purposely not reminding her that he was the one selling the house, and seeing her leave to check out the property, she got really angry.

So annoying!

The man finally laughed, pinching her soft face, and chuckled, "Wanted to give you a surprise."

He pulled her into his arms and kissed her, "Didn’t you want to buy a house? You personally designed that house, why don’t we just live there?"

Daisy wasn’t really that angry.

The agent took her inside the house.

Their old wedding photo of her and Edward was still hanging there, and everything in their marital home was placed as it was before. It was clear that he spent some time preserving those moments.

It truly was her favorite house.

Whether it was the location or style, it was tailor-made for her.

However, it wasn’t designed for him, back then, she wanted to live there with another Edward...

She had never thought about that house, nor did she want to compromise him.

That’s why she wanted to buy a new one.

Daisy puckered her lips and softly asked, "Do you want to live there?"

The man chuckled lightly, "I can live anywhere."

"So you’re really planning to sell it to me for ten million?" Daisy huffed softly, "Let me tell you the truth, if you really put that house on the market, you could sell it for several billion."

Over the years, that location had become the bustling city center of Banyan City, and the price had increased several times over.

The man chuckled softly and suddenly said, "Daisy, since I’ve returned your house to you, when will you honestly give me back my ring?"

Daisy choked, "W-What ring?"

The man lowered his eyes and tapped her ring finger with his fingertip, "The one you ’borrowed’."

"Did I ever take your ring?" Daisy widened her eyes, not admitting.

Edward gave her a sideways glance, "Didn’t you?"

Daisy broke away from him, feeling a bit embarrassed.

That ring was something she shamelessly clung to back then, how did he know she still had it?
