Help! I Became A Guy In A BL Novel!-Chapter 104: A Throuple
Chapter 104: A Throuple
Riven hesitated as the question hung in the air like a weight pressing down on his chest. His gaze flickered between the two men—Soren, standing behind him with his usual confident smirk, and Ronan, kneeling beside his chair with an expression so vulnerable it almost hurt to look at.
What could he say? There wasn’t an easy answer to give, and every word felt like it would slice through the fragile tension in the room. He took a slow breath, trying to collect his thoughts, but the truth remained elusive. It wasn’t that he didn’t know what he wanted—he knew perfectly well. But saying it out loud was another thing entirely.
Riven swallowed, his lips parting to speak, but the words refused to come. Soren’s gaze never wavered, intense and possessive, while Ronan’s face remained etched with a desperation that made Riven’s heart ache.
Ronan took a hesitant step closer, dropping to one knee and looking up at him with those striking blue eyes that were so full of remorse. "Riven... I-I know that you’re still disappointed in me—"
"Just stop," Riven cut him off, his voice sharper than intended. Ronan froze, and Riven softened his tone, taking a moment to steady himself. "Let me talk first."
He glanced at Soren briefly, who seemed mildly surprised at Riven’s sudden assertiveness but made no move to interrupt. Then, he looked back at Ronan and exhaled slowly. "I don’t know how this works. I didn’t exactly prepare for... This." He motioned between the three of them, his hand trembling slightly. "It’s not a common situation one prepares for."
Soren scoffed lightly, folding his arms tighter against his chest. "You’re right about that," he muttered under his breath, though his tone wasn’t as biting as usual. The man he loved had a fated mate, and as much as his instinct told him to kill his rival, he could not.
As that would destroy a part of Riven.
Riven chose to ignore him, focusing on Ronan, who hadn’t moved from his position on the floor. "It’s true that you broke my heart," Riven admitted, and he saw the way Ronan’s shoulders slumped at those words. "You hurt me more than I thought possible... But I believe that you will make it up to me."
Ronan opened his mouth to speak, but Riven held up a hand to silence him. "But... It’s also true that I like Soren now. And that’s not something that’s just going to go away."
Soren’s smirk widened, but Riven shot him a glare, which made him instantly dial it back. Riven shifted in his seat, feeling the weight of his words settle over the room. "At the same time, I can’t deny that you and I are mates, Ronan. That’s a bond that’s... Will always keep us connected." freёwebnoѵel.com
He looked down at his hands, knotting his fingers together. "So, I guess what I’m trying to say is that we’re a throuple. I refuse to leave Soren, and I cannot leave you. That’s where we stand."
The room fell into silence, the words lingering in the air like an unspoken promise. Ronan’s lips parted in shock, his eyes wide and uncertain, while Soren’s gaze hardened, his possessiveness flaring up instantly.
"A throuple?" Soren echoed, almost disbelieving. He straightened up, his smirk slipping into something far darker. "You’re telling me I have to share you with him?"
Riven looked at him sharply. "It’s not about you sharing me. It’s about the fact that I won’t give up either of you. I can’t! And you know my circumstances."
Soren clenched his jaw, biting back a retort. It was true—he had known. And despite his pride telling him to claim Riven for himself, he couldn’t bring himself to sever that mated bond completely by killing Ronan, not when it would hurt his little wolf.
Ronan, on the other hand, seemed to finally find his voice. "I... I never wanted to force you to choose," he whispered, guilt saturating his tone. "I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness, but if this is the only way I can be with you... then I’ll accept it."
Riven’s shoulders relaxed at his words, but Soren’s glare intensified. "Just because he’s willing to share doesn’t mean I am," he hissed, stepping forward until he was looming over Ronan. "I don’t like it. You’re lucky I don’t throw you out and keep Riven to myself."
Ronan stood up slowly, squaring his shoulders. "If that’s what Riven wants, then you have no say in it."
Soren’s hand twitched as if itching to lash out, but he restrained himself, his eyes blazing with frustration. Riven stepped between them before things could escalate, pressing a hand to Soren’s chest to calm him down. "Enough. I get that it is unfair. But right now, I refuse to choose. And I quite literally cannot choose."
He turned fully towards Soren and spoke, "You know that if I am away from Ronan for too long or if something happens to him, it would physically take a severe toll on me... It could be life threatening. So I cannot leave Ronan. And..." Riven slowly took Soren’s hand, "I will not leave you."
Ronan felt like a third wheel. He could bear to watch the scene in front of him. He just turned around and focused on breathing. This was the only way to have Riven, so he would deal with it. That was all that he could do.
Soren’s gaze softened as he looked down at him, but the tension didn’t leave his body. "You really expect me to play nice with him?"
"Yes," Riven replied firmly. "It’s already a tense situation, I don’t need you two fighting to stress me out! I will... Run away again if you do!"
"I dare you to try escaping my grasp, little wolf." Soren pulled Riven closer. He spoke slowly and seriously. One hand was on the back of his hand and the other placed right below Riven’s tail, making him blush.
