His soul-Chapter 507: Interrogation
"Sir!"
Doctor Dorothea, who was grabbing and pulling Massimo to his car with Doctor Olivia, stopped in her tracks when he heard Martin shouting, calling for Massimo.
"If you still want to be able to see Gina and your baby better tell your men not to make a fuss," said Doctor Dorothea firmly.
Massimo, who still didn’t understand what had happened, was silent when he heard Doctor Dorothea’s warning. The enraged Doctor Olivia surprisingly took her fingers into Massimo’s other free hand and said, "We are Gina’s personal doctor, a woman who was dumped by her husband when she was pregnant. A young woman who almost lost her sanity because of her husband’s actions. Do you understand?!"
Massimo’s expression changed. "Lost her sanity?" Massimo repeated doctor Olivia’s words by lengthening each syllable of the word he had just said.
"Dorothea, Georgina Sanders’ personal psychiatrist. Do you know how a psychiatrist like me could be a doctor for that poor girl?"
Massimo subconsciously shook his head.
"Because the wound you made two months ago managed to evoke a big wound that Gina had kept to herself for years, the hurt and disappointment of a girl who had never received the love of her biological father for years finally made her reflect on herself will suffer the same fate as the mother who finally has to die alone," said Doctor Dorothea coldly without the slightest respect or hesitation when talking to Massimo, even though she knew who Massimo was, but in the eyes of Doctor Dorothea at this time Massimo was like a criminal. A criminal who nearly took the lives of the two most precious to himself.
Massimo’s chest felt tight, his heart felt like it was being squeezed from within at this moment. Massimo’s face which was previously so dark and terrifying now looked pale as if all the blood in his head had been sucked out.
Seeing Massimo’s change in expression made Doctor Dorothea smile widely. "Why? Surprised? You certainly wouldn’t have guessed if what you did two months ago had this big of an effect on her?"
Massimo, who was still very surprised by doctor Dorothea’s words earlier, could only shake his head weakly when he got another angular question from the psychiatrist.
Doctors Dorothea and Doctor Olivia really enjoyed Massimo’s real surprise, the two doctors who had been trying to look after Gina and the baby for more than two months seemed satisfied to see the person who made their dear patient suffer get revenge. But this is nothing, doctor Dorothea and doctor Olivia still have many more sharp and piercing words that they have prepared for Massimo.
"Now you better come with us, there are many things you should know before you enter through the gate guarded by the gunman," said Doctor Olivia quietly as she released her grip on Massimo’s arm then pointed to Doctor Dorothea’s car which was parked not far from where they are currently.
Without arguing, Massimo also followed doctor Olivia’s orders into Doctor Dorothea’s car. Seeing the master get into a white sedan voluntarily made Martin’s chest rumble and he was very worried. Even though he didn’t hear Massimo’s conversation with the two foreign women, Martin was sure there was something big they just talked about.
When he saw the car that took Massimo away, Martin immediately ran to his car and asked everyone to catch up to doctor Dorothea’s white car which was heading to the doctor’s office himself. Realizing that he was being chased, Doctor Dorothea slowed down the car. This was intended to make Massimo’s men aware that he had no ill intentions towards their master.
After fifteen minutes had passed, the cars stopped in front of the house where Doctor Dorothea was practicing. Right in front of the entrance, Doctor Olivia’s car was parked there. Previously, Doctor Olivia approached Doctor Dorothea before leaving for the Sanders family’s house and after various considerations, the two doctors finally decided to go together in one car until they unexpectedly saw Massimo who was standing there, almost making a scene at the Sanders house.
"Your loyal subordinate," said Doctor Dorothea quietly. "They can come in if they want, I really feel uncomfortable seeing mafia armed with guns surrounding my practice suspiciously like this."
Martin’s face turned red when he heard Doctor Dorothea’s harsh sarcasm, using his right hand Martin gave instructions to all his men to lower their weapons and act normal. After everyone put their guns back in, Martin then looked at the doctor Dorothea sharply as if to tell her that he had solved the problem.
Because Martin had solved the problem, Doctor Dorothea then led him into her practice followed by Massimo and Doctor Olivia who came in almost at the same time. Not wanting anything unwanted to happen, Martin rushed into Dorothea’s doctor’s office just as Olivia was about to close the door.
As soon as Massimo sat down, Doctor Dorothea then immediately played a video of her therapy session with Gina. The video that Doctor Dorothea played was a video of the first therapy session where it was one of the most difficult sessions for Doctor Dorothea because Gina was really uncooperative. Gina, who is still very depressed and devastated by her divorce from Massimo, makes Doctor Dorothea have to be patient with her, Gina only started talking after the therapy session lasted an hour.
Seeing the video played by Doctor Dorothea made Massimo’s tears flow freely, seeing how Gina stammered in speech made Massimo’s chest feel very sore as if there were dozens of sharp knives stabbing him at the same time.
"Honey..." Massimo said quietly without realizing it, seeing Gina sobbing while touching her stomach which was still flat in the video made Massimo’s deepest point tremble violently. Massimo was truly the most unscrupulous man in the world.
"Doctor!" Massimo protested loudly. "Why turn it off?" Massimo, who missed Gina so much, was furious when the video he was watching was turned off unilaterally by Doctor Dorothea.
Martin, who was standing not far from Massimo, also gave a disapproving look at Doctor Dorothea, who had folded her arms across her chest.
"My purpose in inviting you to this place is not to show the video, there are other serious things that I must speak to you as the father of the baby Gina was carrying and the man who destroyed Gina," said Doctor Dorothea firmly. "What I want to ask is what is the purpose of your return after two months away?"
"I didn’t know Gina was pregnant when I divorced her," Massimo said hoarsely with regret. "I’m really very sorry."
"The classic reason, a man would talk like that after knowing that he had made a mistake," said Doctor Olivia sarcastically. "Gina doesn’t need you anymore, now she has her family who accompanies her and helps her get out of her slump. So it’s better if you cancel your plans to meet her, you’re divorced after all, right?"
Massimo’s face and ears turned red, the very harsh words of Doctor Olivia hit him.
"Currently Gina has managed to rise from her slump, sir. The difficult times that Gina went through for herself two months ago she has managed to get through with a struggle that is not easy and it seems she doesn’t need you anymore, so my advice is that you better cancel your plans to see her. Because believe me, healing people who suffer from invisible wounds like Gina’s is really difficult. Not only for me as the therapist but also for the patient herself," said Doctor Dorothea seriously.
The clear tears that had been held in Massimo’s eyes for a long time dripped uncontrollably and this was the first time Massimo had cried in front of other people. "I-I’m sorry, I should have been more patient with Gina."
Doctor Dorothea’s lips curved. "Gina said those words in her third therapy session."
"What?"
"Yeah, Gina also said she was sorry. She shouldn’t have followed her own ego so that your separation happened, but do you know why Gina seems so disobedient to you as her husband?"
Massimo shook his head slowly. "I do not know."
"Gina is like that because she longs for love, living alone with her mother in stifling limitations for years until she finally has to lose her mother at a very young age makes Gina want to continue to be around people who love her, to be close to her. her father whom she only met after many years. The figure of a father for a girl is everything, you could say a father is a girl’s first love. But Gina did not find this, Gina who was raised alone by her mother had a very big wound in her life. The pain, disappointment, anger, jealousy and sadness all mixed inside Gina for years. That’s why when she met her father, met her younger siblings, Gina always wanted to be close to them. Feel the harmony of a family intact." Doctor Dorothea paused, allowing Massimo to digest what she had just said. "As well as being close to that guy named Lucas Dom you hate so much."
Massimo’s droopy eyes immediately turned red. "How did you know about Lucas in that jerk?"
Doctor Dorotea pursed her lips. "Seems like you really hate him, huh?"
"I hate him so much, all my fights with Gina are always started by that damn man. He still bothers Gina who has become my wife," said Massimo full of emotion.
Doctor Dorotea chuckled. "You don’t seem to know Gina very well."
"What do you mean, doctor? Of course I know my wife, even from all the members of the Sanders family who are proud of it, I’m the only person who really knows my wife inside and out," said Massimo, starting to be provoked by the provocation of Doctor Dorotea who was trying to read his character.
"If you know her so well then why don’t you trust her? Isn’t the main and most important thing in a husband and wife relationship is mutual trust?"
