Has Big Shot Fallen in Love Today?-Chapter 895: Do You Trust Me?
Niu Yanran heard some commotion and came out of the bathroom to investigate.
The room was empty.
She walked to the door.
It seemed that she hadn’t locked the door.
Niu Yanran furrowed her brows slightly, struggling to remember—did she lock the door after taking a call when she came in?
At this moment, there was noise outside again.
The DJ downstairs had already started playing music, punctuated by beats that sounded very much like the noise Niu Yanran had heard earlier.
She exhaled slowly.
After locking the door, Niu Yanran continued her phone call.
Meanwhile, Sheng Tang had already made her way down to the courtyard.
She vaguely saw paparazzi lurking outside the courtyard, puzzled as to who had attracted them.
There were bodyguards at the entrance, and entry was no longer allowed, so the paparazzi were just outside the courtyard walls.
The courtyard walls were iron fences, allowing a clear view from outside.
Sheng Tang glanced at the entrance before quickly retreating.
She finally found a secluded corner and messaged Gu Shiting: "Don’t call; pick me up here in fifty minutes. There are paparazzi outside. You shouldn’t come; have the driver bring a car with tinted windows."
"Okay." Gu Shiting replied almost immediately.
Sheng Tang suspected his WeChat had few contacts, with special alerts for her messages, ensuring he’d see them first.
Then, he asked, "What are you doing?"
"A party, feels like trouble might start." Sheng Tang said. "Remember, not too early or too late, exactly fifty minutes from now."
Gu Shiting replied with another "Okay."
He was a bit worried now.
Sheng Tang thought it through before getting up to find Wang Chuiyang.
Wang Chuiyang was a city girl, familiar with the pleasures of trendy parties. So when she was almost cozying up with a handsome guy, Sheng Tang suddenly came over, making her a bit uncomfortable.
Normally, Sheng Tang knew the ins and outs and wouldn’t disrupt intentionally.
Wang Chuiyang smiled and introduced the man to Sheng Tang.
"Are you the party organizer?" Sheng Tang had a guarded feeling, her smile even more radiant, "Then you’re Yanran’s friend?"
"Not too familiar with Yanran, she asked another friend for help." The man said.
Sheng Tang smiled and nodded.
After finishing the conversation, Sheng Tang continued talking to Wang Chuiyang, "By the way, Chuiyang, I want to ask you something: where did you buy this necklace?"
Wang Chuiyang sensed something beneath her words.
She smiled at the man, saying, "Sorry, we women have some private things to discuss. Why don’t you go have a drink first, and I’ll find you later."
The man politely got up and left.
Wang Chuiyang leaned close to Sheng Tang, whispering, "What’s up?"
She felt Sheng Tang was quite discreet, subtly hinting to her.
Sheng Tang whispered in her ear, "I just saw paparazzi outside."
"That’s normal." Wang Chuiyang laughed, thinking Sheng Tang was overreacting, "We have so many people here, someone’s definitely leaked it.
It’s fine, paparazzi dare not trespass private property, security will knock them down. We can enjoy ourselves inside; the curtains are all drawn. Just be cautious when leaving."
Then she patted Sheng Tang’s back, "Don’t be too nervous; there’s a male model over there who can’t stop looking at you, go enjoy yourself."
Sheng Tang: "I feel like Niu Yanran might have an agenda."
Wang Chuiyang was taken aback.
"Did you notice something?"
"No, just a gut feeling. Do you trust me?" Sheng Tang didn’t mention what she overheard.
After all, "eavesdropping," whether intentional or not, creates a sense of insecurity and might make Wang Chuiyang instinctively fear that her own matters were overheard by Sheng Tang.
