Falling For My Accidental CEO Husband-Chapter 309: Tools (2)
Chapter 309: Tools (2)
She glanced at Dale, then back down. "What... are these?" she asked, not bothering to mask her confusion.
He didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he shifted something in the case —-a roll of black fabric with pockets, unfastening it like a chef revealing a knife kit. More objects emerged: a lipstick tube that she instantly knew wasn’t just that, a pair of innocuous hair sticks, a bracelet with embedded clasps that looked... suspiciously mechanical.
"They’re tools," Dale said flatly, as if that explained anything.
"I figured that much," she muttered, folding her arms again. "But tools for what, exactly? What am I supposed to do with these?"
He straightened and looked at her. His expression didn’t shift, "You’re going undercover in a world that doesn’t tolerate mistakes. That means you need to blend in without losing your advantage or giving someone the opportunity to harm you. These are how you do that."
She bent down, her fingers hovering above a slim silver tube that resembled a luxury makeup item.
"This?" she asked.
"Lipstick knife," he said. "Twist the base. Don’t do it now."
She froze, then pulled her hand back.
Her gaze slid to a choker — black leather with a dull silver clasp. "And this?"
"Wire garrote. Looks like fashion. Acts like a last resort, in case you need to strangle someone."
She swallowed.
One by one, he pointed out the rest.
"Stiletto heels —-the right one unscrews at the heel, concealing a blade. The left’s reinforced for impact strikes."
"This bracelet fires a tranquilizer dart. One shot. Don’t miss."
"Hairpin — pressure-sharpened carbon. Can pierce cartilage."
She blinked at him. "Are you serious?"
He tilted his head slightly. "Do I look like I’m joking?"
She couldn’t argue with that.
She leaned back on her heels, staring down at the arsenal of covert weapons disguised as accessories, fashion statements, or tools of a different kind of trade. Her gaze flicked to what she’d originally thought were bondage cuffs.
"Those?"
"Can lock. Can restrain. Can electrocute," he said. "If someone grabs you, you want options. And of course they work with you Dominant image as well."
She didn’t reply for a moment. The reality of what she was about to do- of what he was preparing her for - pressed into her chest like weight.
"And all this," she said quietly, "is for the cover."
"Yes," Dale replied. "You’re not just blending in. You’re becoming someone they trust. Someone they believe in. That means you have to play the role fully. I will teach you how to use each of there items carefully. The ones that I have placed on the left are for self defense. You must have as many items of this on your body as you can. The ones on the right are what will help you play your role. In case you feel things might get out of hand you can also use them to hold the person."
Ella looked down at the wide array of weapons and wondered how the heck would she ever get the knack of it. Just then, he moved and as he did, she noticed him bending down to pick up the garote choker, what ever that was. She had no idea.
T"his one," he said, holding up the thin black band with the dull clasp, "is the wire garrote."
He brought it around her throat, the leather soft but firm. "Lift your hair."
She hesitated, then swept it up, exposing her neck.
His fingers worked with a kind of practiced calm, fastening it in place. As he adjusted the clasp, his knuckles grazed her skin lightly and Ella almost shivered at the touch...
"Feel that?" he said, voice low now. "Looks like fashion. But pull here—" his finger nudged the back— "and it releases into wire. Fast. Silent."
She didn’t move, barely breathed, as she felt him unfasten it and place it in her hand. She held it carefully, marvelling at the wire that could be used to strangle someone.
Then he reached for the second choker.
This one looked more like a delicate chain, silver and unassuming, with a small charm of ruby dangling from the center. It was too beautiful and she could not help but want to hold it. Just as her hand was about to reach for it, he held the pendant between his fingers. She stilled, his hand so close to her, almost touching her, gave her a pause. Then, he tugged at the pendant. One quick move... She felt her breath catch as her chin lifted almost automatically.
The chain drew in and tightened around her neck—not enough to choke, but enough to feel. Enough to remind her it was there. His fingers lingered on the charm, holding it taut for a beat longer before easing off.
Her breathing had gone shallow again.
"It looks like jewelry," he said quietly, "but it’s a restraint. A subtle one. The more tension on the charm-" he gave it a slight pull again, making her breasts thrust out almost instinctively "—the tighter it gets. If someone’s wearing this, you’re in control of their breathing, their posture, their movement."
She swallowed, her fingers brushing the ruby as he moved his hand, as if to make sure it was real. She could still feel the warmth of his hand on it... "So it’s a leash."
"In the right hands," Dale said, "it’s a tool for dominance. For guiding. For reminding them who’s in control without needing to raise your voice or your hand. And yes... it can be used during sex. During play. During discipline."
She stared at him. He didn’t break eye contact.
"It’s not just for defense," he continued. "This one is for power. For dynamic control. You can wear it yourself if needed, to gain trust... or put it on someone else"
Ella’s mouth went dry.
His voice remained calm, level, like he wasn’t talking about anything unusual at all. That made it worse. Dam* it! He wasn’t teaching her about the weather.
"You’ll learn how to use it properly soon."
