Kailen asked,surprised. Was his office was not supposed to be at the Alchemy Association .

" He calls his bed room his office "

Jackson shook his head with obvious scorn.

Kailen nodded with a puzzled expression.

Non of this made any sense. He just couldn’t wrap his head around it.

However this was non of his business.

As long as he obtained his alchemy badge.

Having crossed a couple of buildings and streets in the large estate, they finally arrived before a large building complex.

[ Welcome back Master ] The moment they arrived before the door, a monotone robotic voice sounded in their ear.

The door opened ,revealing to them the interior of the house.

The view was nothing short of magnificent.

"Usually it takes a day for a badge to be ready. However I personally pulled some strings and made an exception for you" Old Ha stared at Kailen with a smile then proceded "The alchemy badge is not a literal badge"

Old Ha spoke, as a suitcase opened to reveal a small black device with the inscription of a plant and a hand circling around it to Kailen.

Kailen however nodded to the man’s words- who on seeing his attentive demeanor,proceeded.

" Bring your hand closer"

Proceeding as instructed, the alchemy badge divided into minsicules of pins, then started crawling out of the suitcase towards Kailen’s hands.

Finally ,the pins crawled on the back of his hands.

After that, the pins turned into a liquid black substance and sunk into Kailen’s skin.

A black tattoo that looked like the badge suddenly appeared on his right hand.

" With this you are a member of the Universe Alchemists Association" Jackson voiced from the side.

" Now on to the next step. Tap on the tattoo"

Kailen did as he had been instructed.

A holographic screen popped up before him.

" Interesting "

Kailen stared at the contents of the holographic screen.

Various details such as the benefits he could enjoy for being a rank 1 alchemist was displayed before him.

What drew his attention the most and caused his eyes to sparkle gleefully - "300 universe coins would be allocated to me every month as an allowance by the alchemy association because I have serious potential as an alchemist?"

Three hundred universe coins was an extremely large amount of money if converted into the currency of the Astral Empire.

Old Ha nodded " With the talent you’ve displayed, it’s only natural we motivate you with this kind of special treatment"

Kailen nodded,finding it plausible.

Inasmuch as he didn’t expect this kind of special treatment ,it now occured to him that he had probably underestimated the weight of the talent he had displayed.

He read another benefit which stated that he could officially register his home planet including himself as members of the empire in which he registered himself as an alchemist.

This was the most important benefit he was looking for.

Kailen sighed in relief. At least, earth would be safe for a while. It was time to get to work.

Kailen lay sprawled in the arm chair , musing to himself .

" I’ve been able to succesfuly register earth as a planet in the Astral Empire . However that’s just gonna provide short term protection for earthlings,expecially my loved ones. At least , earth is no longer an unclaimed territory that’s free for the taking"

Kailen sighed as a complicated glint flashed through his eyes " At the end of the day, it’s still the law of the jungle wherever you go. It all boils down to strength . The Astral Empire is definitely under the rulership of some mid tier civilisation, which in turn is also under the rulership of a high tier civilisation. At the end of the day, I’m still at the bottom of the food chain in the grand scheme of things. My loved ones and I are not truly safe.I need to become stronger . For instance , if the mid tier civilisation ruling over the Astral Empire suddenly decides to destroy the empire , what can I do?. I’m still too weak"

Kailen’s eyes flashed with determination.

He muttered and sighed" A step at a time"

He stood up ,scanning the large bed room. This bed room was far more luxurious than any bedroom he had on earth.

Old Ha had opted for Kailen to live here because many would not attempt an assassination against him in the house of the branch President of the Alchemy Association in the Astral Empire.

He now had a villa all to himself in Old Ha’s estate.

He even had robots as assistants doing chores such as cleaning,cooking amongst others.

He had opted for robots instead of people as servants. Kailen was the loner type,preferring solitude after all.

" At least I got some plot armor " He chuckled lightly " All this is because I met father’s close friend- Jackson,which in turn led me to the eccentric old man . I should find a way to repay those two in the future . But now I should focus on pressing matters. I need to deal with these noble clans,especially this Harker family. The message they sent me is nothing short of ridiculous"

Killing intent flashed acrossed Kailen’s eyes as he remembered the contents of the message. The others were snobbish and arrogant . But these guys were on another level .

Kailen walked towards the windows of his room, veiwing the mountainous sight that greeted his eyes.

"There’s no way in hell the time Dilation artifact will help me out on this one" Kailen knew her personality very well.

The time Dilation artifact would not spoon-feed him in such a situation. She was extremely black hearted.

Also, Kailen knew he could not rely on even Jackson to solve the current crisis he was facing as Jackson himself was focusing on training at the moment . He had entered into seclusion. Jackson said he would only emerge out of seclusion after he broke into the galactic level.

Personally ,it was also not in Kailen’s nature to place his burdens on Jackson in the first place.

It was not like he felt like he was a burden to the man. He knew that if he remained a sheltered person all the time, hiding behind others , there was no way he could grow into a formadible person.

He had to solve this on his own .

Kailen sighed .

His thoughts churned . His mind raced.

He thought of solutions.

Kailen was lost in thought.

Until finally,the perfect idea flashed like a bolt of lighting in his mind.

The grin on his pale handsome face was extremely ridiculous .

The time dilation artifact observed Kailen - grinning weirdly without even noticing her presence .

The idea this brat had come up with ,was extremely crazy,so absolutely crazy.

" This brat, is a psychopath " She sighed.
