Chapter 528: Chapter 528. Unseen Asura

Kailen’s figure flashed quickly. He used teleportation runes to flash towards the region where the beginner stage Dao level lifeforms were crowded and duking it out on the battlefield.

He didn’t use the law of space for this because he didn’t want to even entertain the slightest chance of drawing attention to himself.

When Kailen got there, he instructed all his shadow creatures to make invisibility runes to hide their presence. He instructed them to come out of the shadow expanse.

When the shadow creatures appeared in the region, they were already invisible to the beginner stage Dao level lifeforms, just like Kailen was invisible to them.

Battles between Asuras and Giants raged in cataclysmic proportions. Law attacks clashed endlessly. Lethal attacks claimed lives of both giants and Asuras alike.

No one noticed Kailen, or the presence of his shadow creatures.

"Use spiritual power to slaughter as many giants as you can. Don’t use your respective laws or rune attacks. We can’t risk drawing the slightest form of attention. Our advantage is our invisibility."

Kailen sent a thought transmission to them. The best attack pattern was the use of spiritual power. It was completely unseen, only visible in the consciousness of the enemy attacked with it.

"Yes, Lord," the shadow creatures replied.

Kailen attacked, his form completely shrouded from sight. His spiritual power spread outwards, targeting several beginner stage Dao level giants at the same time. The last thing several of them saw were ethereal swords appearing in their consciousness. The swords pierced through their consciousness and brought them unimaginable pain, erasing their consciousness from existence.

After that, they fell down and died. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

At the same time, the shadow creatures were also doing the same thing.

In mere moments, several beginner stage Dao level giants were dead. There were no wounds on their bodies. Just lifeless and pained expressions in their eyes. From a look, one could imagine the kind of terror they experienced before they died.

But who was behind these attacks?

What the hell was going on?

What sort of terrifying person had the Asuras unleashed on the battlefield? And where the hell were they?

The person could not be seen. Perceptions spread across the area in an attempt to locate the said person, but nothing was visible.

No trace of aura, law, awakener level, or presence.

This rung several alarms in the area. Several Giants started panicking as the unseen fellow was claiming their lives effortlessly without revealing himself.

The Asuras, however, had their morale boosted.

They fought relentlessly and ruthlessly, overpowering Giants with their various laws and deciding on using ruthless torture methods—spilling innards, dismembering bodies, crashing heads to finally finish them, as they had sadistic grins on their faces.

The Asuras could be really crazy fellows when messed with.

Kailen observed everything happening. He mused to himself, "No wonder using the Asura Enlightenment Physique always made me fanatic and barbaric. I will really miss using it, sigh"

Kailen continued the slaughter for an extremely long time. He couldn’t even count how long it had been—weeks? Months?

He was patient, hidden, calm, and hunting.

However, more of the beginner stage Dao level giants remained. The Giants were really numerous.

The effect of his actions, however, on this particular area, was completely visible.

The Giants in this region of the battlefield were terrified. Not only that, they did not even know how strong the unseen predator was. The enemy was a master at hiding in plain sight. They could not devise any strategies to retaliate against this opponent since they could find no trace of them, and didn’t know anything about the enemy. This was the most terrifying enemy some of them had ever encountered.

Several of the Giant commanders tried asking for reinforcements, but no response came because all hands were occupied. They were on their own.

"Where the hell is this Unseen Asura?"

"Damn it, if this fellow keeps doing this, we are all gonna die!"

"Hehehe. You fuckers invaded our lands and now you are scared shitless because of the invisible senior hunting you like prey? Die for me!"

"Kill the Giant motherfuckers!"

"We can’t let the work of senior Unseen Asura be in vain. Asuras kill!!!!!!"

The Unseen Asura—that’s what they called Kailen now. The idea was that he was some sort of terrifying Asura senior who preferred keeping a low profile, did not want to reveal himself, and wanted to just enjoy the thrill of hunting the Giants like prey.

At this moment, several spaceships loomed across the expanse.

Several Titans started emerging out of the spaceships.

The moment they emerged, several laws brimmed around their figures. They crashed into several Giants, and more cataclysmic battles continued across the whole battlefield.

"Finally, reinforcements are here!"

"Thank you for coming, Titan brothers and sisters!"

"We are doing this for ourselves, not for you Asuras. These cocky guys stabbed us in the back too. We saw an opportunity for revenge."

"Kill!"

"Kill them, bastard Giant motherfuckers!"

"Retreat! Shit!"

"Where the hell do you fuckers think you are going?"

"Please don’t kill m—arrggggh!"

Screams reverberated across not just this region where beginner stage Dao level lifeforms were, but across the whole battlefield.

Kailen couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief as he observed everything.

He also kept killing the Giants from the shadows like he had been doing.

"Giants, on my fucking command, crush your teleportation artifacts and retreat! Those of you who do not have any escape means, sorry to leave you behind!" an extremely authoritative voice of a giant raged across the battlefield.

The voice seemed extremely strained. It was the voice of a powerhouse injured and standing on their last legs.

"Asuras, don’t pursue. This is our victory!" Another voice boomed across the battlefield. It was the voice of the chief commander of the Asuras. His voice also seemed strained. It looked like he had fought to a stalemate with the Giant chief commander, many, including Kailen, thought.

The two powerhouses had weighed the outcome, and the Giants had decided to retreat strategically in defeat. The Asura Commander did not pursue because he did not want to risk injuring himself further, which would have been a risk for the hard-earned victory of the Asuras.

As the Giants retreated, the Asuras did not cheer. Instead, they seemed melancholic.

They had lost many comrades. This was a victory, but it came at a great cost.

"I survived. I suppose the simulation should be coming to an end," Kailen sighed.

The moment Kailen spoke, everything and everyone on the battlefield disappeared. The battlefield itself disappeared. Kailen found himself standing in a grassy plain in the pocketworld.

The time Dilation Artifact didn’t appear this time. Kailen checked the shadow expanse.

She was currently having a beach party with the shadow creatures?

Kailen shook his head in amusement.

A holographic screen rather, appeared before him.
