He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 598: (Edited). Bait taken
On hearing the revered ancestor’s words, Myrion was extremely shocked.
A myriad of emotions washed over him.
He was about to pay obeisance to the revered ancestor he could not see, when the voice of the ancestor resounded again.
"There’s no need to waste time thanking me. You are my descendant, naturally can’t turn a blind eye to what those kids are doing. Send a message that someone with the courtesy coin requests an audience with the imperial court, and head to the imperial Palace after that."
"Yes, revered ancestor," Myrion replied.
With the courtesy coin included in the announcement, every of the princesses, princesses and their factions would cease their attacks on each other and head to the imperial Palace.
This was how influential a courtesy coin was.
At this moment, Myrion sent a thought transmission to all his sons and daughters in the imperial sector.
Everyone scoffed initially when they heard the voice of their father.
One of those messages that they should stop their fights against each other again? Were they just supposed to sit back and let others gain what they desired. Also, had they not made too many sacrifices at this point to stop?
They thought.
However, the moment the courtesy coin was mentioned, everyone was shocked?
Had their father managed to find someone with a courtesy coin?
Courtesy coins were illustrations of history right?
Did they still exist?
But wait...
There was no way anyone would dare lie about a guest with the courtesy coin.
Especially not their father.
What was he cooking?
Wait... was this person he had found extremely powerful?
Someone with a courtesy coin... they knew what that meant. The person was powerful enough to have performed some meritorious deed. Even if they weren’t powerful enough, they had the courtesy coin... that one time permanent request...
That could change everything...
Gritted teeth, clenched fists, coldness flickering through eyes.
Sighs followed.
Fuck the old man.
But there was nothing they could do.
They could only hope that the courtesy coin bearer had a different agenda in mind.
Not what they were thinking.
Else, all they had tried to do would be for naught.
Although the first princess was now dead, no one had managed to secure the throne. At the end of the day, only one of them and their factions would be left standing at the top of the food chain of the imperial court.
Not now... not when they were close to their goal.
Each of them thought, as they flocked the imperial Estate, spanning a star system with cold and anxious expressions.
Very soon, they arrived at the location with their factions.
A grand hall.
Standing in the hall was a familiar figure.
Their father.
"Father, what is the meaning of this?" One said dismissively, a clear indication that the emperor held no respect in their heart.
"Was this some sort of joke to get us together to try and talk us out of this political chess game?" Another bellowed.
Everyone in the hall thought the same thing.
Where was the bearer of the courtesy coin.
Had their fears been for nothing?
Was it just this weak old man all along, trying to use his sagely nonsense to talk them out of their quest for power again?
Suddenly, an ethereal voice boomed across the hall.
It was a sigh. An ancient tired sigh.
"Seriously. Kids these days have no regard for their elders."
The voice did not belong to their father.
No presence. No sign of anyone apart from the old man in the hall.
This must be the senior with the courtesy coin. Several in the hall were at the rank 7 intermediate stage universe level.
If they could not discern the presence of the person, then he was the senior.
Wait... their worst fear...
Before their thoughts landed, a coin suddenly appeared out of thin air.
They recognized the coin, at least those of them who took history lessons did.
The courtesy coin. So it was true...
"I invoke a permanent request as your ancestor. Stop this nonsense at once, else, I will erase all of you myself" the voice laced with extreme coldness, warmth and authority.
Naturally, some mysterious old fellow they could not see, blabbering nonsensities would not have been enough to convince them. But the courtesy coin was an artifact of history, lost to the current time. Only an ancestor who had contributed greatly to the Noah Civilisation or any of the machine race Civilisations in the universe could carry something like this around.
This altered their perception that the reason why they could not see the mysterious person was because he was a supreme stage universe level powerhouse ancestor who was probably somewhere in the universe observing everything and deemed them unworthy of his presence. Coupled with his words, that if they did not stop this civil war, he would kill them all himself, it reinforced the ideology that he was a powerful senior who was not joking around.
Kailen had chosen his words well, and planned everything meticulously.
It seemed these fellows had taken the bait.
The sons and daughters of the emperor, and their factions sighed defeatedly.
What they feared the worst had come to pass.
The emperor had not spoken since the confrontation of his sons and daughters began, up till now. Was he supposed to say anything when the ancestor was here?
He glanced at his sons and daughters with a tired expression.
All of them grimaced reluctantly, then bowed.
They didn’t have to be told what would happen to them if they went against the permanent request of a courtesy coin holder. The traditions of the machine race would be enough to end them if they resisted.
Also, this mysterious ancestor was more powerful than any of them could ever be. And he was observing the Noah Civilisation. He could kill any of them with a thought if they tried to oppose him.
This was no longer about their quest for power. It was about disrespecting the traditions of their race, and the mysterious senior.
"We humbly heed to the permanent request of the revered ancestor." Faction heads and members bowed at the same time as their voices echoed in the Grand hall.
"Very good. Now, let’s finalize my permanent request. Time to choose a new emperor"
