Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 624: Uncomfortable
Lady Stephens received the message, and just as she was about to leave, she rushed over to see her.
Two months had passed since their last meeting. She realized that she had been in Chicago for more than half a year now.
From winter, she had stayed until summer.
And Edward Stephens showed no signs of recovering his memory. Even the doctors couldn’t provide any explanations. After all, the human brain is too complex, and he had suffered such a severe blow and such serious injuries.
Compared to his brother’s memory recovery, Robert Stephens was clearly more concerned about the relationship between him and Coco. He absolutely could not allow the future heir of the Stephens family to marry a therapist as his wife.
"Daisy!"
Lady Stephens looked much older, showing the fatigue typical of a woman her age.
Daisy Ginger watched a small, thin woman approach and didn’t recognize her at first. She had lost a lot of weight, her hair was dull, and her face appeared very pale even with makeup.
In such a family, indeed, no one could be carefree and happy forever. Even someone like Lady Stephens had reached the age where she worried about her children and grandchildren.
"Where are you planning to go?" She approached, first touching Erin Ginger, then looking at Daisy.
The servant pushed Daisy’s suitcase out, and seeing Daisy’s suitcase, Lady Stephens’s eyes turned red.
"Erin wants to go to Hawaii." Daisy glanced down at Erin and smiled, "So let’s go to Hawaii for a few days first."
"Well... when will you come back?"
At the last two words, Lady Stephens’s voice noticeably lowered, sounding somewhat weak.
Daisy thought for a moment and replied, "I probably won’t come back."
Lady Stephens was surprised by her directness, stunned and unresponsive, looking at her in shock.
Daisy said calmly, "This was never my home in the first place. Why come back once I’ve left?"
Lady Stephens pursed her lips slightly, her eyes reddening as she looked at her, silent for a while.
Daisy had come for Edward, but now, it had lost all meaning.
She did nothing wrong, yet she had to endure such a tragic situation. Both she and the Stephens family were unfair to her.
Seeing Lady Stephens’s red eyes and trembling lips, unable to speak from guilt, Daisy sighed slightly.
"It’s not about you, Auntie," she said softly. "Don’t be sad, we will meet again."
It wasn’t just about Lady Stephens, and not even about Edward Stephens. It was someone else who didn’t want her to have peace, someone who hurt her.
She reached out and gently hugged Lady Stephens, "I’m going now."
Lady Stephens was too distraught to speak.
Walking out the door, the guide’s car was already parked there.
Erin Ginger climbed into the car energetically, looking expectant, but as the car slowly drove away, he turned to glance in the direction of Edward Stephens’s residence.
She had only taken him there once, and yet he remembered.
After taking a glance, he obediently retracted his gaze and sat properly, his small hand gently holding her pinky finger.
Daisy looked down and met Erin’s bright, dark eyes.
She suddenly realized that he might understand everything.
He understood everything, so he must also know that his father had already abandoned him.
