Hero Hack: Reversing Heroes and Raising Harem-Chapter 90: You Belong to Me!
Chapter 90: You Belong to Me!
Zain stretched his arms, feeling the slight pop in his shoulders.
"So... what do I do now?"
Savra turned and leaned against the wall, arms crossed.
"Go on a mission."
Zain raised an eyebrow. "Mission?"
She nodded.
"Of course."
"You passed the combat portion."
"But you still need to complete an official objective."
Zain tilted his head.
"Let me guess... It’s not just paperwork."
Savra smirked.
"Nope."
"You need to catch or take down at least one verified A-Rank villain or monster."
"Then bring the proof back to the Association building."
"That’s how your A-Rank qualification gets finalized."
Zain scratched his chin.
"So it’s like... a hunting test?"
"Exactly," she said.
"We call it the Field Proof Trial."
"Only heroes who can operate independently in high-threat zones are allowed A-Rank clearance."
Zain nodded. "Makes sense."
Savra turned and tapped her wrist device, pulling up a map.
"I’d recommend the BC area."
"There’s been activity lately."
"A few confirmed A-Rank threats roaming the edges."
"Could be villains, could be rogue beasts."
Zain studied the map, then looked back at her.
"Alright. I’ll head out soon."
Savra gave a satisfied nod.
"While you’re out hunting, I’ll take your sister on a little extended vacation."
Zain blinked. "You will?"
"She deserves it," Savra said.
"Let her enjoy the life you’re building for her."
Zain smiled faintly.
"Yeah... let her feel what peace looks like."
Savra smirked.
"I’ll make sure she’s safe. Don’t worry."
Zain headed for the door, coat slung over his shoulder.
"Then I guess it’s my turn to work."
"Go make your mark, Heavenly Demon," she said as he left.
"And try not to break the entire BC zone."
Zain laughed. "No promises."
---
Zain strolled casually through one of the upper districts of BB-1.
For once, everything felt quiet.
Until it didn’t.
Zain stopped mid-step.
His expression shifted.
Something tugged at him.
Deep in his chest, through the link.
"...Velra?"
He closed his eyes.
A wave of emotion surged through the bond.
Fear. Rage. Desperation.
His jaw clenched. "She’s in trouble."
The emotion flared again, sharper this time.
He could feel her panic. Her anger.
Someone had her cornered.
"Damn it," he growled.
"Who the hell dares to touch my slave?"
He reached for the link, trying to sense her exact location.
The pull pointed one direction.
Southwest.
BC Zone.
His eyes narrowed.
"Of course... just when I’m supposed to head to BC for my A-Rank trial."
He tapped his fingers against his temple.
"Coincidence?"
Didn’t matter.
The fury growing in his chest made it clear.
This wasn’t optional.
He turned around.
His pace changed from casual to focused.
"You picked the wrong girl to grab."
The bond pulsed again.
She was still fighting. Still resisting.
That made him grin.
"Good. Keep resisting, Velra."
"Just wait for me."
His voice dropped cold.
"I’ll make sure anyone who laid a finger on you pays."
He vanished down the nearest alley.
he was already heading toward the BC transport station.
It was no longer just a test.
Now?
It was personal.
---
The ruins of Sector BC-3 lay silent under the gray morning haze.
Velra walked alone through the debris.
She didn’t glance back.
She already knew they were behind her.
Three shadows trailed close.
One on the rooftops, one to her left in the alley.
And one pacing slowly down the center of the road.
She stopped.
"You’ve been following me for two blocks."
"Are we going to talk or jump straight to the drama?"
A low chuckle answered from above.
Rynka dropped down onto a crumbled car.
Her sharp hair swayed like a curtain of blades.
"Since when did you start acting like a main character?"
To Velra’s right, Drayv stepped forward.
Bare-chested under his cracked armor.
His stony skin already started to spread across his shoulders.
And from ahead, Karven walked calmly.
His eyes locked on hers.
Cold, sharp, and disappointed.
"You came back different," Karven said.
"Yesterday, you avoided questions. Changed your tone. And now..."
He gestured toward her neck.
"The collar."
Velra didn’t touch it. Didn’t speak.
Rynka squinted at it.
"It’s new. Sleek. Expensive. Not one of ours. And it glows."
Drayv’s stone teeth ground together.
"You didn’t even try to hide it."
Karven’s fingers flexed.
"Velra. Who gave you that collar?"
Still, she said nothing.
He stepped closer. "Take it off."
Velra didn’t move. "No."
Karven’s eye twitched.
Rynka blinked. "Wait... you can’t, can you?"
They all looked at her now.
Karven’s jaw clenched.
"What the hell happened to you?"
Velra finally raised her head, eyes calm.
"Nothing that concerns you anymore."
Drayv growled. "You went soft."
"No," Rynka whispered.
"She’s been claimed."
Karven’s voice dropped.
"Who. Did. This?"
Velra smiled.
But it wasn’t her usual one.
Karven’s eyes flared. "You belong to me."
The words echoed. Heavy. Possessive.
Velra tilted her head. "I never did."
Karven snapped.
Steel wires shot from his sleeves.
They sliced through the air toward her limbs.
Velra vanished and appeared behind them.
The collar pulsed once.
"You’re making a mistake." freēwēbnovel.com
Drayv roared and charged. "No, you did!"
Velra dodged left, flipped over rubble, and landed near a shattered wall.
Karven raised a hand. "Corner her."
Rynka moved fast, her echo voice disorienting the field.
Drayv circled wide. Karven blocked the only exit.
Velra backed up into the wall. No expression. No fear.
Karven’s voice was cold.
"Whoever you’re loyal to now... it ends today."
Velra looked down once at the collar.
Then smiled again.
"Then come try."
---
The rail cart screeched to a halt just outside BC-3’s boundary zone.
Zain jumped down without waiting for the system to confirm arrival.
His eyes narrowed.
The pulse was getting stronger now.
Velra’s presence.
Tied to him through the Flesh Brand.
He could feel her.
Cornered.
Pressed.
And fighting to stay calm.
Zain quickly ran through alleys and rubble-covered streets.
Ignoring the warnings buzzing in his wristband.
BC-3 was unregulated and unchecked
But that didn’t matter.
Not now.
"Damn it."
"Be safe, Velra."
He sprinted past a collapsed building.
Eyes scanning for heat signatures, sound, anything.
But he didn’t need confirmation.
He knew where she was.
Just a little farther.
The pull sharpened.
Panic mixed with defiance.
He clenched his jaw.
"I didn’t break you just to lose you," Zain growled.
"You’re mine."
He leapt from a ledge onto a slanted rooftop and kept running.
"I won’t let my first slave die so easily."
The city around him blurred.
His target was clear.
Just hold on.
