Heaven Refining physique-Chapter 153: Invisible to Eyes
Chapter 153: Invisible to Eyes
After they had released the paintings of Jiang Hao, it was a given that someone would have seen Jiang Hao. Given his looks, there was a good chance that others wouldn’t forget easily after looking at him once.
Yao Ying didn’t go as far as to find who it was, there was no need for that. She wasn’t going to take any kind of action against them anyway. Unless someone attacked this village, she wouldn’t even care.
Suddenly, she looked towards the direction where the city was. She could clearly see it from here too. Forget about the city, she could see inside the establishments here. It was like nothing could stop her eyes; she could pry into the mysteries of this world without any obstruction.
Many cultivators were flying above the border city, with two being at the centre, discussing their next action.
They were none other than the two leaders of the Azure Sky Sect and Ethereal Cloud Sanctuary for this mission, Ze Yu and Bo Wen. Both were in Mid stage of Heavenly King Realm.
"So what do you think we should do? Jiang Hao’s first appearance here does point out the fact that he might belong to nearby villages, but it might be just speculation too, right?"
Bo Wen spoke.
"Hardly. This guy appeared out of nowhere. After so many days, we still haven’t heard of any clan or family who is related to him. If he was really from any of these clans or families, then it would be hard to hide his identity.
So there is only one conclusion, he belongs to one of the villages nearby. Also, there is no reason for him to appear here if he was from another region or some distant village. I heard that he wasn’t wearing any mask, so that means he wasn’t hiding his identity. freeweɓnøvel.com
So there is no doubt that we are right in our conclusion.
But yes, we can’t totally ignore that he really isn’t part of some distant area, but the chances are low."
Ze Yu explained in detail what he thought.
Bo Wen nodded and said,
"So what should we do? Go to all these villages and ask about him?"
"I don’t think that’s a problem. We have to find his relatives. If we are able to find some leverage against him, then this mission can become far easier."
"Very well, let’s search every village nearby."
Bo Wen nodded and agreed.
"Listen, everyone, visit every single village and try to find any information regarding Jiang Hao."
All the cultivators near them were in the early stage of the Heavenly King Realm. Most, if not all, Void Reversion Realm cultivators had gone to the Inheritance Site in hope of breaking through to Heavenly King realm.
Although it isn’t guaranteed that they would break through, even if ten percent of them succeed, then they would have many more Heavenly King Realm cultivators for this mission. This would increase their chances of success because they had planned to invade the Forbidden Zone this time, if they failed to kill Jiang Hao and Ming Yue in inheritance site.
When all the cultivators heard Ze Yu, they nodded and flew in different directions to find villages scattered around the city.
Yao Ying heard and saw everything. Given the speed of Heavenly King Realm cultivators, this village wasn’t far, and there was one who was moving in this direction.
She sighed and waved her hand in the direction of the village. Immediately, it got covered in a mist. The mist disappeared after two breaths, and the village was gone from everyone’s view.
The fox was shocked to the core. She had been given the responsibility to protect the mother of her master.
She was willing to give her life for it, but in front of her eyes, the whole village was gone.
It was her failure. What would she say to her master?
"Kyuuuuuu!"
She bared her fangs at the woman and dashed towards her.
She was shaking inwardly. She knew it wouldn’t change anything. Not to mention, the only outcome would be her death. But she was willing to accept it after her failure. She just hoped that her child would be forgiven.
Yao Ying didn’t look towards the fox, which had already arrived near her and was biting towards her head.
But just as the fox’s mouth was about to reach close to her, the whole fox was stopped. In fact, it was in a floating posture. It looked like the fox was held by an invisible force which didn’t allow her to move or fall to the ground.
The fox was terrified. She had never felt something like this. It was like the air around her had immobilised her.
The most terrifying thing was that this woman hadn’t moved or made any action, but she was immobilised nonetheless. Now she understood why she had felt that the woman was dangerous.
Her level was strong enough to kill her with mere thoughts if she wanted to.
Just as she was thinking about what would happen next, she saw a cultivator flying above them. He went away without noticing them. They were quite open on the mountain, so it was impossible for that person to not see them.
That person definitely wasn’t weak, given his flying speed, but even then he didn’t stop. Maybe he had seen them but didn’t stop because he didn’t want to involve himself.
Whatever it was, it wouldn’t matter now. The village and woman she was supposed to protect were gone. Her death was imminent. She could only hope her child survived somehow.
Just as she was thinking all this, she felt the invisible chains holding her loosen, and she fell to the ground.
Since she wasn’t paying attention, she fell in an awkward way. Her whole limbs were sprawled, and her stomach was touching the ground. When she tried to stand up, a finger pressed her head.
She got stunned and thought this was it, but instead of feeling any pain, she heard a melodious voice.
"Aren’t you quite courageous? Seriously, what were you thinking? Attacking me wasn’t the solution anyway.
Maybe that blood contract rubbed you the wrong way. Look there."
Yao Ying said while pointing towards the village.
When the fox looked over there, this time there was a unique shine in her eyes, and because of this she was able to see the whole village still present there.
She was stunned and didn’t know what to make of it.
"From now on, this village will be invisible to anyone who doesn’t belong to it, and this will stay like this unless I remove it. You should do what you were told to do as usual.
Don’t worry, I have no intentions to harm anyone. And also, don’t give up your life like it is worthless. There is nothing wrong with backing off when your opponent is too strong. I doubt your master wanted you to act against those whom you can’t deal with anyway."
Yao Ying said while rubbing the head of the fox.
The fox was surprised. This was totally opposite to what she had thought before.
But there was one thing concerning, why was this woman so sure that she had a master? She definitely hadn’t shown the mark of the blood contract to her.
Did this woman know her master? She couldn’t verify it.
Anyway, this woman was too strong to fool her like that, so maybe what she was saying wasn’t false either. If that was the case, then this village would be protected from many things without her doing anything.
Wait a second, this was the first time this woman had come here, and after she made the village invisible, another cultivator passed above them. Are both of these related? The chances are high, because this was the first time anyone appeared near this village.
"Very well, take care. I will be going now."
Yao Ying patted her head one last time and disappeared.
The fox looked around to see if she was still nearby but didn’t find her. It looked like she really went away.
She stood up and made her way to the village. She wanted to check on the mother of her master. If she was fine, then everything was fine.
.....
Jiang Hao was totally unaware that a single mistake of him not wearing a mask during his first visit had put his mother in danger.
It was quite normal though. Nothing was foolproof in this treacherous world.
After travelling for a while, Jiang Hao and Ming Yue arrived at the other side of the mountain. They could already see the barrier which divided both regions.
It was light yellow in colour. Crossing it wasn’t a problem, as it only stopped those cultivators who would cross on the first day, not right now.
They immediately crossed. There wasn’t much difference in the environment. The core region was nothing but a single mountain surrounded by forest, so no matter which region they went to, only forest would be visible.
"So what should we do, junior brother? Should we prepare a trap like before in this main city? But I doubt it will work."
Jiang Hao nodded.
"There is no need for that, senior sister. We should just go through all the cities. Certainly, they would come out to greet us, right? After all, how can they leave two traitors to roam free in front of their eyes? They had announced themselves that they would do everything to hunt us.
Wouldn’t it be a stain on their image if we stood outside any city and they didn’t come out to deliver their so-called justice?
Can they afford to not face two newly advanced cultivators in the early stage of the Soul Sea Realm, while they are in the peak stage of the Soul Sea Realm?"
