Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Lotus Aether

Lana then started to type on the notepad, asking, "Did you catch the spies?"

Lucian glanced at the line, then nodded. "Yes. Thanks to your assistance, I was able to catch them."

At the same time, his eyes flashed with a glint. After removing the spies, he conducted a quick check and realized that there weren’t any other spies.

It meant... that Lana had sincerely told him about the last batch of spies. And going forward, the chances of getting betrayed by his own people will be reduced significantly.

Lana heaved a sigh of relief and quickly typed again, "What is your next move?"

Lucian stared at the glowing text for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly, before he responded.

"I’m planning to invest in one of the companies focused on daily-use technology and appliances."

Lana immediately typed, "Wasn’t your original decision to go with AI and advanced technologies?"

Lucian blinked, faint surprise flickering in his eyes as he read her words.

Before he could question her further, Lana quickly continued typing.

"Going forward, weapon design and blueprint development will rely heavily on AI. Especially for developing weapons against ghosts. AI will eventually become an integral part of the process. There will even be models capable of analyzing talismans and generating new forms of talismans. If you want a direction with long-term growth, choose artificial intelligence."

Lana wasn’t lying... her words were backed by everything she remembered from her future timeline.

As technology progressed, the danger of ghosts evolved too.

Humanity soon realized its own limited intellect wouldn’t be enough to reach the peak.

So they turned to AI, hoping it would solve what they could not.

After various models were trained, several weapon-manufacturing companies successfully developed AI systems capable of designing weapons no human could imagine alone.

The results were revolutionary... made possible because a handful of humans with strong mathematical and design talent partnered with the AI’s computational power.

Still, the people lacked something essential: coordination and innovation synergy. AI filled this gap perfectly.

The weapons born in that era were so remarkable that countless people regretted not entering the AI industry earlier.

And of course, another industry reached its golden age at the same time.

Thinking of that, Lana quickly typed, "There’s another field you should consider as well."

Lucian raised a brow at the screen and motioned for her to continue.

The silver kitten typed swiftly.

"There is a special stone called Lotus Aether located in Draven State’s mountains, the Bloodspire Mountain. If you acquire Lotus Aether and study it properly, you’ll be able to produce something called Array Stones. These can later be used to create arrays that trap ghosts."

From Lana’s memory, she knew a prodigy would emerge in two years, awakening a new power called Arrays.

These arrays, like those from cultivation novels, could amplify, seal, trap, or even destroy ghosts. People once believed such things were mere fantasy.

Until that one person devoted their entire life to arrays... and eventually discovered Lotus Aether Stones, mystical stones capable of channeling Ether, the essential ingredient for Arrays.

From that moment, a new era began. Arrays became real.

Right now, Arrays were still a myth... But in two years, they would explode across the world.

Lana remembered her excitement when she first learned about them. She even tried her hand at creating arrays.

She did well... but not well enough. The truth was that array-making required monstrous mathematical ability, beyond even Lana’s proficiency.

Only the top mathematicians could create arrays, and those with access to Lotus Aether easily became billionaires as the market boomed.

What made it stranger was that even the mathematicians who came late into the game earned fortunes.

Lotus Aether became so valuable that possessing Bloodspire Mountain turned an unknown family into a global powerhouse. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Too late, people realized Bloodspire Mountain was essentially a gold mine disguised as stone.

Only those with mining rights to the mountain held true power.

Thinking of all this, Lana immediately typed, "Lucian, you must acquire Bloodspire Mountain as soon as possible."

Lucian narrowed his eyes as he read the message, then nodded slightly. "I’ll keep this in mind and take action."

Worried he might underestimate the opportunity, Lana quickly typed,

"If you don’t, someone else will. Once the news spreads, it will be impossible to obtain."

Lucian chuckled softly.

"I know, silver kitten. You want me to seize every profitable opportunity." His eyes softened.

"But I truly cannot understand how this ’Lotus Aether’ stone will ever be useful, or why AI would become relevant again. In a world full of ghosts, technology lost its place. Even scientists began doubting their own field. If science exists, why do ghosts exist? That question shattered every foundation we had."

He sighed lightly. "Because of that, technology became stagnant. AI... is seen as a dead field."

Lana immediately typed,

"It will be useful! Start with weapon printing, and feed your AI various weapon blueprints. Once it learns, and if someone talented partners with it, the AI can design weapons with a high accuracy rate and low waste. With AI’s math capabilities, its optimization will be incomparable."

Lucian’s expression shifted. He glanced at the line for a long moment before finally nodding.

The silver kitten quickly continued typing.

"And the Lotus Aether, use it for Arrays. They’re impossible now, but in two years, Arrays will become the next global revolution. Hurry, or someone else will claim the mountain."

Lucian nodded once more. Then he looked at her with a small smile.

"Thank you for the advice. Truly. And if I succeed... if I gain the profits you predict... I will definitely reward you."

Lana’s eyes sparkled. Her tail swished excitedly.

’Reward? REWARD?? YES! GIVE ME EVERYTHING!’

She nearly jumped on him but stopped herself just in time and instead typed much more calmly than she felt:

"I will look forward to it."

Just as she finished typing, she heard the banging sound on the door, followed by Naina’s panicked voice, "Lucian! Lana is missing!"
