Sighing, Chief Xie simply said to her son, "I understand that you don’t want to go against Chanchan’s wishes, and I will not ask you to do it either. But think about what I said to you, Daiyu. Try to get close to Ruan Chanchan or else you might lose her to a killer whale."

He frowned when he saw Shao Xia walking over and came in between her and Rong Xian when he saw that the woman was getting way too close to the prince.

"Who are you? What are you doing?" Zhai Rongyu asked in a stern voice as he looked up at the woman who had barged way too close to their convoy. His eyes fell on the totem that she was wearing on her skin, and he knew that she was from the big bear tribe, but something about her air and the way she looked at their prince made his skin crawl, and he wished she would look away instead of staring at his prince.
