Forever Destined to the Silver Shadow-Chapter 129: Time to set you free
Celestia’s POV:
When the moon comes up in the sky, the mountain lands tend to get a lot cooler. The only thing I was relishing now was this cool climate. For the past few days, I was in the sunny Lowland regions, and I missed this chillness a lot.
As the night began to fall on the lands, I wasn’t able to see the snow-capped mountains from my window. All I got to see was darkness. Until now, I was distracting myself by viewing the mountains outside.
Now I had nothing else to do except to think about everything that Ember said to me. She told me that I am accepting Theo only because I am in love with him. But that is not true! I always try to side with the right. I believe in Theo, and his principles are right.
I should not take Ember seriously. She was trying to get in my head with her twisted words. Whatever she said was not true! And it is ridiculous to get upset about untruths.
I have to find a way out of this. I can’t have this dead rock chain on my wrists forever. It is hard for me to change clothes with this thing holding my wrists together.
They call this thing a dead rock chain for a reason. This suppresses not only my power but also my energy. Even after I had my lunch, I was starving and began to feel weak just within a few minutes.
To make things worse, I walked around the room for hours and wasted all the little energy that was in my bones too. I was so exhausted that I wasn’t even able to stand up on my feet.
I laid down on the bed and shut my eyes tight. What should I do to get away from here? I am a prisoner now! So if I need to get away from here, I should convince my captors to release me.
I pleaded with them so many times, but they refused to release me. So I have got only one option here. I should have to give them what they want from me.
Father Oberon expects me to stop taking Theo’s side. Then I should at least act like I hate Theo. I should make them believe that I have changed entirely and won’t take Theo’s side even if he threatens to push me down the cliff when I am tied up with dead rock chains.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My eyes jolted open when I heard someone walking into my room. I slightly turned my head and saw Darius standing next to my bed with a wooden basket in his hand.
"I bought you Ruby berries from the Northern mountains," he said and smiled at me.
I immediately got up from the mattress. Just by seeing my favorite berries, I got energetic. I grabbed the basket from him and began to eat the berries from it.
They were juicy and tasty like always! "Thank you so much, Darius," I said while I was munching the juices from the berries in my mouth.
Darius quietly watched me empty the entire basket of berries. I was pretty shocked by my appetite! I have never eaten a basket full of berries at once.
"Celestia, have you become an animal?" Darius mocked me.
I raised my eyebrows at him. I am not an animal! I was made like this by him. He was the one who tied me up with these chains. But I can’t confront him now. It won’t benefit me in any way.
"What can I do, Darius? This chain is draining my energy and gives me an insatiable appetite," I sighed out.
He looked at me as if he felt sorry for my situation. This is a good sign! If I keep on talking, he might release me as well. "Please have mercy on me, Darius! It would be good if you free my hands at least for a second."
"I am sorry, Celestia! I can’t release you. I know what you will do if I set you free. You will attack us all and release the trickster from the dungeon."
I got back to my feet and looked up at Darius. "I am not going to do that. I realized the truth about Silver Shadow now. He is a trickster, and he tricked me into sinning. I just don’t want to sin anymore."
His pale blue eyes widened in surprise as he heard me out. "Celestia," he gaped. "Have you finally realized the truth?"
"Yes," I replied. "Father Oberon told me the truth yesterday. That trickster and the gifted Siren girl deceived me. They both clouded my mind with lies. But now, I am free from their manipulation. So can you please set me free now?"
He studied me quietly for a moment and said, "How would I know if you are telling the truth? You could be manipulating me too!"
"Darius," I gasped out. "Are you seriously doubting me? If you don’t believe me now, then when are you going to trust me? Or are you planning to chain me up like this for all my eternity?"
He shook his head and mumbled, " No! Our father told me to release you once you regain your lost senses."
"Then you can free me now," I cried out. "I have regained my senses."
He looked down at my chained hands, and then he met my eyes. "I guess that it is time to set you free," he said and smiled at me.
Finally, it is happening! When did I become such a good liar? Usually, people tend to catch my bluffs, but now he couldn’t even find out that I was actually lying.
"I’ll go now and inform our father about it, Celestia. He will be pleased to know that you have finally realized the truth."
After that, he turned away from me and walked to the door.
"But you still haven’t freed me yet," I asked him anxiously.
"Our father will be doing the deed," he announced and left the room.
