Fake Professor, Misunderstood As Strong-Chapter 297: Conspiracy. Part-2.
Luche used her powerful mana detection and searched every nook and cranny of the destroyed underground base, but she couldn’t find the armor that she was looking for.
"Ugh, another wasted effort! I am going to torture every single one of these sh*theads for making me work so much!!"
Luche looked around and noticed that her plants had already ripped apart or slaughtered most of the cultists, and those that were left were already half-dead by now.
"Ugh... this is the worst; I don’t even have someone to vent my frustrations on..."
Luche sighed in helplessness; even when thinking about putting misery on others, and even when sighing, she looked extremely beautiful and breathtaking.
"Forget it, just give me the information about your next base..."
[Grade 3 Wood Magic: Mass Plant Communication!]
Using her affinity with wood magic, she cast a spell that worked in a wide area and communicated with all the plants that were sucking all of the cultist’s memories.
All the relevant information entered her head with just a single spell.
This is the main method by which Luche has been hunting down the false dome cult members.
As long as she gets hold of one base, it becomes easy to locate other bases that some of the members of the destroyed base must have visited before.
Luche has been doing this for three months, and she’s already destroyed a few dozen hidden bases of the false dome cult.
She’s become one of the biggest headaches to the false dome cult members aside from Jareth.
Jareth is good at hindering their ultimate plans and is near impossible to kill, as his overwhelming firepower has made many people in the world afraid.
Luche, on the other hand, has become a massive headache, as she’s good at tracking and memory reading.
There’s no counter to her, and even if you send powerful people to deal with her, they will not be able to survive either, as she’s one of the strongest beings on this planet.
Even Zion could not kill Luche, let alone anyone else.
Moreover, the false dome cult does not have too many members in the first place due to various reasons, and Luche has been killing hundreds of them every day.
She’s already developed a ’plant’ species with her overpowered wood magic skills that can find out if someone is a member of the False Dome Cult or not.
That plant species can distinguish the smell and aura of the demon god behind their organization, and she can easily tell them apart with that spell.
This spell helped her track down many hidden cultists hiding in cities or some populated places.
This was also the reason why so many bases of the cult could not remain hidden from her.
She’s destroyed many bases but hasn’t found any clues about the armor yet, as most of them were unimportant small bases, but today was different.
Today, Luche finally found a very important clue; it wasn’t a clue to the armor but to something even more important.
"Wha-what!? This!?"
A look of shock and disbelief spread all over Luche’s face when she read through the memories of the cultist who was likely the leader of this hidden base.
She didn’t originally care about him and didn’t even notice that the guy was a peak grade-2 knight.
To her even grade-1 individuals are as fragile as glass, so she has long stopped considering grade-2 beings as something that are worth her time.
But that’s not true for others; in many organizations and places, grade-2 beings are already the pinnacle of individual strength!
Grade-1 individuals are incredibly rare, so rare that you can just count them all on the fingers of just one hand, but there are dozens of grade-2 individuals everywhere.
Even for the False Dome Cult, only their core members are this strong, and this person was a core member who had come to this base for an inspection.
He got unlucky as Luche arrived at the exact same time he was there.
It didn’t take more than a few seconds for him to succumb to Luche’s magic and for his memories to be harvested on the spot.
A major secret of the organization that was only known to the core members of the cult was revealed to Luche in that moment.
"I-I need to find Zion; I need to tell him this information!"
With a panicked look on her face, Luche flew up in the air, stopped caring about finding the armor, and shot towards the direction of the elven capital at full speed.
...
Far beyond the Human Empire.
In the South Pole Somewhere.
"Our benevolent god has given us guidance; those heretics are trying their best to stop us from bringing a new age to this world!"
"But we will never stop; we will not be stopped by anyone! We will achieve our goals no matter what!"
Rahnan, the head of the ’False Dome Cult,’ was standing on a massive plateau made of ice.
Cold icy winds were raging everywhere, and a massive snowstorm was making visibility in the area reach almost zero.
There were no sunrays here, there was no sunrise, and it was pitch dark and white everywhere and in every direction.
Wind speed was so fast that it could lift up an entire train full of cargo and fly it in the sky.
Frost elementals were so concentrated in the area that just taking one breath here can instantly kill a person due to the frost and ice.
The ice crystals in the air were being shot by the snowstorm in every direction at a speed much faster than a sniper rifle’s bullet!
Despite being in such a chaotic environment filled with deadly weather, Rahnan and his subordinates were cheering happily as they were laughing and jumping around.
They had all succeeded!
Their ultimate plan had succeeded today.
They managed to trick Jareth and everyone else into thinking that their actual target was the golden nail in the ’Wailing Hills’ area, when in fact they had a completely different plan.
It was in fact them who spread the rumor that they were going to do something in the ’Wailing Hills’ area.
Rahnan, in fact, never even tried to reach the ’Golden Nail’ located in the deepest area of the ’Wailing Hills.’
That was just a diversion, created to lead Jareth away for the time being, and his actual target was here in the ’South Pole.’
It was a simple yet very effective conspiracy, and it worked easily.
It’s not that Jareth is an idiot; the main reason why the False Dome cult succeeded in this conspiracy is that they have a major advantage.
Not only do they know more about the location of the golden nails than anyone else in the world, but they also have the support of a powerful demon god behind them.
Who’s always guiding them with his immense knowledge and giving them helpful advice all the time.
Jareth was just one person in the end; he can’t be everywhere at the same time, and he had no organization or subordinates to do his bidding without caring about life and death.
Rahnan was different; he had lunatic subordinates who would willingly drink poison for him as long as he told them to drink it.
He can afford to attack different places at the same time with the help of his subordinates; Jareth could not do something like that.
"It’s pointless to resist! It’s pointless to escape! The world I will create will be inevitable, and no one can stop it from happening!"
