Harem app-Chapter 246: Terrible place part 3
Third person POV
The metallic taste of his own blood still filled Liam’s mouth as he felt his consciousness begin to fade. His muscles failed him, air refused to come, and the cold gleam of the enemy’s blade reflected the inevitable end.
Then, something deep within him awoke. A being seized his body once again. Liam didn’t fight it; he no longer had the strength to.
His body arched suddenly, as if struck by an invisible current of lightning. The blood spilling from his wound seemed to boil, evaporating into a scarlet mist that coiled around his hands.
When he lifted his head, his eyes were no longer the same: they burned with a deep crimson glow, blazing like embers in the dark.
The dead-eyed man, Aeris, faltered for a moment, his raised blade frozen mid-air. Instinctively, he recognized the danger before him.
"What are you?" he muttered, a mix of surprise and curiosity in his voice.
The voice that came out of Liam was not his own. It was deep, drawn-out, laced with a strange sensuality.
"I have no reason to introduce myself to a human. Now, get out of my way."
Before the enemy could react, Liam, or rather, the incubus, lunged forward. His movements were fluid, almost impossible to follow.
The claws that sprouted from his fingers scraped against the steel blade, sparks flying as if metal clashed against metal. Aeris laughed, retreating only to gain space.
The battle began.
The incubus attacked with refined brutality: every strike calculated to kill. Aeris, in turn, countered with a brutal attack, counting on instinct and his inhuman strength to remain alive.
The cell floor shattered beneath their feet, and the air trembled with the raw energy released by the clash of their wills. For a moment, it was as if hell itself had materialized there.
Zoe, lying on the ground, watched in shock, her eyes wide with terror and pain. Clara, curled in the shadows, clutched Laila tightly to her chest.
And then, at the peak of the clash, the incubus simply stepped back. His crimson gaze swept over Aeris from head to toe, and a cold smile curved his lips.
"Honestly, I expected you to be stronger."
Before Aeris could strike again, the incubus vanished, leaving Zoe and Clara behind.
Aeris stood still, breathing deeply, his narrowed eyes fixed on the direction where his foe had disappeared.
Meanwhile, Liam’s body reappeared far away. He slumped against the first wall he found.
"I think I’ve pushed this body too far," the incubus muttered.
"Father!" a sharp voice called out to him. "You left the others behind?" she asked, irritated.
"Yes," he replied, annoyed. Saving that boy’s life was already far more than he cared to do.
"How could you? And are you really going to let that man live? If we don’t kill him, we’ll have problems."
"I know," he answered, displeased. "I wanted to kill him, but I promised I’d leave your boyfriend alive. I can’t do anything against Aeris because of that."
The incubus sighed in frustration. If the angels found out about that madman’s experiments, he would be the one punished.
"Wait... that can’t be..." Lilith murmured in disbelief.
"The succession ritual has already begun," he growled, dissatisfied. "It seems your boyfriend has exceeded our expectations."
Lilith’s eyes widened in shock. Now, all she could do was hope Liam would evolve even faster, fast enough to defeat their enemy.

Back at the warehouse, Aeris was irritated to learn that his slaves hadn’t been able to find Liam’s whereabouts.
"Shit!" He repeatedly kicked one of his slaves to vent his anger.
Still, he needed to get on with his day. Accepting defeat, he ordered another slave to care for Zoe so she wouldn’t die from her broken arm.
He would think about what to do with her later.
For now, he had already decided on the day’s experiment.
With rage still boiling in his veins, Aeris walked down the dark corridor of the warehouse, his footsteps echoing against metal and concrete, until he reached the dogs’ enclosure.
Without the slightest hesitation, Aeris opened the gate and, ignoring the snapping jaws lunging toward him, grabbed one of the animals by its collar. The dog, a German shepherd, fought back, but Aeris dragged it out of the cage with brutal strength.
"You will serve a greater purpose," he whispered, hauling the panicking animal along.
He gripped the dog by the neck, nearly strangling it, and carried it back to where the metal crosses stood waiting.
His eyes scanned the imprisoned girls until they settled on a brunette with an empty gaze, already resigned to her fate. She didn’t even cry when she saw him approach.
Aeris stood before her. With a swift, inhuman motion, he lifted the German shepherd and drove it against the girl’s torso, simultaneously impaling both the animal and the young woman with a sharp metal stake that pierced through her abdomen.
The dog and the girl screamed in agony, but neither had the strength left to struggle.
Ignoring their cries, Aeris pulled out his phone. With his blood-stained hand, he opened an app with a purple background titled Monster Girls App.
He selected the option "Fusion," aimed the camera at the grotesque scene, and tapped "Confirm."
On the phone’s screen, a progress bar began to crawl across the image of the girl and dog, their bodies merging into a single silhouette of torment. The woman’s screams became background noise to the digital loading sound.
FUSION FAILED.
Compatibility Level: 0.8%.
Disposal Recommended.
Aeris sighed, bored. "What a predictable disappointment." He didn’t even look at the victim. Instead, he beckoned one of his servants: a dog-girl with drooping ears and a submissive gaze who watched everything, trembling in the corner.
"You. Dispose of them. Throw them into the pit."
The servant only nodded. "Yes, master." She approached the cross hesitantly, avoiding the dying girl’s eyes. With difficulty, she began to loosen the bonds that held the pierced body.
Aeris sighed in irritation. Lately, he had been creating half-dog slaves because they were the liveliest and most eager to obey. But for some reason, even his dog-servants had grown apathetic.
"What a nuisance... they break so easily," he muttered, leaving the scene behind.
At least this confirmed once and for all the theory he’d been testing: the most important element for a successful fusion was a strong bond between owner and animal.
In that sense, Clara would be perfect. Beside her was a cat that, when given the chance, chose not to flee.
But he wouldn’t use her yet. In fact, he had a perfect plan: to fuse more than one person at the same time. Clara and Laila had the ideal human-animal connection. Zoe possessed enormous strength. Now he only needed a woman of unparalleled beauty.
The combination of the three would be the perfect slave of all. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Aeris smiled at the idea.
Liam had escaped, but Aeris arrogantly believed, with absolute certainty, that no one would dare oppose him.
