Help, I'm in Another World and All the Men Are Are So Dangerous! [BL]-Chapter 318: The Dream Meltdown
Chapter 318: The Dream Meltdown
Rocco was dreaming.
He had been aware of it for some time now—but how long exactly had it been?
It was hard to say.
The dream kept repeating, over and over, so it must have been a while.
He remembered taking a direct hit from a spell and blacking out from the excruciating pain.
The first time he woke up in this dream, he felt relieved—Thank goodness, I’m not dead!—but that sense of relief had long since worn off.
Honestly, he was starting to suspect that maybe he had died after all.
Was this just a dream? Or was it heaven? Or hell?
Even that was starting to blur.
"Ugh... how long is this going to go on..."
He muttered with a sigh, his eyes fixed blankly on the scene playing out before him for what felt like the hundredth time.
It was the same ending again—the one from the original story.
Yes, the dream was literally the story from the original novel unfolding like real life.
The two protagonists, Laxus and Sylas, overcoming hardship after hardship together and finally reaching their pinnacle of their lives.
And Rocco?
He was forced to watch it all unfold in front of him from a ghostly, floating perspective—like some kind of lingering spirit.
Honestly, it was weird.
Really weird.
Watching Laxus and Sylas getting together made his skin crawl a little.
That aloof, high-and-mighty Sylas acting all delicate and nestling into Laxus’s arms?
That was the biggest nope of all.
Rocco nearly shouted at the scene—Come on, Sylas would totally punch him in the face right there!
"Mmmgh..."
But above all, what really drove him crazy... was the irritation bubbling in his chest.
Every time they got close to the ending, every time those romantic scenes popped up—it just made him feel worse.
His cheeks puffed out and his brows furrowed in frustration.
Even though he knew it was just a dream, he couldn’t help it.
It pissed him off.
Laxus, who used to shower him with affection and kisses, was now acting all smitten with Sylas?
It was ridiculous.
Even if he understood it was just the original story, and not real, he couldn’t stand the sight of Laxus smiling at Sylas like that.
The dream had already replayed a hundred times.
He’d probably watched it enough to recite every character’s lines by heart.
Which meant, naturally, his patience was running dangerously low.
He puffing his cheeks. His brows turned tense. Brimming with annoyance.
"M-Mmmgh... Mmhhgggh!"
The hundredth ending.
The infamous kiss scene between Laxus and Sylas.
It was a scene that used to make his heart flutter in his past life.
But now? It was his final straw.
"I’ve HAD ENOUGH OF THIS NONSENSE!"
With an angry huff, Rocco charged toward the couple who are in the middle of the kiss.
He knew he was probably still in some ghost-like form and would pass right through them—but dang it, he was going to throw an air punch anyway!
"Waaah!?"
Instead of phasing through them, his small frame collided directly with their muscular bodies, and he was sent flying backward like a ragdoll.
"What the heck did I just hit!?" he gasped, lying sprawled on the floor, stunned. "Was that a trampoline or something?!"
Legit terrified, he slowly sat up.
"What—what just happened?!"
Like a background character in a shonen manga, he staggered to his feet with his eyes spinning.
Still dazed, he looked up—and froze.
They were staring at him.
Both Laxus and Sylas.
Looking right at him.
No, no, that couldn’t be.
This was a dream! He was just a floating spirit, right?! There was no way they could see him.
"...Who’s this brat? Where did he come from?" Sylas asked, brows furrowed.
"Tch, we were just getting to the good part... How annoying," Laxus added with a smirk.
"GYAAAH!! THEY CAN SEE MEEE!!"
Their eyes were wide open, staring straight at him—and he felt it.
Panicking, Rocco scrambled back a few steps, eyes watering as the two of them stared at him like he was some kind of bug.
Why... why were they looking at him like that?
Where was the kindness? The warmth?
They were giving him that cold, indifferent look—just like in the original story, where nothing outside of each other mattered to them.
As Rocco trembled, his entire body shaking, Sylas suddenly shot him a sharp glare—one so terrifying it nearly stopped his heart.
From somewhere, Sylas produced a handgun and raised it without hesitation.
The barrel was aimed straight at him.
Rocco’s eyes welled up with tears.
A-Ah! Sylas’s pointing a gun at me! Even if this was a dream, that was still seriously depressing!
"What a nuisance. Shall I kill him?"
"Come on now, Sylas," Laxus said, pouting dramatically. "Ignore that little brat and just look at me. I get jealous, you know."
"...Don’t say stupid things."
"Hehe, are you blushing? So cute."
They were flirting.
Right in front of him.
Rocco’s entire body erupted in goosebumps.
He twitched uncontrollably.
Wait—wasn’t this the scene I used to squeal over when reading the book? Why is it so gross now?
Laxus gently cupped Sylas’s flushed cheek, smiling sweetly.
Nope. Nope nope nope.
Rocco wasn’t just annoyed or frustrated anymore—he was straight-up creeped out.
Maybe it was because he was used to watching these two people trying to kill each other before.
So, seeing them act all lovey-dovey now felt way off.
"Mmmgh... grrrghh..."
He kept watching, stewing in his discomfort, but he’d finally hit his breaking point.
Laxus and Sylas were leaning in close—about to kiss again.
Right before their lips met, Rocco puffed out his cheeks in rage and launched himself between them like a missile.
"Mmmnnn! TO HELL WITH THE ORIGINAL STORY!"
Startled, the pair stumbled backward.
Seeing an opening, Rocco turned around and lunged at Laxus with righteous fury.
"THE ONLY ONE WHO GETS TO KISS Laxus IS ME, DAMMIT!"
He threw his arms around Laxus, squeezing tight.
His vision went dark.
