Chapter 713: Father is kind, son is filial.

As soon as she finished speaking, Edward Stephens flicked her forehead forcefully.

This time it was really forceful, almost swelling her forehead.

"Are you crazy?" He frowned at her.

"Sigh." Daisy Ginger shook her head, not knowing how to tell him.

Edward Stephens didn’t understand, and even she, didn’t quite understand.

If that was really love, why was it so twisted?

So hateful...

Just thinking of how he is now, locked up in prison by his beloved younger brother, unsure of his future, made Daisy Ginger sigh.

Edward Stephens didn’t want to go to the United States to attend the hearing, but Daisy Ginger still thought it might be better to go.

After all, it might be the last time he’d see his brother.

After all, that was his family.

Since Charlotte left, she hadn’t contacted them again.

Daisy Ginger thought, she must be truly in despair.

Lately, she had worn herself out in such a disheveled state, not knowing how much effort she had put in to save Robert Stephens.

But since it was Edward Stephens who got him in, how could she have any chance of getting him out?

The real estate agent called, telling her there’s a fully renovated second-hand house for sale in a great location, and the owner rarely lived there, asking if she wanted to come and see it.

Daisy Ginger wasn’t really interested in second-hand houses; she had a slight cleanliness obsession and preferred to buy new houses. But when she heard the address from the agent, her heart skipped a beat, and she subconsciously arranged a time to view the house.

That day, Daisy Ginger got up very early. The man, seeing her getting dressed so early, seemed a bit puzzled and watched her from bed, "What are you going to do?"

"Going to look at a house." Daisy Ginger said while applying lipstick in front of the dressing mirror, seemingly too lazy to eat breakfast, "The timing seems good, I’ll go check it out."

The man leaned against the bedhead, lazily yawned, "What’s so special to see? Can’t you just buy any one?"

It’s not like there isn’t money to buy a good location. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"It’s a second-hand house," Daisy Ginger said, "I want to see the style."

The man laughed, "I thought you’d buy a new house."

"I’m just taking a look." Daisy Ginger closed the lipstick, walked over and pecked a kiss on the man’s handsome face, leaving a faint lipstick mark, and said with a smile, "Won’t have breakfast with you. Let’s meet at noon."

The man leaned against the bedhead, glanced at her casually, raised his hand, wiped the lipstick mark on his cheek with his thumb, and then licked it in front of her.

Daisy Ginger: "..."

Damn, teasing her again.

Daisy Ginger pinched his cheek, snorted, turned around, and left.

Edward Stephens watched her leaving figure. After she left, he turned his head to look out the window and laughed quietly, though to himself, about something he thought of.

At eight o’clock, Edward Stephens lazily came down from upstairs, draped in a bathrobe.

The servant greeted him, "Mr. Stephens, breakfast is ready."

He responded lightly and went into the dining room.

Without Daisy Ginger there, the man seemed oddly distant in his interactions with others.

The servant sneaked a glance at him, not knowing why, but felt a peculiar fear.

Erin Ginger was having breakfast in the dining room.

Seeing him come in, she sweetly called to him, "Good morning, Daddy."

Edward Stephens walked over, a faint smile appeared on his handsome, fair face, and he reached out to ruffle his little head.

"Your mom has gone out. I’ll take you to the park to sketch later."

Erin Ginger bit into her egg pancake, and upon hearing this, a smile appeared on her pretty, delicate little face.

Edward Stephens looked at her and smiled gently too.
