Chapter 164: I want more

"Now, look at me and tell me you don’t want me," Lake challenged.

’I fucking do,’ Avery purred inside Audrey’s head.

Audrey bit her lips, "You should leave," she pushed him off of her, running into the bathroom.

She quickly locked the bathroom door and hugged loudly, placing a hand on her chest.

"Shit," She muttered.

’I know...we’ve got a problem,’ Selena replied in her quiet voice.

’I love it,’ Avery purred once again.

"Fuck this," Audrey groaned and removed the rest of her clothes.

She was about to step into the shower when she suddenly heard Lake’s voice behind her door.

"I’ll be downstairs, Kitten. Don’t be gone for too long," He informed and the sound of her bedroom door being opened and shut was heard.

"I don’t like this, I don’t like this at all," She clenched her fist and walked under the shower.

Downstairs, Leon was sitting in the dining with Isabella and Green; they looked like they were waiting for Audrey and Lake to come down before they ate.

"Oh, hi, Lake, come over and join us; I heard you picked Mikhail from school; we’re very thankful for that," Isabell invited him over with a smile.

The moment Green heard Isabella invite Lake over, she had her head lowered in respect; she knew he was still Audrey’s mate. Even though he might not feel the bond anymore, she would still give him the respect as an Alpha and maybe her boss and leader.

"It’s nothing, Isabella, I just wanted to spend time with the boy," He replied as he walked over to the dining and sat on the same seat he sat on the other day.

Leon immediately glared at him, but Lake ignored him; at that moment, he had an upper hand with Audrey.

He’d done things to her that Leon hadn’t done and wouldn’t do; he would make sure of that.

"Aww, that’s so thoughtful," Isabella said.

She stood from her chair and started to place the plates in front of everyone, preparing to serve the food.

"What of Audrey, is she still busy with the kid?" Isabella questioned as she stood beside Lake.

Lake slowly raised his head and locked his eyes on Leon before responding, "No, we put the boy in his room, she’s currently taking a shower right now," He informed, making sure Leon saw the suggestion in his eyes.

He wanted Leon to know that a claim had already been made. Unfortunately, he wasn’t a wolf and couldn’t smell his scent off Audrey, but Oake would make sure that he showed Leon how a man claims his woman.

He wasn’t backing down from Audrey; she was the only woman who made him feel like he could live again; he had almost given up on life until he met that mysterious and magnetic woman; he would do everything in his power to make her stick with him.

He was starting from luring her down to his country with him, he was so sure that she wouldn’t escape him over there.

"I’ll go check if she’s done," Leon immediately stood from his chair.

Green snapped her head to him, "I’m sorry, Mr. Leon, you’re not allowed in her room," She slowly stood, ready to blink at him if he insisted on going ahead.

Leon paused behind his chair, scoffing, "Really, Green? I’m not allowed but he is allowed? Remind me again who her friend is," He asked in disbelief and disappointment.

Green sighed and walked away from the table, standing between the living room and the dining.

"She allowed him in, Mr. Leon," Green calmly stated.

Leon turned to Isabella, who chose to remain quiet, "Isabella, are you not going to say something?" He questioned, feeling betrayed.

Isabella sighed; she chose to be silent because she was a wolf and could smell her daughter’s scent on Lake; she didn’t know what had happened between them, but she knew they’d been giving in to their mate bond.

Isabella was about to respond when Lake’s calm voice spoke up, "Sit down, Leon, don’t be lousy," He spoke as if he was speaking to a naughty child.

Leon turned red, he turned and marched right up to Lake, standing beside him with a hateful glare. "What did you say to me, Lake?" He places his hand on the space in front of Lake on the table, leaning closer to Lake. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Green was immediately heading toward them, she didn’t want to answer to Audrey if anything physical happened between the two men.

Lake didn’t flinch; he almost smiled as he found the situation comical. He could easily break Leon in half, yet he was the one being threatened.

"Step back, Leon," Lake warned in a low voice, allowing his eyes to instill fear in Leon with the way he stared at him, dead and cold.

Leon felt it; his body told him to move away, but he wanted to be brave, so he didn’t move.

"I asked you a question, Lake, what did you just call me, Lousy?" Leon asked angrily.

"Mr. Leon, please do step away from Mr. Lake; Audrey wouldn’t appreciate you harassing her business partner," Green went and stood beside Leon.

She could feel Lake’s emotions brewing within him, and if he acted on them, Leon would be headless, lying on the floor.

Leon snapped his head to Green and scoffed, "I see what this is, he’s suddenly the better man for Audrey, right? After all the years I spent staying beside her and helping her out, I’m suddenly tossed aside when another man appears huh? It’s what it is, right?!" He raised his voice at Green.

"Calm down, Leon. No one said you’re being tossed aside," Isabella tried to salvage the spiraling situation.

"No, Isabella, you don’t understand-"

"What’s going on here?" Audrey asked from the foot of the stairs, staring into the dining with a deep frown.

She glued her eyes on Lake, silently questioning him on what he’d done in her absence.

"Don’t look at me that way, it’s your lunatic of a friend," Lake casually shrugged.

Leon chuckled, "Lunatic?" He asked beside Lake.

"I’ll show you what a Lunatic does, Fucker!"

"Leon! Stop!" Audrey was beside him in the blink of an eye, holding back from punching Lake again.

"Are you okay?" Isabella went over to Lake and held his face up, examining the side of his lips that’d been punched.

Lake nodded, "I’m fine,"

He saw that coming, and he decided to let Leon hit him just so Audrey could see the kind of person he was and he also wanted her to pity him. He was ready to do anything as long it ended up bringing them together.

"What’s gotten into you, Leon?!" Audrey barked, frowning at Leon.

He stepped away from her, looking at everyone in the room with angry eyes, "I’m leaving; I guess this is the end of our friendship, Audrey. It’s clear I’m no longer needed," He fixed his hand in his pocket and angrily stormed out of the house.

"What the hall?" Audrey turned to Lake and pinned him with a serious look.

"I didn’t do anything," He shrugged.

"Come here," She went and grabbed his hand, leasing him away from the living room.

Lake followed Audrey into a door he hadn’t noticed before at a corner of the living room.

He realized that the room didn’t really have much in it, just a single sofa and a long shelf.

"Sit," She pushed him down on the chair and walked over to the shelf.

She looked so frustrated as she took a white first aid box from the shelf.

She walked back to him and tried opening the box but it fell out of her hands, "Fuck this," She kicked it away from her and looked over at him.

"Just fucking lean back," She pressed his shoulder back on the chair and leaned down towards him.

She placed a gentle hand on the side of his lips that was bleeding and healed him. "Should have fucking done this in the beginning," She muttered and moved away from him.

"Get up and leave my house, Lake - ah!" She yelped as she was suddenly drawn back and saw herself landing on his thighs.

She placed her hands on his chest and glared at him, "I’m not in the mood for your games, Lake. Just leave already, you’ve caused enough trouble already," She blurted out.

Lake smirked at her, "How can I leave after you’ve treated me so roughly? I’m turned on," He slammed his lips to hers, aggressively kissing her.

Audrey was angry and frustrated, so she kissed him back, pouring her anger and frustration into the kiss.

"You see what I’m talking about, you’re so sexy when you’re angry," His voice was urgent and husky.

Audrey moved higher on his thigh and held his collar, "I don’t like you," She whispered against his lips.

Lake chuckled, his arms going behind her to find her waist and ass, "I plan on changing that, Kitten," He kissed her neck.

"Ahh..." Audrey moaned when his teeth grazed where her mark was supposed to be.

"You’re so fucking sensitive, Kitten, I want to know how it feels to be inside you," He whispered into her ear.

Audrey pushed him back again, slamming his back against the chair.

"I’ve told you, let’s keep it professional," She whispered as she slowly started to rock her hips against his hardness.

Lake gritted his teeth; his cock hardening with every friction from Audrey’s hips, "Professional? You didn’t say that when my fingers were inside you or when my tongue sucked and lapped on your addicting juices; I’m sorry, Kitten, one taste is not enough for me; I want more," He started to slide his hand into her shirt, but he got stopped.

Audrey stared at him, "You want more?" She questioned in a sultry voice.

Lake nodded, "Please..."

Audrey smirked at him and got down from his thighs, kneeling between his legs, her hands urgently unzipped his pants and freed his cock.

"Fuck, Kitten, you’re going to the death of me..." Lake threw his head back on the sofa as Audrey’s hungry mouth covered the tip of his hard cock.
