Chapter 165: Consequences

Audrey was losing her restrain every time Lake’s cock touched the back of her throat.

Lake had her hair bunched in his fingers as he moved her head up and down over his cock.

He’d never felt anything like that before; his eyes were changing from his wolf’s yellow color to his normal grey eyes; he didn’t want to let Regal take place because if he did, Audrey would be on the floor, her legs spread and him driving his monster cock right into her pussy.

The thought alone made him groan loudly, shutting his eyes for a brief second to control himself from actualization his thought.

"Fuck, Kitten, you’re - ugh!" Lake gritted his teeth and watched Audrey suck him deep into her throat.

Audrey could feel her pants getting soaked as she concentrated on her activity, an activity she was so used to doing; even after five years, she still lost her sanity doing it.

She choked as she felt his cock grow bigger in her mouth, but it didn’t stop her; she used her hand to pump the base as she increased her speed, sucking and rubbing him at the same time.

"Uh~ Yes, Kitten, just...like...fuck!" His hips bucked, his cock twitching and spasmed in her mouth, his warm seeds speedily shooting down her throat and she swallowed all, not leaving a single drop to escape

Audrey looked at his darkened eyes as she slowly removed her mouth from him, licking her lips.

Lake held her arm and dragged her up to meet his face, kissing her mouth without restraint.

"You drive me crazy...I want more, Kitten; I need to be inside you," He was about to kiss her again, but Audrey backed away from him.

"We’ll discuss the travel plans tomorrow; you can sleep here; Green will show you to a room; goodnight, Lake," She said and turned to walk away.

Lake wasn’t letting this end this way again, he fixed his pants and hurried towards her.

However, before he could grab her hand, he crunched over in pain, grunting as he fell to his knees, a severe headache shooting into his head and locking him into a hazy and painful situation.

Audrey immediately panicked and turned back, lowered herself to him, and held his shoulder.

"Lake! Lake! Are you okay? What’s going on?!" She called in fear; his face was turning red as the second passed, and his body was heating up.

"Lake! Shit!, speak to me!" Audrey screamed.

This was her fear.

Getting close to Lake came with consequences, and there was just little she could help with her powers; if this happened to be a death attack, she couldn’t save him again; she had already breached his soul from crossing over once, and she couldn’t do it twice.

She should have listened to Selena and stayed away from Lake, but her selfishness and heart had led her closer to him, and now look what was happening.

She sat on the floor and lay his head in her lap, her tears falling freely. "Lake, Lake, please answer me," her voice was low and shaky as she stared at Lake’s wincing face; his hand was still holding his head, and his body was still burning up.

Ariel wanted to get into his head to see what was going on, but she couldn’t; it was risky; she might just be interfering with whatever was happening to him, which could lead to a greater consequence.

Lake didn’t know what was happening, all he knew was that he fell to the floor when he tried to reach Audrey, the next thing he knew was that he started to hear her voice inside his head, unsteady and blurry Images started floating through his mind.

He was very sure that the soft whisper he heard was Audrey’s voice, and what she was saying to him seemed to sound very familiar as if he’d heard it before, yet he couldn’t really make out the words of what she was saying.

The pain in his head intensified as the blurry images kept coming and coming and it reached a point where it was too much to handle; he heard a voice crying beside him and he wanted to reach out and tell that person that he’d be fine, but he passed out before he even tried to coordinate his thoughts.

Later that night, Audrey sat beside Lake on the bed as she wiped his naked chest with warm water.

She placed a damp cloth over his forehead, changing it whenever it got too warm.

With the help of Green, she carried Lake’s unconscious body into a room beside hers, she was sure she was even going to leave his side that night, she knew it was her fault that he was in this condition, as she had just held back on her lust then he’d still be fine and conscious by now.

She finished wiping his body and removed the cloth from his head, feeling his temperature; it had considerably reduced compared to before, and he wasn’t wincing his face anymore.

She sighed as she placed the clothes back into the bowls.

There was a soft knock on the door, and she already knew who it was.

"Come in, Green," She responded.

The door opened and Green walked into the room, "Should I carry these out?" She asked quietly.

Audrey nodded, "Yes,"

Green nodded and carried the bowls in each hand; she paused, staring at Audrey before she spoke. "Boss, he’ll be fine," She bowed to Audrey before leaving the room.

Audrey smiled; she always found it funny each time Green tried to show emotions; she was so stiff with it, yet she was very sincere with her words and intentions.

She knew Green was worried about her and Lake; she knew the sacrifice she put into to make sure that Lake lived; now, five years later, she was the same person trying to falter his life again.

The door opened again and Isabella walked in this time, a concerned look on her face. "How’s he doing?" She asked as she sat down on the chair beside the bed.

Audrey sighed and gently took Lake’s in hers, placing it on her lap.

"I think I almost killed him, again," She murmured.

Isabella drew her chair closer to Audrey and placed a hand on her thigh. "No, you didn’t, you’d never hurt him. Do you want to know what I think?" Isabella smiled at Audrey.

Audrey nodded, looking at her mother.

"I think you’re healing him, I believe that even the spirits have compassion, and the moon goddess never breaks a bond, not even after so many years. I think, no...I know this is your souls reaching out to each other and trying to reconnect as one, just as it should be. You don’t have to be scared if the spirits don’t want it to happen, you and I know it wouldn’t happen," She raised her hand to Audrey’s face and petted her cheek, "Don’t worry, everything will be alright, he will be alright," Isabella gave Audrey a comforting smile, patting her cheeks lovingly.

Audrey felt a little comforted by her mother’s words, even if it wasn’t entirely realistic, but the idea was welcomed. She knew there was no way the spirits would give her that kind of grace.

"Thank you, Mother, I really hope it’s as you said," She turned her face to Lake, her fingers caressing his chin, her eyes gliding over his face, not missing any detail.

"He’ll be fine," She muttered.

Isabella watched her daughter. She knew that Audrey had never stopped loving Lake, and she believed that it was just a matter of time before Lake recognized her.

She never said the journey would be easy and rosy, but in the end, they’ll pull through.

Audrey stared longer at Lake and made a decision, she wasn’t going to be a coward, but she wasn’t going to be forward either. She would take it slow and see where it led her.

She turned to look at her mother, "We’re going back to the States," She suddenly announced.

Isabella was surprised for a second, but she wouldn’t pretend like she didn’t know a day like this would come.

"Have you thought it over, dear?" Isabella questioned.

Audrey nodded her head, "Yes."

She breathed in slowly, "I think it’s time to contact Miranda; some arrangements have to be made before I go back; we wouldn’t want everyone familiarly referring to me, or worse, calling me their Luna," She said with a little frown.

Isabella thought deeply for a few seconds before nodding, "Then we have to start packing, I’ve missed everyone. But...what happens to your business?"

Audrey chuckled, "Don’t worry, Mother. This is the 21st century, one doesn’t really have to be present for their business to run, and I have staffs, and...Leon,"

Isabella chuckled, "I don’t think Leon wil be willing,"

"Don’t worry, he’ll be fine," Audrey smiled and turned her attention back to Lake.

That night, she made a decision to take back from nature what it had deprived her of. She was done living her life in the dictation of humans or spirits, she was her own person and she would prove it.
