Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are Are So Dangerous! [BL]-Chapter 319: The Wake-Up Call
Chapter 319: The Wake-Up Call
The feeling of pressing against Laxus’s body—it was weirdly realistic.
It unsettled him so much that he slowly pulled away, confused.
"...Huh?"
In front of him stood a very real-looking Laxus... frozen, blushing furiously.
Behind Laxus was a bed canopy Rocco recognized instantly.
The plush sensation at his back was also unmistakable. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
Wait.
Did the scenery just... change? Rocco blinked his eyes in confusion.
That’s when Laxus mumbled something under his breath.
"Ro-Rocco... just now, did you say..."
Laxus’s crimson eyes shimmered, glistening with sudden emotion.
He leaned in closer.
Why does it feel like he’s way too close?
Rocco tilted his head, puzzled—just as Laxus, overcome with emotion, closed the gap completely.
Something soft pressed against his lips.
"MMMPH!?"
Wha—why the heck is he kissing me all of a sudden!?
You were just kissing Sylas five seconds ago, weren’t you!?
Rocco wanted to shout, but Laxus’s fiery, overly passionate kiss smothered the complaint completely.
"Hnnn... mmmph... mmfff—"
Wet.
So, so wet.
The kiss had been going on for several minutes now, and Rocco was starting to worry that his whole face was going to get soggy.
He wasn’t even blushing anymore—he’d passed that stage and moved into full-on exasperation mode.
Laxus clung to him like a man who are starved, he kissing him like he’d just found the love of his life after decades apart.
Rocco wanted to ask What the hell are you so happy about!? but every word he might have said was muffled into silence by Laxus’s relentless lips.
Mmmph. Mmmnngh.
Minutes passed.
Then finally, finally...
"Mmm... haaah..."
Laxus let out a soft, sensual breath and slowly pulled away.
Rocco took a massive gasp of air.
Sweet, sweet oxygen! I live again!
As he wiped his soaked mouth on his sleeve, he felt a hand gently patting his head.
He glanced up.
Laxus was smiling at him with the softest, most lovestruck expression Rocco had ever seen.
He stared at him with his wide eyes.
Then Laxus said something completely and utterly insane.
"Hehe... don’t worry. I will only kiss you, Rocco. Did you have a dream where someone else kissed me or something? Saying things like ’only I can kiss Laxus’... You’re such a perv, Rocco."
Damn it.
Wha—what the hell is wrong with him?!
He had just woken up, and already Laxus was acting like some deranged romantic lead, giggling and muttering sweet nothings to himself.
This... this wasn’t the Laxus from the original story.
This was some bizarre post-dream ultra-affectionate Laxus.
And then, there was something off about Laxus’s hands.
He kept stroking Rocco’s thigh, his stomach—everywhere.
Hey, cut it out already!
He was still technically a patient, right?
Assaulting an injured person is the absolute worst!
This damn pervert.
Swatting at Laxus with a few light smacks, Rocco wriggled free from the wandering hands and tried to sit up slowly.
Or at least, tried to—until a sharp, stabbing pain shot through him just below the chest, sending him collapsing back down.
"Augh!" he cried out, flopping over dramatically.
Oww owww owww...
"You can’t, Rocco," Laxus chided gently. "The wound might be closed, but you still need rest."
"Uuuugh... it hurts... fweh..."
"There, there. I know it does. Come here, I’ll hold you."
Still sniffling, Rocco was effortlessly scooped up into Laxus’s arms.
Laxus wrapped him in a tender embrace, cradling him with gentle care.
He patted him here and there, softly comforting him.
Rocco let out a small breath of relief.
This warmth, this kindness—there was no doubt about it.
This was his usual Laxus.
Ever since the scenery had shifted and things began to feel more real, Rocco had started to suspect it.
And now, he was certain: he was really awake.
This wasn’t the Laxus from that dream.
Feeling that truth sink in, Rocco finally relaxed and hugged Laxus back tightly.
Squeeze, squish—tight hugs!
He’s warm and soft and cozy.
Hehe...
"Laxus..."
"Mhm. It’s me. I’m right here."
Rocco nuzzled into Laxus’s chest, and Laxus gently stroked his hair in return.
Smiling goofily, Rocco tightened his hold even more—looping his arms and legs around Laxus like a clingy little koala.
Koala mode: achieved.
He felt rather proud of it too.
Eheh.
Perfect execution.
Things were feeling calm and peaceful—until suddenly, a thought popped into his head, freezing his movements.
He looked up at Laxus with a curious tilt of his head, tugging at the hem of Laxus’s clothes. "Hey, hey," he called.
Laxus smiled at him. "What is it?"
With his wide, innocent eyes, Rocco asked the question that had just sprung to mind,
"How long was I’m sleeping? A day maybe? Is everyone freaking out about me?"
Laxus let out a strange little laugh—one of those awkward, hard-to-read chuckles.
What was that? What’s with that face?
Rocco furrowed his brows, puzzled.
Did I say something weird?
While absentmindedly petting Rocco’s cheeks, Laxus answered, oh-so-casually,
"Two weeks."
"...Huh?"
"It’s been two weeks since you collapsed, Rocco. Today makes exactly fourteen days."
The color drained from Rocco’s face.
His whole body tensed up, but Laxus just pulled him in closer and gave him another snug squeeze.
Normally, that would’ve been nice, but this was not the time!
Cut it out, and don’t sneak in a kiss like that while you’re at it!
"TW-TWO WEEKS!?"
"Yup. Two full weeks."
"Whaaat?!" Rocco practically shouted, completely floored.
With his arms raised straight up like he was doing a victory pose, he expressed his full-on shock.
Two weeks!? This wasn’t just oversleeping—this was full-blown panic mode! He’d definitely overdone it on the nap front.
But... thinking about it more calmly, it kind of made sense.
He had relived the original storyline over a hundred times in that dream before finally waking up.
Of course a lot of time must’ve passed.
Still though—two weeks?
That was dangerously close to a mini-coma!
Mnnngh...
"Uhh... I—I’m such a sleepyhead..." he mumbled.
"You really are," Laxus said with a gentle chuckle. "You wouldn’t wake up at all. I was really worried about you."
