He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 529. Academy rules
The emblem of Asura hovered before Kailen.
It had some eerie runic engravings on it.
Kailen sent it to his storage ring.
"I already have the courtesy coin. The courtesy coin would allow me to get preferential treatment among the machine race, and the emblem of the Asura will let me get preferential treatment when I visit an Asura Society," Kailen mused. "These two items may be very useful in the future."
Kailen said yes to assimilate with the comprehensive knowledge of runesmithery level 4 and comprehensive knowledge of alchemy level 4.
A glint of experience and a sage-like aura flashed through his eyes.
His expertise on alchemy and runesmithery grew more profound.
"Golden finger, how many days left till I leave the pocket world?" Kailen asked the Time Dilation Artifact.
The Time Dilation Artifact appeared lazily.
She was clad in some sort of beach wear, and she holding some sort of beatbox.
The beat box was banging some hip hop music.
Kailen didn’t even know what to say.
The sight was extremely comical.
The time dilation artifact’s figure flashed.
"Who are you laughing at?" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
After she muttered these words, she kicked Kailen in the butt.
Kailen was hurtled into the air, questioning his life choices.
The next thing he realized was that he was back in the room in the spaceship.
He checked the time, and he had been gone for exactly 200 hours.
He had spent about 7 months in the simulation time.
This 7 month period had been compressed into the 200 days time period he could generally spend in the pocket world.
The moment he finished the simulation, she kicked him out of the pocket world.
"But this simulation was very beneficial. I’ve gotten a practical orientation on the power system of the mid tier civilisation."
Just when Kailen was in his musings, someone knocked on his door.
"What’s this dwarf doing here?" Kailen muttered.
"Friend, I’ve been tasked to orient you about some things in the academy before we arrive. Can I have a few moments?" The dwarf was very polite.
"Alright," Kailen replied.
"Alright, let’s meet in the lounge in a few."
"Noted."
****
Currently, the duo were seated in the lounge of the spaceship.
The place was very relaxing.
The dwarf noticed that the fellow seemed more different than before. This new student gave off this mysterious vibe. He had it before but it was like it was more profound now. What did this guy do during these few days?
He didn’t know much about this student. But this guy, he was dangerous.
The Dwarf minded his business and went straight to the point.
"The Dao Enlightenment Academy has seven societies. The societies include, the combat society, the alchemy society, the runesmith society, the Black Smith society, the healers society, and the miners’ society."
Kailen nodded in understanding.
"The combat society is a general society that all students are a part of.
Also, note that in the academy, there is nothing like first year student or second year student, third year student and those things. But everyone understands the hidden hierarchy. The strong rule, the weak are trampled on. No one will intervene if a stronger person bullies you. Not even your own mentor, if you have one. Students are supposed to handle students on their own, and mentors cannot intervene. The mentors are made to sign a runic oath to ensure that this iron clad rule is not broken.
The requirement for graduation is to get to the rank 1 supreme stage dao level, that’s if you manage to survive long enough under academy tutelage for that to happen.
The secondary Carrier societies are basically societies for sharpening the skills of awakeners who also have secondary Carrier professions. It is not compulsory to join these societies. But joining the combat society is a must.
There are academy combat ranking battles that occur every month. Anyone can replace even the person with the highest rank as long as they are strong enough. Oh, and killing an opponent in the rankings battles are allowed.
Those with higher rankings will have the tutelage of extremely gifted mentors to give them directions concerning their law usage.
Of course, there are also secondary Carrier ranking battles that all secondary Carrier awakeners are also supposed to take part in.
Those in the Secondary Carrier professions will take part in the combat rankings battles and the secondary Carrier ranking battles as well.
Every student receives a mission every two weeks. You do not select your mission. The academy will choose the mission for you. You cannot say no to a mission. If you say no to a mission, you will be crippled, and kicked out of the academy. Also, the only time you are permitted to leave the academy galaxy is when you have been given a mission.
Sometimes you’ll be part of a squad during a mission and sometimes you’ll operate alone. The mission rewards will be given in the form of resources to enhance your cultivation. The resources could range from runic artifacts and weapons, to alchemical products amongst others. You can also purchase anything in the academy from academy stores as long as you have the necessary amount of Universe Coins. Secondary Carrier students can also make products and sell them to academy stores for Universe Coins."
Kailen realized that the academy environment was really ruthless.
No wonder all who were able to survive and graduate became extremely terrifying.
It was literally a place for sharpening the elite of the elite.
To the point that even though those who managed to enroll were already the best of the best, the academy system still managed to sieve them.
"Thanks. If I may ask, how are the secondary Carrier duels organized?" Kailen asked.
"Oh, you just have to dominate your opponent of the same profession in the ranking battle. In fact, there are even instances where certain secondary Carrier professionals use spiritual power and even law attacks to attack one another. Just recently, it occurred during an alchemy ranking battle. One alchemist used spiritual power to kill another alchemist. The person who was killed was in the process of refining an alchemical product. The one who killed the other fellow won the ranking battle, since the other party was not alive to finish crafting their alchemical product."
A glint flashed through Kailen’s eyes.
The academy system is really ruthless.
Even during secondary Carrier ranking battles, killing was allowed.
Also, joining the combat society was compulsory even if you were interested in a secondary Carrier.
Those who joined the secondary Carrier societies still had to participate in the monthly combat sessions of the academy.
That way, those who had secondary Carrier professions would not just focus on the secondary Carrier professions, but they would work on improving their strength combat wise in addition.
This Dao Enlightenment Academy exercised the survival of the fittest law of the universe perfectly.
It seems the academy would be very interesting.
A glint of coldness flashed through Kailen’s eyes.
"Thank you," Kailen nodded politely to the dwarf.
"Just completing my mission. Nothing personal," the dwarf replied.
Kailen nodded.
Turns out bringing Kailen into the academy was a mission the dwarf had received from the academy.
After that, Kailen stood up and left.
"To think the reward for bringing him back would be a hundred universe coins. This fellow is really valued by the academy. As expected of someone who enrolled with a special slot," the dwarf mused inwardly.
After that, he left the lounge, heading towards the room to cultivate.
