Chapter 90: Talk of The Town [The Blonde Haired Young Man]: Part Three

"Hah! Maaaaan! That was intense! Why the hell did Peyton tell Melissa that I can regenerate!?" I scream alone as I lay down on the empty Training Room’s arena surface. Flashbacks of my entire arm getting cut off by a she-beast with a nonchalant gaze as if cutting some meat to cook later on, invading my brain in no kind manner whatsoever. "That’s the last time I’m telling her to not hold back on me. Jeez!" I exclaim. "Well, they’re gone now, since they’re not living here like yours truly, so I’ll be free from their bullying for a few hours, at least." I sigh. "Man, I’ve had quite the day, haven’t I?" I laugh lazily as I sit up straight. "It’s time I take a breather from all this shit. And there’s no better place for the Blacksmith to do that than in his Sanctuary... Enter Item Space!" I command with renewed vigor as my body pixelates and disappears.

My view of the world changes, from the empty Training Room to a beautiful bountiful Island. Specifically, a great and beautiful beach, The Emerald Beach.

"Wait a minute, now that I think about it... I never got to naming this Island did I?"

"Nope, Master, I don’t believe you have." A soft sensation invades my back. I don’t need to look to know who it is. It’s Dawn, using me to get a free piggy back ride.

"Alright then... from now on, this Island shall henceforth be called Hayzar!" I roar as if a king making some sort of declaration. The undeniable symptoms of eighth-grader syndrome. But I’ll wear the badge with pride.

"That’s a perfect name Master!" Dawn jumps off my back and starts walking side by side with me. "If he saw this right now, I bet he’d feel honoured." She adds, referring to the Goblin King.

"Yeah, hopefully I’ll get to meet him again some day... He should be stronger since he’s a Spirit now, right?"

"Very strong, actually." Dawn answers me. "So much so that I doubt I’d be able to land a single finger on him, with how strong he should be right now." She adds.

"Seriously?" The revelation certainly does its job in leaving me surprised at the mere thought of it all. This goes without saying, but Dawn is overpowered, way too overpowered. I’d say she’s about as strong as Peyton, if not even stronger. The thought of Hayzar being stronger than her, from simply dying is insane. Well... dying is no simple matter, but still. "So even though you’re a Native Spirit who’s also a Candidate, it wouldn’t amount to much?" I ask.

"It would if I lived in the Spirit World." Dawn quickly replies. "The closer we are to our rightful home, the stronger we become. Even staying there for long periods of time constantly increases our power permanently. Some Spirits can even absorb the Mana of the Spirit World and sort of keep it stored so that they can power themselves up even if they’re far away from their respective Spirit Realm."

"I see..." What an incredibly unfair advantage.

For a second, a crazy thought crosses my mind, but I quickly dismiss it.

No. Not ready to die just yet...

"Alright, then. Time to get some things sorted out." I say as I wave my hands out and order; "Open Item Space."

Item Space A-Rank contents:

....

• 16006 D-Rank Mana Crystals, 27168 C-Rank Mana Crystals, 737 B-Rank Mana Crystals, and 1 A-Rank Mana Crystal. Can be sold for currency, used to increase Subject’s Mana Capacity with the Cultivator Skill or used for blacksmithing.

• Harpy Countess’s wings and claws: The wings’ feathers have an energy boost feature and are ten times more durable than the Goblin King Hayzar’s skin. The claws are five times stronger than the Goblin King Hayzar’s spine. All can be used for blacksmithing.

• Wild Goat Lord’s horns and pelt: The horns are twice as strong as the Harpy Countess’s claws. The pelt is three times more durable than the Harpy Countess’s wings. All can be used for blacksmithing.

• Wolf Spirit Amaruq’s claws, canine and pelt: The claws and canine are fifty times stronger than the Wild Goat Lord’s horns. The pelt has an energy boost feature and can form very durable ice around it for protection. Furthermore, on its own, it is precisely one hundred times more durable than the Wild Goat Lord’s own pelt. All can be used for blacksmithing.

• Obsidian Venom Reapers: Two strong sharp daggers made of Poison Steel and Mithril, both in the Last Stage Hyper-Grade. While they cannot be used by the Subject in battle, they can however, be used as materials to craft a new weapon/s.

"I see. So that other metal I couldn’t figure out what it was, was actually Mithril." I say, looking at the holographic list of all the things in my Item Space layed before me. "Mithril’s a pretty strong metal. I don’t know much about it, but I’ve seen interviews and the like, where Warriors talked about how valuable it is. It definitely makes Cold Iron look like plastic in comparison. I also recall hearing about how it’s much more sensitive to Mana than Cold Iron. My guess is that, that property helped in making sure the Poison Steel didn’t lose too much of its own poison property during the making of these daggers." I add.

"You know what that means, then, Master." Dawn casually cuts in.

"Of course." I affirm with a slightly mischievous smirk. "If other people use Mithril to make sure certain minerals with special properties don’t lose too much of those properties, then by that same principle, since I don’t have to worry about making minerals with special properties lose their properties, that means I can actually use Mithril to inhance the special properties in question instead."

"Which means that Auntie Melissa may actually gain a longsword with Gu-Poison on the same level as that of the Twins." Dawn chimes in to add.

"Yeah, that settles it. The sword I’m going to make for Melissa is going to be one hell of a beast." I boast with a proud smile.

"You’re going to make mom jealous, you know?" Says Dawn.

"I told you to stop calling her that, and no I won’t. I actually have something very special planned for Peyton, kekeke." I say with an evil grin.

"This... is kind of worrying me." Dawn says, looking at me like something to avoid at all cost, to the point of even backing away slowly.

I just laugh it off with a sigh and ask; "Ever heard of Adamantium?"

She pauses briefly as I say that. "Master, you can’t be serious..." Then finally speaks.

"Oh, but I am. It’ll take a while but I’m planning to make Peyton’s knives basically indestructible with one of the strongest metals known to man. I’ll either have to explore a very dangerous S-Rank Dungeon, or see if I can get the metal somehow through the infamous Black Market, but it’s definitely going to happen." I rub my hands together, as I let out a quiet evil laugh, grinning from ear to ear. "Kekekekekekeke."

"Please stop laughing like that. What normal human laughs like that?" Dawn pleads with an expression that looks like the mixture of both genuine worry, and even more genuine fear on her face, almost as if her skin is crawling.

"You’re no fun." I say as I wave the holographic list off, making it disappear in pixel form before me.

"You’re not going to start on the weapon right away?" Dawn asks as she observes.

"No." I readily answer. "I want to get started on the smithy I’ve been teasing until now before going back into making any new weapons." I expand. "The real reason we’re here actually is because I wanted to check out just how many Mana Crystals I had and furthermore, I also wanted to finally get a real look into your Avatar info."

"My Avatar info?" Dawn echoes with a face laced with curiosity. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"That’s right." I affirm. "It’ll be crucial I understand the types of powers you have and how we can use them strategically in all the battles still yet to come. Which is essentially more important. As tempting as it is, I don’t think I’ll be absorbing much of those Mana Crystals, if at all any, no matter how much they are... and that’s saying something, ’cause there’s really a lot of them. As of now, I’m... somewhat comfortable with where my Mana Capacity is, so I’ll be using those Mana Crystals to create low level weapons that I can sell to low level Warriors once I have my smithy up and running, instead of undergoing Mana Crystal Absorption." I finish.

"I agree." Dawn nods without the slightest bit of hesitation. "I think that’s essentially the smarter choice, considering the great amount of Cold Iron you have at your arsenal." She adds. "In addition, I think it’s also crucial that you’re not the only Warrior in your world getting stronger. If you provide your fellow Warriors with the weapons that you create, that are obviously going to be better than the ones they’re used to, then you ultimately end up helping them in clearing more Dungeons, whether they know it or not, and whether those are your intentions or not." She says.

"Huh. Never thought of it like that." I admit, shamelessly so at that. "But, yeah, I guess you’re right. That definitely does a lot in instilling my resolve further. Alright then, it’s official!" I yell with renewed vigor. "I’ll be focusing more on making weapons instead of absorbing Mana from now on! Now, then, let’s get a good look at my Avatar slash Spirit’s status window, shall we!?"

"Alright!" Dawn does well to join in on the fun. "Ready when you are, Master!"

"Right. System! Show me my Avatar’s info please!"

I then read through Dawn’s info...

....

"Well, would you look at that. My daughter’s a fucking power house." I praise. While the daughter in question just giggles in response.
