Global Sign-in: 10x Multiplier with the Strongest System!-Chapter 35: Battle Against the Living Dead
Master Abraham didn’t run as fast as he usually did, but Roy still had to hasten his running steps to the max to keep up.
"Master, slow down!" Roy pleaded. He was only a second away from hanging onto Abraham like a cape, flying with the wind but never touching the ground.
Master Abe glanced at him and figured fighting the abyss creatures with Roy this way wouldn’t work out, so he listened and slowed down.
"Strike right below the nape. Any short and they won’t die," Master Abraham said, holding his chainsword backward like a dagger with his left hand.
At the forefront of the undead horde coming at them were a pack of severely injured and rotting abysshounds, which Roy recognized as Veinback Rippers.
Suddenly, Roy had an idea. ’Will that work? I should give it a try.’
"Greymane!"
As he called out, his loyal companion materialized beside him as a blue wireframe before fully assuming form and running alongside them.
"Go!"
"Grrrrr!"
The female alpha growled and ran ahead. Before it made contact with the undead Rippers, a [Beastly Howl] resounded across the battlefield.
However, the attack merely stunned the abysshounds and slowed them down. Although Greymane was Strange and they were Weak, the soulhound was still a Monster battling against the Undead.
Greymane lunged at the first Reanimated Veinback Ripper, who was still stunned, its powerful jaws clamping down on the creature’s exposed neck. The undead abysshound thrashed violently, its movements jerky and unnatural, but Greymane held firm. And with a vicious twist, the soulhound tore through the decayed flesh, ripping the head off the body.

Roy’s eyes widened. ’Sixty?! They give sixty exp?!’
"Focus," Master Abraham said. "Think of this like we’re dancing. Match my rhythm."
Right then, the abysshounds split, as some lunged at Greymane, while others headed for the duo.
"Keep your right hand stretched out," Master Abe instructed, and Roy immediately did as he was told.
The five ferocious undead beasts attacked them, but the C-Class Executioner’s movements were graceful and swift. He dashed backward, but threw Roy into the air right when an undead lunged at them.
The centripetal force from being swung, in addition to the force he instinctively added, combined to make a smooth cut precisely at the neck of the undead beast, much to Roy’s surprise. He didn’t need to personally aim correctly, as his hand placement was already part of Master Abraham’s calculations.

Its head fell, but their movement easily transitioned into ending the next beast.
The C-Class Executioner’s movements were surgical in their precision. As they ended the undead one after the other, Roy came to a terrifying realisation.
’Despite their numbers, they stand no chance, right from the start. This is the power of Master Abraham’s [Solve for X]...’

Just a few metres away from them, Greymane was still at work and was already engaging two more undead abysshounds. The abyss soul’s [Aura of Submission] caused the weak undead to hesitate momentarily before it tore into them, while its [Bloodthirst] made it more ferocious, faster, and stronger the more it killed.
Screee! Screee!
From the sides, a dangerous swarm of Reanimated Spiked-Tail Rats joined in on the fray, their decaying bodies writhing with unnatural movement. They worked as a unit and attacked, their numerous eyes locked onto Master Abe, Roy, and Greymane.
"Roy, wait!" Master Abraham called out and immediately pulled an eager Roy backwards.
With the Array summoned, Master Abe quickly placed the chainsword behind him and grabbed a rifle with his free hand.
A second later, short bursts of gunfire rang out, bursting open the rats but not killing them. As undead, they didn’t mind losing the lower half of their body, but this forced them to crawl, slowing them down.
"Finish them."
Roy gritted his teeth and rushed forward, stomping downward at the neck of the immobilized rats one by one, feeling the rotten flesh squelch underneath his boot.
Inwardly, he repeated nonstop to hold his disgust in, ’I hate rats! I hate rats! I hate rats! I hate rats...’

The notifications kept coming, but Roy barely registered them anymore. The stench of rot and decay filled his nostrils, and disgusting blood splattered across his suit.
However, right then, something small and grotesque latched onto Roy’s leg. Looking down, he felt his blood run cold.
It was a fetus-like creature, no bigger than a toddler, with pale grey skin stretched taut over malformed bones. Its head was too large, its eyes sunken and black, and its limbs bent at unnatural angles.
"Roy, wait... Roy, wait... Roy, wait..." it repeated in a raspy, childlike voice.
"What the FUCK?!" Roy screamed and kicked, throwing the creature at another undead behind.
Due to being in the eye of the storm, the undead were now far too rapid for him to notice each creature properly.
More emerged from the shadows between abandoned cars and rubble. Six, ten, fifteen of them, all crawling with spider-like movements, all chanting Roy’s name in a grotesque chorus.
"Roy... Roy... Roy..."
"What the fuck are these things?!" Roy screamed, kicking another one closest to him away again.
"Homunculus. Weak, but they’re persistent. Never let them get to your face. They want to rip your eyes out."
Master Abraham gave Roy the high-tech rifle, allowing him to dual-wield a gun and a dagger.
"Hold down on the trigger," Master Abraham said, with the rifle in Roy’s left hand. Since their hands were cuffed together, the executioner just moved his right hand, helping Roy shoot the mark correctly.
Roy blasted the heads of three that had gotten too close, their bodies and faces splitting apart, but their mouths still chanting Roy’s name even as they fell.
"Roy... Roy... Roy..."
The sound was maddening. Roy’s hands trembled as he raised the netherstone dagger and cut below its oversized head, silencing it.

In a quick succession, he did this for the other baby monsters.
"How do they know my name?!" Roy asked, genuine terror in his voice.
"They mimic. Stop thinking about it and keep fighting!"
But for Roy, it wasn’t so easy. The way they said his name, with that inhuman tone. Everything about them was wrong. It was at this point that he understood why Master Abraham told him to increase his Willpower.
"Awrrrh..."
Greymane suddenly yelped in pain, drawing Roy’s attention.
A massive creature had blindsided the soulhound. It was an upright deer, standing nearly nine feet tall with gangly limbs and a skull-like deer head. Its antlers were jagged and broken, and its ribcage was partially exposed, revealing nothing.
The undead monster grabbed Greymane by the scruff and hurled the strange beast aside. She slammed into an abandoned vehicle with a loud crash, and dented the metal. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
"Greymane!" Roy shouted, trying to run toward her, but Master Abraham held him back.
"It will be fine. Abyss souls don’t feel pain," Abraham said, his eyes constantly calculating. "Focus on what’s in front of you."
And what was in front of them was something out of a nightmare.
A massive, writhing blob of flesh composed of various creatures melded together was upon them. Arms, legs, claws, and talons jutted out at random angles. At the center of this grotesque mass was a cluster of eyes, all blinking independently, all focused on Roy and Abraham.
"Dear God..." Roy muttered, fighting the urge to vomit.
Master Abraham pulled out a detonator from his utility belt.
BOOM!
One of the explosives Abraham had planted earlier detonated beneath the Fleshwalker, causing it to explode into a few pieces and stumble backward. The explosion didn’t kill it, but it gave them precious seconds.
The split pieces squirmed and made attempts to return to the massive flesh blob.
However, Master Abraham activated [Circle of Order]. The black halo expanded from him, encompassing the Fleshwalker, the deer monster fighting Greymane, and several Homunculi still chanting Roy’s name.
Everything slowed to a crawl except for Master Abraham and Roy.
The two moved through the slowed battlefield like ghosts. Master Abraham’s chainsword cut through the deer monster’s legs, dropping it. And Roy decapitated it without hesitation.

Roy imagined the strange version of this creature wouldn’t be so easy to defeat.
They moved to the Homunculus, then to the Fleshwalker. Master Abraham placed three explosives in key areas of the abyss creature’s body and took several steps back with Roy.
The black halo receded into the C-Class Executioner, and he handed Roy the detonator.
Without hesitation, Roy clicked it.
The creature let out a gurgling wail and exploded, its flesh bursting into a million pieces!

Roy panted heavily.
"Master... I’m running low on energy," Roy said, feeling the drain of maintaining Greymane. He took out an energy crystal from a pouch and absorbed it.
"Then we need to end this quickly."
Master Abraham’s expression turned grim as he looked toward the back of the undead horde, where the Nightwraith floated, protected by the three White Ghouls.
One of the White Ghouls suddenly broke away from the Nightwraith and led a fresh wave of undead toward them: more Homunculus, more Reanimated Veinback Rippers, Weredeer, and Spiked-Tail Rats.
"We’re being overwhelmed," Roy stated the obvious.
Master Abraham just scoffed and shook his head. "Not yet."
Right then, a perfect copy of Master Abraham stepped out from behind the original, as if peeling away from his shadow, wielding an identical chainsword. The clone didn’t speak, but immediately charged at the incoming wave and engaged the White Ghoul leading them!
