Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 611: I don’t remember.
After speaking, Robert Stephens didn’t linger any longer and quickly turned to leave.
As soon as the man left, the suffocating atmosphere in the room eased immediately. Daisy Ginger stood there, feeling emotionally conflicted as she pondered Robert Stephens’s words.
Was it really a mistake to let Erin have a normal childhood?
She knew that little Erin was more intelligent than most children and had a strong ability to learn, but she didn’t think that, aside from that, he was any different from an ordinary three-year-old.
He still had his own temper, would run away from home, pout or act spoiled with her — clearly, he was just an ordinary child.
"Mommy?"
A small voice from Erin called from behind.
Daisy turned around and saw Erin standing at the top of the stairs in his pajamas, looking at her with sleepy, bewildered eyes.
Daisy went over, picked him up from the floor, and gently asked, looking at the red mark on his right cheek from sleeping, "Did Mommy wake you up?"
Erin shook his head and snuggled into her embrace. "I’m awake."
The sweet, creamy scent unique to little children lingered on him, and it melted Daisy’s heart.
With James Shelton helping her, she didn’t have to worry about many things, but now that Edward Stephens had amnesia and James was far away, handling Erin’s life alone left her a bit at a loss.
"Tomorrow a university professor will come to teach you," Daisy said softly. "Do you know what a university professor is?"
Erin blinked his eyes, "Is that lady not coming anymore?"
"No, she’s not," Daisy replied, feeling somewhat complicated. "You’re too smart for her to teach you anything."
"Is Mommy unhappy?"
"..." Daisy lowered her head and looked at the beautiful, big eyes of the child in her arms. She took a deep breath and murmured, "Mommy wishes so much that you were just an ordinary child..."
Being too valued by Robert Stephens was not a good thing.
Currently, she couldn’t rely on Edward Stephens, but she couldn’t protect him from Robert either, fearing that one day that man would cruelly take Erin away from her.
At the beginning, she was afraid that exposing Erin’s identity would separate them as mother and child, which was why she kept it from Edward, but now, she couldn’t hide it any longer.
Erin seemed to hear the fear in Daisy’s voice, and he obediently stayed in her arms, wrapping his arms around her neck and softly said, "I will protect Mommy."
Daisy lowered her gaze to the child.
Erin’s big, earnest eyes looked back at her.
She smiled slightly and rubbed her cheek against his soft little head.
"Okay."
Erin hugged her tightly and laughed with joy.

The next day, Lady Stephens came personally in their family car to pick her up from where she was staying.
Daisy was having breakfast with little Erin, and Lady Stephens waited outside for a while. When she saw Daisy come out alone, she was a bit puzzled, "Aren’t you taking Erin with you today?"
Daisy shook her head, "He has classes later."
The university professors that Robert Stephens found for Erin were waiting in the living room, all elderly gentlemen with white hair. Being respectful to the elderly and fond of the young, Daisy couldn’t justify taking little Erin out first.
"Classes...," Lady Stephens nodded, "George has classes today too, so it’s just the two of us going to see Edward." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
The children of the Stephens family, one might say, were also quite pitiful, having to learn so much at such a young age.
Daisy turned back and looked at the living room with some concern.
Little Erin had already gone to the study with those elderly gentlemen.
She couldn’t help but wonder how they would get along today, and whether he would adapt to this way of getting educated.
A three-and-a-half-year-old having to attend university-level courses...
Daisy sighed softly in her heart.
What kind of little monster had she given birth to?
...
Arriving at the door of Edward Stephens’s hospital room, before the door was even pushed open, the sounds of women’s laughter and joy could be heard from inside.
Daisy’s face immediately darkened.
Lady Stephens, hearing the sound of her son conversing with women, was obviously embarrassed as well and gave a loud cough at the doorway.
However, whatever game they were playing inside, the sound from outside didn’t reach them, and the two continued to laugh happily.
Lady Stephens glanced at Daisy, then, steeling herself, opened the door to find Edward Stephens and Coco sitting by the window. Between them was a small table, with a large toy barrel with swords stuck in it placed atop, and Edward lifted his hand to flick Coco’s forehead forcefully.
"Ah!" Coco cried out in pain, instinctively covering her forehead. "Why did you do it so hard!"
Edward didn’t respond, just turned his head to look toward the door.
Coco, following his gaze, saw Lady Stephens and Daisy and stood up somewhat awkwardly.
"You, you all!" Lady Stephens stood at the door, livid. She walked over, pulling Coco away from beside Edward, her face pale as she demanded, "What were you doing?!"
Coco glanced at Lady Stephens as if frightened by her reaction, stammering, "I-I thought Edward was bored, so I brought a game for him to play..."
"Leave!" Lady Stephens glanced at the plastic toy, snapping sternly.
Coco bowed her head and quickly fled.
Lady Stephens, with a fierce expression, went over to chastise her son.
"Edward, how can you be playing games with young ladies here?" Lady Stephens, seeing his indifferent expression, was infuriated, "You already have a wife and child, don’t you feel any shame flirting with other girls?!"
Edward frowned, "What are you talking about?"
"As a married man, you should maintain a distance from other young ladies!"
The man turned his head, glanced at Daisy at the door, and then said, "Isn’t she the ex-wife?"
Lady Stephens was furious, "Is ex-wife not still a wife?"
Edward leaned back lazily against the chair, speaking with a tone somewhat careless, "Didn’t we divorce a long time ago?"
"You!" Lady Stephens was at a loss for how to properly reprimand him.
"It was just a game," Edward said, "I’m bored doing rehab alone here, and Coco chatting with me isn’t a big deal. Why are you making such a fuss?"
He was quite self-righteous.
Lady Stephens wished she could teach him a lesson, "Do you think this is fair to Daisy?!"
Edward looked at her, his tone very calm, lacking any emotion, "I don’t remember."
He didn’t remember his past, nor theirs. What he saw and could remember upon opening his eyes was only the present.
As a patient, he naturally wasn’t obligated to be responsible for a stranger.
Lady Stephens opened her mouth, looking at the somewhat indifferent side of her son’s face. She suddenly realized how cruel those lies she had told Daisy were.
And this cruelty, she had experienced twice in its entirety.
