Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 76: Adrian Dantalion
The main salon of the imperial manor was bathed in soft light, dimmed by tall crystal chandeliers that sparkled on the ceiling. The walls, covered in light wood paneling, were adorned with tapestries depicting the ancient victories of the Empire.
The air carried a faint scent of beeswax and discreet incense with notes of cypress.
Although Adrian resided at the Academy only as a high-ranking student, the apartments of an imperial prince retained an opulence and order that spoke of ancestral power.
A long table carefully set occupied the center of the room. Refined dishes were arranged on it, still steaming, while a servant dressed in the austere uniform of the imperial house stood motionless near the door before stepping forward silently.
"This way, Lady Isabella. His Highness Prince Adrian is waiting for you," she announced in a low, respectful voice, bowing slightly before guiding the guest to the table.
Adrian, second prince of the Empire, was already seated at the end of the table, back straight, hands flat on the dark wood. He wore a black silk doublet enhanced with discreet silver embroidery on the sleeves, a sober ceremonial outfit that accentuated his authoritative demeanor rather than adorning it.
His short silver hair was carefully styled, framing his stoic face. But when his golden eyes settled on Isabella entering the room in a perfectly fitted blue dress that highlighted her huge ass, a rare smile appeared.
"Lady Isabella, I am glad you accepted my invitation."
"Prince Adrian, it is an honor to share your meal," Isabella replied in a honeyed voice, perfectly modulated, likely to make this prince hard who had eyes only for her.
Adrian Dantalion. The name evoked, in power circles, a young man of cold intelligence, devouring ambition, and notorious aversion to his older brother, Crown Prince Julius Dantallion.
But beyond the throne, this bastard also coveted his brother’s fiancée, Isabella Donoghan. That was the reason for his idiotic smile; he wanted to make a good impression, perhaps he would finally get what he wanted...
"Please, take a seat. I hope Duke Donoghan is well, as is the duchess. Your family remains an indispensable pillar of the Empire," Adrian continued, inviting Isabella to sit on his right.
"Thank you for your concern, Your Highness. My parents are in excellent health and asked me to convey their most sincere respects," Isabella replied politely as she sat, arranging the folds of her dress around her.
After some small talk, the meal began quietly, the prince slowly cutting the meat on his plate. Of course, even though he deeply loved Isabella, today’s meeting was far more important than simply spending time together. Without waiting much longer, he broke the silence, getting straight to the point.
"I know you are well aware of the upheaval that has occurred over the past two years," Adrian said calmly, bringing a piece of meat to his mouth.
Naturally, Isabella was not surprised in the least; she was fully aware of the reason for her presence. And regarding what the prince had mentioned, she knew it perfectly well.
"Indeed, the fall of one of the legendary families, along with other noble houses, was quite..." Isabella replied, staring at her plate. It was as if she was searching for her words. "...unexpected. It affects us by changing quite a few things."
"I expected no less from my precious right hand," Adrian continued, visibly satisfied with his subordinate’s reliability. He had noticed Isabella’s darkened face.
"...It seems to affect you negatively?" Adrian asked.
"Well, for a family that fought to repel demons alongside the six other legendary families in the past, ending in such a miserable way is sad. Don’t you think the Holy Cathedral was a bit..." she finally admitted. Isabella was rather kind, but this world was perhaps too cruel for such a soul.
Hearing the response from the girl beside him, Adrian couldn’t help but sigh while looking at her. If it had been anyone else, he would probably have scolded them, but with Isabella it was impossible.
"You think it’s sad... If their descendants had been worthy of their predecessors, none of this would have happened. Those bastards lowered themselves to conspiring with The Spectrum. That’s the fate reserved for heretics," Adrian sneered coldly.
"Anyway, what’s done is done. We should prepare on our side. The other factions have already started moving... If we manage to absorb the remaining resources of those vile creatures, their death will at least have served some purpose."
"...I think it’s still a good thing that a heretical family was exterminated. Who knows what could have happened," Isabella sighed, trying her best to convince herself.
"Who knows, one’s misfortune is another’s fortune..." Adrian concluded, his smile still present. "Well, let’s move on... The new students won’t be long in arriving either. We should select useful elements among them."
"I’ve already thought about it honestly, and I even have a few names in mind..." Isabella began, presenting her plan to Adrian.
The academy was officially the place where the most talented of the young generation were to be trained, develop their talents, and reach their full potential. But behind the scenes, it was a miniature political arena where factions formed by the great families and ideological interests waged a constant cold war for control of resources, key rifts, and ultimately the kingdom’s future decision-makers. After all, the legendary families actually wanted to usurp the throne, and the elven clans were known for their rivalries.
It had become practically impossible for a student to survive, let alone thrive, without the support of one of the world’s leaders.
In this sphere, the imperial faction naturally stood out with the second prince in command. As an A-rank magical warrior blessed by Seraph Gabriel, allowing him to manipulate time and possessing the art Ephemeral Wake, Adrian had imposed himself with Isabella as his right hand and the simp Zane Kristen as his left hand.
However, this apparent unity hid cracks. The situation within the imperial family itself was complex. Besides his rivalry with his older brother, Adrian had to deal with their younger sister, Olivia Dantallion. Though an official member of the Imperial Faction, Olivia harbored her own ambitions: to emancipate herself from her brothers’ shadow and, against all odds, aim for the title of Empress.
To achieve this, she did not hesitate to maneuver in the shadows, weaving her own web of loyalties, subtly courting members who should have gone to Adrian, exploiting the flaws. Adrian’s left hand had fallen victim, becoming in love with her.
’That whore, honestly, what did I do to end up with this shitty family? A fucking older brother and that bitch for a sister...’ Adrian thought as Isabella continued her report.
