Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 230: That trickster can’t get me
Celestia’s POV:
Lord Samuel led us to the lonely cottage that was far away from the stream.
"This is where my lover lives! Now Silver Shadow is holding her captive in there," Samuel said.
Still, I couldn’t believe him. That trickster was in the Highland this whole time. How could he have held his girlfriend captive here?
Once we reached closer to the lonely cottage, Darius halted all of us and said, "The training warriors will surround the cottage, and the rest of them will get in there through the main door—"
Everyone followed the instructions of Darius, and the warriors split up in different directions. As soon as I got into the cottage, I comprehended that he was not here too; I didn’t feel his presence. The cottage was narrow—even though it looked huge from outside. So the lover of the Fae Lord lives in such a small space like this?!
There was not much room for six of the warriors to even stand inside the cottage—so the rest of them were outside. Soon the door of the only room in the cottage opened, and an almond-haired lady got out of it.
She was wearing a plain yet elegant dress. Her long hair was messy, and her eyes were red from crying. She was helplessly glaring at us—but her expression turned happy when she saw Samuel.
She went to him and put her arms around him hastily. "My Lord, I knew that you would come for me—"
So she was really held captive?! But why am I still not able to believe this?
"I am sorry for letting you down, Nakia! I really had no other choice than to leave you—" Samuel said to her.
Then the almond-haired girl stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on his cheek. What is going on here?! My fellow warrior friends were utterly confused, just like me; they all watched the scene quietly.
"Where is he?" I shouted out loud and interrupted their moment. Nakia shuddered and hid behind Samuel.
I moved near them and fixed my gaze on her. "I know that you are acting. Now tell me where he is?"
She started crying out instead of giving me a reply. Samuel patted her head and tried to comfort her. "Can you please not scare my girl? She gets traumatized when someone yells at her—"
My frustration reached the peak after that. How long can I listen to other’s lies even after knowing that they are deceiving me?
I gritted my teeth and said, "If you both don’t quit your acting now, then I swear that I will...."
"Celestia, that is enough," Darius shouted from behind me. "You can’t keep on accusing or threatening someone without solid proof. It is against our laws—"
"So I am supposed to do nothing even after knowing that they are lying?"
He let out a sigh. "Just stay out of this, for now, Celestia. You seem to be not in your right mind—"
Not only was I offended, but I was also humiliated by his words. I wondered how that trickster always succeeds in humiliating me before others.

I leaned against the wall and quietly watched the scene—as per the instructions of Darius. He was questioning them both, for which they two gave out vague answers.
"Did the Silver Shadow trap you in this cottage for these many days?" Darius asked Nakia.
"Yes," she replied in a normal tone this time. At least she is not weeping anymore and irritating me. "But a female Siren girl stayed with me for this long, and she never let me even step out of the cottage. Today, that trickster arrived here and was watching me."
That trickster has still not changed; he still uses his Siren girls to do his dirty work.
"Fine," Darius said. "Now tell me, where is he now? Why did he arrive here? Did he tell you anything about that?"
"No, he didn’t," she shook her head side to side and let her long hair cover her face. "While he was here, he was arguing with the Siren girl the whole time. Then somehow he sensed that the Dawn was arriving here, and he fled the cottage just before you all arrived here—"
"So the Silver Shadow left the land?" he asked her in a disappointed tone.
"No," she shook her head again. "I heard him say that he was not going to leave the land without capturing the Dawn. Apparently, he is still lurking around here as we talk...."
I got anxious and looked around my surroundings. He could be lurking here?! And he wants to capture me? I tried hard to calm myself down. He can’t get me! Even though he is an Anti-Angel now, he can’t defeat all of us warriors.
"Is there anything else that you witnessed?" Darius asked finally.
"No, that’s it! This is all I know," she answered.
Then I understood why Lord Samuel and Nakia were acting. These two had aided Silver Shadow, and now they are cleaning their image by acting like a victim—and the worst part is that they succeeded in this.
Even though I know for sure that they are traitors, I can’t prove it to others. This idea must have been given out to them by that trickster. Nice move, though!
I wonder what is waiting for us next. If he is still in this land, it means that the game is still going on.
"Prince... Darius.....," Nakia said nervously. "I know that it is not my place to talk. But the Dawn is not safe here. I heard him swear to the Siren girl that he is going to capture the Dawn before the night ends—and he is going to take her to some island. So I conclude that it is better if the Dawn goes back to the castle of Highlands now; she will be safe there—"
Her words were so convincing; for a moment, I thought that she was telling the truth. But what she said last is definitely not false.
That trickster must have laid traps for me to capture me, but I am not foolish anymore to fall for that.
"That trickster can’t abduct me; I swear that I will capture the trickster and imprison him in the dungeon before the night ends—" I declared to everyone in the room.
