Help! I Became A Guy In A BL Novel!-Chapter 103: Choose
Chapter 103: Choose
Once Soren was finally gone, Riven let out a shaky breath and sank back into the water, feeling his heart pound like a drum. Taking a deep breath, he sank into the water again.
Riven wrapped a towel around his waist as he stepped out of the bathroom, feeling more refreshed after the bath. His ears twitched slightly when he caught the sound of muffled voices outside the room. He didn’t even need to guess who it was. This had to be sorted out as soon as possible.
He quickly got dressed, he missed a few buttons in a rush to get out.
Taking a deep breath, he opened the door and walked out, only to be greeted by the sight of both Soren and Ronan standing there like guards on duty. Ronan’s face lit up instantly when he saw him, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, while Soren leaned against the wall with his arms folded, a smug expression on his face.
"You’re finally out," Soren said, his voice oozing with a teasing tone. "What took you so long? Did I tire you out in the bathroom?"
Ronan let out a low, almost inaudible growl, his fists clenching at his sides. Riven shot Soren a sharp look, giving him a silent warning to cut it out. Soren just smirked, thoroughly enjoying Ronan’s discomfort.
Choosing not to get caught up in their pettiness, Riven walked past them and took a seat at the small round table in the room. He was slightly closer to Ronan. And Ronan took the opportunity to scoot closer and correct the buttons Riven mismatched in a hurry.
Riven was surprised but stayed still as he did that. He did not look at Soren’s face because he was well aware that Soren hated it.
The air was tense, and it was obvious the two had been bickering while he was gone. When he glanced back, both men were now focused entirely on him, and he knew exactly what this was about.
Ronan cleared his throat, stepping forward. "Riven..." His voice was soft, almost hesitant, and his blue eyes glimmered with a mix of relief and longing. "Are you... Are you alright?"
Riven raised an eyebrow. "Why wouldn’t I be? I just took a bath."
Ronan nodded, though his shoulders remained tense. "I just... Wanted to make sure. After everything... I was worried."
Before Riven could reply, Soren scoffed, "As long as he is in my house, no one can touch him. I can’t say the same for you." It was no surprise that everyone knew how the elders would react.
Ronan put emphasis and gave them importance in decision making. He thought this would be the best way to go about things, considering how his forefathers gave them no respect and treated them like they were servants.
Ronan was adamant on proving himself to Riven, he wanted Riven to know that no one was above him and elder or not, if they dared to say anything against Riven, he would put them in their place.
Ronan glared at him but remained silent, his lips pressed into a thin line. Riven shot Soren a warning look, and Soren merely shrugged, unbothered.
"Enough," Riven finally said, his tone firm. "If you two start fighting again, I’m going to be extremely angry."
That seemed to get their attention, both men falling silent immediately. Ronan’s posture became more submissive, his gaze softening as he focused solely on Riven. Soren, on the other hand, didn’t lose his confident smirk, but he at least kept his mouth shut.
Riven glanced between the two of them and took a breath. "Look... I know both of you are on edge, but I made it out fine. And now, I need to take care of some loose ends. I left in such a rush earlier that I didn’t get to properly settle things."
Soren frowned deeply, stepping closer and standing behind Riven’s chair, he was practically looming over Riven. "Are you saying you’re leaving?" His voice dropped to a dangerously low pitch, and his eyes narrowed with a possessive glint. "You’re not going anywhere."
Riven met his gaze steadily, unflinching. "I’m not saying I’m leaving for good. I just have things to deal with."
Soren’s jaw clenched, and his fingers twitched like he wanted to grab Riven and never let go. "Loose ends? You mean those damn pests who thought they could touch you? I’ll kill them for you. Just point me in their direction."
Not surprisingly, Xavier told Soren about Riven’s past. And how he was mistreated by his father and step-brother. Soren looked into it himself and made sure to make their lives a ’bit’ difficult.
"No, I can do some things myself." Riven thought about that annoying step-brother of his. He wanted to make sure to personally insult him more, maybe he would cry in the process. Imagining Julius fall to his knees crying greatly lifted his mood.
Either way, there were certain things he’d like to do himself.
Soren’s eyes softened slightly, but the possessive fire remained. "I will come with you."
Riven blinked. No, the hell not! If he came, how could he flirt with his favourite bunny and Raffy?! He glanced at Ronan with a look. And perhaps because of the mating, Ronan immediately understood Riven’s feelings.
Ronan, who had remained silent so far, finally spoke up, his tone more measured and gentle. "Riven... Are you saying you’re going to go back to him... After you tie up those loose ends?"
Riven hesitated, noticing the way Ronan’s shoulders tensed even more. "Well... Yes. I don’t think I have a place in the wolf clan. I am a half breed, and everyone hates me-
"I can solve that easily." Ronan insisted.
He glanced at Soren, who was still watching him like a hawk. "It does not matter if you can. I am only going back because it’s better if I clear a few things up myself."
"Is this it? Are you choosing him?" Ronan asked, his voice filled with pain. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
