Chapter 455: Chapter 455 Camp (1)

"I... I don’t know..." she muttered, shrinking a little, hiding half her face in his arm while sniffing his scent, that faint mix of light perfume and his own masculine warmth.

Leo’s lips curved slowly.

"Little bunny," he murmured, the nickname coming out like a breath of fondness he couldn’t hold back. Overwhelmed by how adorable she looked, he pulled her even closer, wrapping his arm fully around her and pressing her against his side. "Call me hubby," he whispered right against her ear, his voice dropping into that deep tone that always made her heart jump.

Bella swallowed hard, her voice tiny. "Hubby..."

Leo chuckled, the sound warm and pleased as he tilted his head to look at her shy, glowing face. "You’re so shy, bunny," he whispered, his smirk growing slowly, "I wonder what happens when—"

Cough.

Cough.

Zion coughed pointedly from the back seat, looking out the window like a loyal bodyguard forced into romance torture. "We’re still here, you know," he said flatly.

Bella froze, her cheeks exploding into deep pink, and she immediately tried to hide again, this time burying her entire face in Leo’s chest like a flustered little rabbit trying to escape the world.

Leo laughed softly, absolutely delighted by her reaction. Before she could slip away, he slid one arm under her knees and the other around her back and lifted her gently, settling her right on his lap.

Bella’s eyes widened in shock as she found herself sitting there, her small hands gripping his shirt and her cheek resting against the warm line of his shoulder.

"Leo!!"

"Shh," he whispered, amused, resting his chin lightly on her head. "If you’re going to hide, then hide here."

He held her more securely, one large hand stroking her arm in slow circles, the other resting protectively at her waist. Her soft hair brushed against his jaw as she settled there, still embarrassed, still blushing, still trying to look anywhere but at Zion.

Zion sighed dramatically and muttered, "God help me."

But Bella only curled up more tightly against Leo, and Leo only tightened his arms around her, a soft smile playing at his lips.

The moment their cars rolled into the clearing, Bella felt her breath catch in her throat. The place looked like something plucked from a dreamy travel magazine. A wide stretch of soft green grass opened into a quiet valley, tall trees swayed gently at the edges as if guarding the space, and sunlight poured down in warm, golden sheets. The air smelled clean and sweet, touched with the scent of pine and faraway water, and a soft breeze brushed past like a welcoming hand.

What she didn’t know, what only a handful of people quietly knew, was that Leo had been preparing this for days. He had chosen the location carefully, sending his security team ahead to clear every path and corner, making sure not even a stray insect could cause her trouble.

He had planned this trip for his little Bella.

He still remembered that day when she sat on the couch with her legs curled and watched some cartoon kids packing marshmallows and flashlights for a school camping trip. He had asked her casually if she liked camping. She had looked at him with those big, bright eyes and told him she never had the chance.

So he had quietly decided to give her that experience. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

A real camping trip.

A surprise for her.

But the universe had surprised him instead, bringing back his big Bella before he could give the little one the memory he prepared so carefully.

Even so, as he watched her now, stepping out of the car with wide sparkling eyes, her hair lifting in the breeze while she tried to take everything in, something warm settled in Leo’s chest.

Big Bella or little Bella, she still looked exactly like the girl he wanted to give the world to.

"Beautiful," Dominique breathed, spinning slowly as he admired the open field. "I swear I could stay here forever."

Casper nodded eagerly, stuffing his hands into his pockets as he stared at the scenery. "Indeed. This place feels like a wallpaper."

Meanwhile Bella was already smiling at their reactions until she heard Leo’s voice.

"Are you feeling okay now?" he asked quietly, glancing at Scarlett, who was resting her head on Zion’s shoulder.

Scarlett froze, her eyes widening like she had just spotted a ghost wearing Leo’s face.

leo.

Asking if she was okay.

She, Scarlett, the girl he usually glared at for stealing Bella’s attention.

For a whole two seconds she wondered if she was hallucinating from motion sickness.

Bella’s little hand flew up to her mouth, her eyes shimmering with shock. "Leo... you’re being nice," she whispered dramatically, as if witnessing a historic moment.

Leo’s jaw flexed. Yes, Scarlett was confused. Yes, everyone was confused. But he didn’t care because Bella looked like she was about to cry from happiness, and that was exactly why he did it. He only liked her tears when they were out of happiness and second when she was on his bed..

Scarlett finally managed a small nod. "I’m fine now," she said, still unsure if she should be grateful or terrified.

Leo simply hummed, completely unbothered.

Inside, he was thinking only one thing:

If being nice to Scarlett makes my Bunny happy, then I’ll do it again.

Zion chuckled, knowing exactly why Leo being nice. It was obviously to impress his little wife.

And Leo seemed happy as Bella clung to him, saying, "You’re so great, you’re so nice."

Jay clapped his hands together once, a bright grin spreading across his face as he turned toward the open ground. "Alright, let’s set up camp," he announced.

Bella’s eyes sparkled the moment she heard the word camp. She tugged at the hem of her dress like an excited child, then darted toward Jay with small, eager steps, almost bouncing.

Dominique stepped forward, grabbing one of the camping bags the bodyguard placed on the ground. He looked at it the way a man looks at a bomb he is pretending to understand. "These tents open with gas pressure, right?" he murmured, tapping the side thoughtfully.

Jason came to stand beside him, peeking curiously over his shoulder. "I think so," he whispered. "If you twist the wrong knob, it flies away. I saw a video once. The tent took a man with it."

Dominique slowly stepped back. "Okay. Bodyguards can handle it."

Jason nodded quickly. "Yes, yes. We must supervise. From a safe distance."

Bella giggled softly, hiding her smile behind her hands as she watched them pretend to act professional while clearly scared of the equipment. Jay caught her giggle and puffed his chest proudly.

"Don’t worry, Bella. These two are hopeless, but we’ll get your tent ready, okay?" he said, ruffling her hair gently.

Leo watched from the side, hands in his pockets, expression calm but with the smallest smile pulling at his mouth.
