From Imp to Demon God: Conquering the Demon World With a Succubus-Chapter 84: Counter-Narrative
Myles recalled the ball of blood from the Commander of the Blood Knights Velmoryss City. As far as he remembered, it was simply the result of condensing the demonic energy until it reached the limit.
If it was to compare its lethality back in the earth’s standard, it was akin to a bullet of a sniper.
Myles was successful on his first attempt before, but he was curious if it was possible to coalesce demonic energy from different laws and compress them into a ball. He visualized every time he meditated but failed again and again until he finally found the perfect formulation to balance them.
Thirty percent each for the law of blood and law of shadow, and twenty percent each for the law of blood and shadow.
Of course, it was only possible in his visualization. However, as much as he wanted to execute them in reality, he would inevitably reveal his secrets.
After all, it requires expending up to seventy five percent of his demonic energy.
Now that he was given a chance, and a Commander of the Blood Knight was the perfect training dummy to be tested, he did not hesitate to execute it.
There was a reason why Myles only executed it now than earlier. The chances for the Commander to self-destruct by detonating his blood with fire was higher when he was at his wits end.
However, the chances of subduing him when his self-destruct failed was higher, too.
It was within Myles’ calculation.
He was confident that the Blood Knight would survive from his deadliest attack and his self-destruction.
Once his fist collided with his glabella, the demonic energy from every law entered his body and destroyed the demonic energy of the law of blood that slowly turned into fire.
After a while, as the Commander’s face was now deformed from the sheer physical strength of Myles one-inch punch, the Commander’s convulsing body finally simmered down.
Myles frowned, staring at the Commander in a tense. It was undeniable he was actually nervous if the Commander accidentally killed.
Everything he had worked out for would be demolished once the Commander died. He was already the primary suspect of the death of the Veil Stalker, and now, the Commander dying in front of him would inevitably catch the attention of the Demon Lord, too.
He would be haunted at every corner until he would get caught and die.
Just as he was in the middle of overthinking, the voice in his head echoed in his mind.
[Congratulations! You have gained another follower in the Greater Demon Rank 3.]
Myles rejoiced. However, it did not last long from the voice in his head’s following words.
[However, if you won’t heal him, he will die in the next five minutes.]
He frowned and turned towards the other Blood Knights and shouted, "Wound yourself and offer your blood to the Commander. One by one, pour it above his head."
Without hesitation, the knight captain appeared in front of the Commander and sliced through his armor and wrist. Blood poured out over the head of the Commander.
Myles shouted at the Commander, "Absorb it, heal yourself."
The blood, radiating with demonic energy in the law of blood, over the Commander’s head was instantly absorbed.
One by one, every Blood Knight offered their blood. When they were finished, Myles noticed that the demonic energy inside the Commander was still far from driving the demonic energy he inflicted to him.
Myles gritted his teeth and decided to offer his blood to the Commander, too.
Myles was a bit bitter. For the first time, his demonic energy was almost drained and he was physically exhausted. Now, he had to give up his regenerative ability just to save the Commander.
In the end, he gaslighted himself that it was worth it.
As his blood poured down over the head of the Commander, he was stunned when he noticed that his blood was actually more effective than every blood of the Blood Knights combined.
The Commander instantly healed. All the foreign demonic energy was not repelled but consumed instead. His deformed face returned to normal.
Even his blood armor was restored.
Myles was so dumbfounded that he was still speechless after the Commander kneeled with one knee and bowed deeply, exclaiming, "Greetings, Master! Thank you for saving me!"
Every Blood Knight, who felt anemic, rejoiced when they realized their Commander had finally been converted.
Without hesitation, they faced the Emperor and kneeled with one knee, bowing deeply.
Myles was finally startled awake. He glanced at the Commander and said, "Call me, Emperor. Also, clean up your mess."
The Nullbound Sphere and Veridictum Coil were slightly damaged from the fight. If the Crown of Night Glass were to come to know, it might complicate the issue at hand.
Thankfully, the Commander was already enslaved. It could easily be resolved.
The Commander replied, "Yes, Emperor. However, it might be difficult to clean the mess."
Myles frowned.
He had already expected this.
He asked, "What do you need?"
The Commander was silent for a while. He finally replied before Myles went impatient, "A counter-narrative."
"And what have you thought of?"
The Commander hesitate for a while and finally said, "I’m not sure if you’ll agree to this, Emperor, but this is the only counter-narrative I thought of that would expel their doubts on you."
Myles was vexed. "What is it? Just tell me."
...
Myles was being carried roughly by the Commander. The latter was grasping Myles’ right arm as they entered the Knights Instructor’s faculty.
Every Commander Knight was already present, including the Commander of the Knights in the Crown of Night Glass.
They simultaneously glanced at Myles and were surprised.
However, the Commanders of Night Templars and Veil Stalkers frowned.
The Commander of the Night Templar asked, "What happened? Why were the artifacts slightly damaged?"
The Commander of the Blood Knights threw Myles on the floor and said, "This guy panicked when being interrogated as it was his first time and accidentally damaged the artifacts."
Every Commanders were dumbfounded, including Myles.
