Chapter 133: Down in the Dungeon

Celestia’s POV:

"No..." I screamed out. " The Dawn will never show mercy to anyone! Step aside now or prepare yourself to be consumed by my wrath."

The Fae guard didn’t move at all. Even though he was scared to his bones, he stood still like a rock in front of me.

"I will follow the King’s orders even if it means that I should have to die doing that," he said out boldly.

The rest of the Fae guards, who were so timid before, gained courage by his words and came to his aid. Now all of the Faes were on my way.

So it is true what they say about the rotten fruits. When one rotten berry is mixed up with the basket of good ones, it always ends up spoiling the entire basket of berries.

"Fine," I shouted out. "I apologize to you all in advance for what is about to come next."

I stuck all of them with my flames immediately. They all weren’t even able to defend themselves. They are just guards, and they don’t have the abilities of a Warrior Fae.

I decided to show mercy on them, so I didn’t completely set them up on fire. I made sure that my flames didn’t harm them much.

They were minorly injured, but their wounds can be healed entirely by one of the healer Faes in this castle.

After that, they all ran away from there in order to save their damn lives. I understood that life always comes before duty! No one will perform a task when his life is at stake.

I got back to my normal formal only after I stepped into the dungeon. The dungeon was cold and dark, just like it was in my vision.

I had to create a ball of flames from my palms to yield some light in this place. I was stunned to see that there were no prisoners here. All the iron cage cells on either side of the Dungeon were empty.

Usually, there are at least five to ten prisoners down here. And most of the prisoners tend to be Shadow entities. Just a few days ago, Lilin attacked this land. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

I bet that my father had captured a lot of Shadow entities. But where did they all go? Or maybe he didn’t capture any of them. That is why these cells are empty.

This is surprising to me as this shows how poorly my father and his troops must have performed in the battle. Now I understand why Father Oberon wanted to reunite with the Lowlanders.

He clearly can’t face this war alone without the aid of Lowlanders. I tried to do the right by making an effort to unite them. But no one was ready to listen to me.

Even now, we are fighting among ourselves instead of coming up with a plan to stop Lilin. I don’t know where this pathway is going to lead us all?

I kept on walking deeper into the dungeon. I must have passed by at least seventy cells. Still, Theo wasn’t there in any of them.

Where is Theo? Is he even here? But Theo must be here! Or else why would the Fae guards be guarding the door?

I don’t know what the actual length of this dungeon is! I have lived in this castle all my life. Still, I have rarely been down here. All I know is that this dungeon is very long, and it has the potential to hold up one thousand prisoners at a time.

I assume that I must be at least in the middle of the dungeon by now. From here, the pathway was sloping, and the atmosphere got cooler. Am I going deep down the surface?

This reminded me of my experience in the underground cavern back in the Emerald Palace. I am not too fond of roaming in the tunnel, which is below the surface. At least the last time I had Darius to keep me company.

Now I am all alone down here! It is so silly of me to get scared of some little dark. I am an Angel, and I should be fearless!

The pathway ahead of me was very steep. It was like I was walking down the slope of a hill. I am glad that I am in my warrior suit now. It would have been a hell lot challenging to walk here if I was wearing a long gown.

The ball of flames from my hand was lighting up the whole surrounding around me. So I didn’t dare to lower my hand at all, even for a second.

Suddenly, I heard an ear-piercing squeaking noise. All my courage got shattered after that, and I let out a scream. What is this noise? I scanned around my surroundings anxiously.

I looked up at the rocky surfaces and spotted a couple of bats flying over there. I got more terrified than I was before. What are bats doing down here?

This is Light Realm! Shadow creatures don’t dwell here. Perhaps the underground surface is an exception from the rest of the regions. These little shadow creatures could wander on the surface below the land.

Just when I was about to get more scared and anxious, I spotted a large iron cage twenty feet away from me. This must be it!

From a distance, I was able to see Theo lying inside on the cold surface inside the cage. He seemed to be in a lot worse condition than he was in my vision. His skin was so paler like milk. I should free him right now!

"Theo," I called out and sprinted over there immediately. My voice echoed multiple times all around me. Still, Theo wasn’t moving at all.

As I got closer there, I realized that it was not precisely an iron cage. When the faint light from my flames hit the cage, it began to glitter a little.

This whole cage is made up of dead rock! It’s not a wonder why Theo is unconscious. He is chained up and also confined with dead rock.

"Celestia," I heard my father roar behind me.

The atmosphere was already freezing down here. But after I heard my father’s voice, my heart froze too, along with my body.
