City's Best Divine Doctor-Chapter 1781 - 1741: As Expected, Exceeding the Limit
Ye Qiu had just cured his twins, and Yang Guang was quite pleased, but unexpectedly, upon suddenly learning that the mansion had excessive radiation and toxic gas levels, he felt utterly deceived.
Being the richest man in Ruili, he naturally managed all sorts of real estate there. He had heard of excessive decoration standards, but he never imagined the place he lived in would be such.
According to Dr. Ye’s words, Yang Guang realized that if it weren’t for the children’s weaker constitution, the adults probably would have contracted leukemia or some cancers after a long time.
"Dr. Ye, I’ll have someone prepare lunch, you just sit."
As Ye Qiu sat there, Yang Guang stepped outside; they had all kinds of drinks here, coffee, red tea, and such. Southern Yunnan was abundant in coffee and tea production, but as far as Ye Qiu was concerned, the coffee here was nothing compared to that of the Caribbean Sea.
There were also many tropical fruits available.
Ye Qiu sat comfortably, watching the oversized movie.
Soon, a young woman walked in, and after confirming her son and daughter were alright, she finally felt relieved, knowing that even if she divorced Yang Guang, their children’s affairs ensured she would receive a substantial share of property.
"Dr. Ye, I really can’t thank you enough this time," the young woman said.
"I’m being paid for the medical treatment, no need to thank me," Ye Qiu replied.
However, Ye Qiu felt this young woman was different from other beauties, was she from a minority ethnic group?
There should be many minority groups in this area of Southern Yunnan, especially around here.
"Are you from the Dai ethnic group?"
Ye Qiu asked.
"Yes, Dr. Ye."
The woman responded.
A beauty from the Dai ethnic group?
Given Yang Guang’s wealth, marrying someone from a minority group was quite normal.
"Hehe, I’m just the principal wife, you never know how many more wives Yang Guang has outside," the young woman added.
She couldn’t even count those from Myanmar, but she couldn’t control them as long as they weren’t brought back here.
Ye Qiu chuckled and said nothing further.
About half an hour later, the company employees tasked with checking radiation and toxic gas levels arrived, as Yang Guang had invited several just in case he was deceived.
At lunchtime, when Ye Qiu went to eat, he was accompanied by Yang Guang and his wife.
Ye Qiu noticed the meal was quite lavish, featuring authentic Southern Yunnan cuisine, but it was somewhat sweet with curry added, giving it a yellow tint. This didn’t stimulate Ye Qiu’s appetite much.
"Dr. Ye, how do you find the taste of the food?"
"It’s alright, I’m not particularly fond of Southern Yunnan cuisine."
Yang Guang then remembered Ye Qiu was from Jiangnan Province, so it wasn’t unusual he didn’t like this kind of food.
After they finished lunch, Yang Guang said, "Mr. Ye, you’re not just a doctor but also an important guest in our home. Whatever you’d like to eat tonight, just tell the housekeeper. If it can’t be bought in Ruili, we’ll get it from Kunming."
After exiting the dining room, Ye Qiu took a walk around the Yang family mansion and noticed that despite the careful attention to Feng Shui, the renovations almost claimed the household’s lives.
After checking everything out, Ye Qiu returned, drinking tea in the living room, and saw Yang Guang come back with a furious expression and said to Ye Qiu, "Dr. Ye, you were right; the radiation from all this marble is way over the limit. I was deceived."
The radiation from these marble pieces was seriously over the limit; living here was akin to being invisibly radiated 24/7. Over time, it naturally made the twins contract leukemia.
"And those renovation materials, they’re all over the toxic gas limits too."
Many of the renovation materials he used were the most expensive, some bought locally, some transported from afar. Apart from the raw redwood furniture which didn’t exceed standards, everything else had issues.
Yang Guang and his wife were now afraid to live here any longer. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
He was considering having everything torn down directly.
"It seems we can’t live here. Everything has to be torn down and rebuilt."
"Mr. Yang, there’s no need for that. If you spend a bit more, I can help eliminate all toxic gases here."
Eliminate everything?
How to eliminate?
Even if it’s rebuilt and renovated to the same luxurious standards, it’ll still turn out the same sooner or later.
There’s scarcely any non-toxic standard material available, so Ye Qiu thought it would be redundant and a waste of money, better to give that money to him.
"You can even do that?" Yang Guang was more surprised.
"Give me two days, and I should be able to eliminate the toxic gases here. As for radiation, I’ll try it out; not sure if it’ll work. If it doesn’t, these marbles might need to be dug up."
Ye Qiu had never tried absorbing radiation, but he was sure about toxic gases.
"Alright, Dr. Ye, if you handle it, I’ll pay you 50 million."
Yang Guang said.
After Yang Guang went busy with other things, Ye Qiu was left alone. The housekeeper had already prepared a luxurious guest room for him, naturally more luxurious than any suite in a five-star hotel outside.
Ye Qiu closed the door, sat inside, and thought about starting absorption, but since he’d used too much Spiritual Energy earlier, he stopped to wait for the night to cultivate and absorb those spiritual energies before dealing with the toxic gases nearby.
At dinner time, when the housekeeper came to ask Ye Qiu what he wanted to eat, Ye Qiu said, "I just want some seafood."
Seafood?
There wasn’t a sea nearby, so there wasn’t as much seafood as in coastal areas, but it should still be obtainable.
Given that, the housekeeper went to prepare.
Around seven in the evening, when the housekeeper called Ye Qiu for dinner, an entire table of seafood had been prepared.
Most of this seafood was imported from Myanmar and Vietnam. Although Southern Yunnan was near a sea dubbed as Erhai, it was just a freshwater lake, so there wouldn’t be seafood, only freshwater fish.
These were the freshest seafood available, showing how wealthy and resourceful the Yang family was.
Yang Guang wasn’t there, only the young woman accompanied Ye Qiu for dinner. Seeing Ye Qiu being young, skilled in medical skills, and, most importantly, having cured her children, she had a different attitude towards Ye Qiu.
"Dr. Ye, do you have a girlfriend? Should I introduce you to some?"
"Of course I do, no need for introductions."
Ye Qiu treated romantic matters naturally, without much deliberation, as he already had several young ladies accompanying him; this trip to Southern Yunnan was just to cure Mr. Yang’s children.
After Ye Qiu finished dinner, took a bath, and then in his room, he gazed at the moonlight through the window.
When moonlight filtered in, Ye Qiu began his cultivation there.
