He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 508
Everyone Kailen was close with, even Old Ha, was currently seated in a spaceship headed for the Arman Empire.
" So, how did the president of the Alchemy Association of the Astral Empire manage to leave his post at a time like this? How did they even allow you to leave?"
Old Ha shrugged at Jackson’s words. He blurted out in calm shamelessness. " I simply told them I’m going into seclusion for a while."
" Smart one old man," Charles said. This old fellow was really thick skinned. He would really get along with this old bastard.
" Thanks, kid," Old Ha smirked. "Finally, someone who can give this old man the credit he deserves."
Everyone "...."
" What the hell, old man?"
" What does that even mean?"
" Oh my God, I can’t stop laughing. This old fellow can really say a lot of nonsense, I tell you."
" Hehe. Why is Kailen so quiet?"
" I am not quiet. I’m just trying to make sense of what Old Ha just said. And he goes around calling me his grand disciple."
" Damn, I’m still here, okay. Respect your elders."
" Tsk, elders my foot."
" Who the fuck said that?"
" It’s me. What are you going to do to a little girl, beat me up?"
" Phila, you should pay more attention to your daughter."
" I usually do, Old Ha, but in this case, I think I might buy her an ice cream to urge her on."
" Damn, what a roast."
" Sigh... kids these days."
" Phila seems quiet, but she can be really sharp tongued."
" I tell you, and this Kim. She’s hiding behind Reynolds, but she’s actually laughing to the point of tears falling from her eyes."
"Heh. The quiet ones are the most troublesome ones when you get to know them."
" Why do I feel like this is directed towards me?"
" Took the words right out of my mouth."
" Yeah, what the fuck?"
" Don’t tread on dreadful waters."
" Yeah, we were all roasting the old man. Why are you on our necks?"
" No one mentioned your name, Angela, Lee, Lian Yu, Arnold, and Phoebe."
" Tsk, whatever. Do you think we are naive?"
The banter continued for a while. The environment in the spaceship was very lively at the moment.
Very soon, they arrived at the Arman Empire.
The spaceship passed through several teleportation gates. It crossed several deserts, sands, landscapes sprawling with different beasts, mountains, and sectors of the Empire.
During this time, the group noticed a lot of people riding various beasts and floating across various places. Some of the people were non awakeners who would have been limited to life on their home planets, using only the virtual universe as a means of relating with the vast universe. But, thanks to Helena’s nanoserums, that was a thing of the past. Also, everyone knew what was accountable for the beasts they were riding on.
" Now, everyone in the low tier civilisations know you, mum. I could not have been more proud," everyone nodded at Arrie’s words.
The group realised the influence of what Helena had done. Everyone looked at her with admiration. Especially the earthlings. She was a genius researcher indeed. She had really shown brightly under the right atmosphere and with the right resources.
" Oh please, you are making me blush with those looks. Besides, the wands was mainly Kailen’s idea, and he played an extremely important role in making them."
" Tsk. This guy is like some power fantasy novel protagonist. As for the wands, we know he played a role, but ..."
" Most of the credit goes to you, Helena. Don’t downplay your achievements," Kailen nodded.
It was Helena who had advanced the wand technology without him. She deserved the credit. In his opinion, she shouldn’t even have mentioned his name when she made it known to the low tier civilizations. As for the nanoserums, no one even had to argue with the fact that she was the sole mind behind it. All the other researchers that supported her had testified to it. Initially, they planned on making battlesuits, but Helena evolved the idea into one that would bring better results, the nano serums.
Everyone nodded.
" No doubt."
" That’s true."
" Thanks, everyone."
The group conversed about different things for a while as they were in the spaceship.
" These vimodial contractors are really not leaving any stone unturned. One planetary sector of the Uzumaki Empire has just been invaded," Donalds sighed as he spoke.
Everyone suddenly received different notifications from various virtual universe streaming sites. They watched the videos. It was terrible. The planetary sector was completely overwhelmed by the enemy.
Everyone sighed. Turns out the Astral Empire attack was just the beginning. The enemy was going all out against the other empires.
" Actually, the Arman just lost a solar system. Mum just informed me. These bastards are really going all out," Lawrence added.
He proceeded, " Several operatives and citizens in these solar systems have been captured by the enemy. Some of them have become enemy livestock for feeding, and captured higher ups have been tortured for intelligence against the empire. Some have also been turned into vimodial contractors."
" The dangerous thing about these guys is anytime they feed, they get stronger. Any region they conquer is an avenue to feed on the lifeforce of war prisoners, to grow stronger," Reynolds said.
Everyone nodded.
It was true.
" Father once said that Grandmaster Concima told him something terrifying. These vimodial contractors don’t just capture enemies and feed on them. They keep many alive without turning them into vimodial contractors," Arnold said.
Zarek’s mother, Starlight Atrexia, added in realization before he could continue, " They keep them alive for breeding purposes. It’s like how we breed livestock and animals for food. The more the animal production, the more the food. It’s the same principle."
She continued. This was the first time she had spoken. Aside from her warm personality, she didn’t really talk much. " I came across one of the breeding reserves, one of their bases accidentally, during my seclusion. It was during when I ventured across several places for battle experience. It was horrible. Naturally, I secretly fled the place. Those guarding these places were too powerful for me to handle. That was not the time to play hero."
Everyone sighed deeply. Of course, if the Vimodials and their contractors didn’t feed, how would they survive?
They didn’t just want to take over the universe. They wanted to make every other living being a source of livestock for them to feed on and grow stronger. Their survival was hinged on the fact that every race in the universe became their food. And to do that, they had to bring every race to their knees.
Kailen sighed deeply as he was in thought. He always knew this. But it was as if it was now more clearer to him.
Him and his loved ones, livestock?
A glint of ruthlessness flashed through his eyes. He had to become overwhelmingly powerful. That could not happen.
Several had similar thoughts. The spaceship was silent after that conversation.
Finally, they arrived at a particular star system. Several sectors of the star system were full of sands and deserts. But there were still bustling metropolises built across these places.
The Arman Empire literally deserved the name, the empire of sands and sands. There was literally sand and deserts at most places.
The spaceship landed at a docking point in one of the sectors. Everyone had donned different appearances by drinking Kailen’s face morphing elixirs. They didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention, especially with some famous fellows among them.
The group went towards a particular individual dressed in an elegant dress. She was exuding a very mature and feminine aura. The woman was currently wearing a different face from what Lawrence usually knew.
She didn’t say anything. She just nodded to everyone, and they nodded back.
It seemed only Lawrence knew who this woman was, everyone thought. But she seemed very strong, even from her demeanor alone.
A very large beast appeared. The beast looked like some sort of blue bison. The beast wagged its colossal tail and let out a soft wail.
Soft gusts of wind blew everywhere as a result of that.
The woman gestured for everyone to get on the bison. She was acting very secretive for some unknown reason, rather than being rude by not saying anything to them.
Curious, everyone got on the colossal bison. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
The woman naturally held a beast controlling wand in her hand as she rode the bison.
The bison went through several teleportation gates, shortening distances that would have taken a long time to cross, crossing one sector after another.
The group was noticing several changes in their environment during the trip. The environment after passing through each teleportation gate kept becoming more aesthetic and high class. It was apparent they were getting to regions where more influential people in the Arman Empire lived with each teleportation.
Very soon, the group approached a teleportation gate heavily guarded by a couple of guards. The guards were radiating grim and sharp auras.
" Who goes there?" one guard asked.
The moment the bison appeared there, the woman’s face morphed into that of a different person.
" Ah," shocked, the guards bowed. " We greet her royal empress."
