Extra: Yandere Milfs Obsessed with me!-Chapter 75: That Arrogant BitChapter .
The wyverns had not been completely eliminated during the previous attack. Some had regrouped far from the area but were attracted by the noise and the smell of blood. The dust was slowly settling on the broken rocks, and the cracks around the zone still vibrated with unstable heat.
The elves of the Sol clan remained on guard. They knew that these monsters never abandoned prey as long as they were still breathing.
A roar echoed in the distance. Then a second, deeper, like a response. Jezabel understood immediately. There were at least two young wyverns and a larger one, perhaps one approaching the adult stage. In this region, misestimating could cost the lives of an entire squadron.
The elves tightened their formations. They wanted to look good in front of their princess, but their gazes betrayed fear. Even though they were fire mages, wyverns had an endurance that basic spells took time to weaken.
A bolt flashed on the side. An elf had cast a spell to repel a wyvern approaching too fast.
<Elemental Magic: Lightning Strike>
The creature was shaken but stayed standing. Its mouth opened and it spat a blackish liquid that clung to the ground before corroding it. The elves immediately retreated.
Jezabel observed the scene. She could handle it alone, but she knew her subordinates did not have the same resistance. She gritted her teeth. She thought for a moment that she should have waited for her cousin Loyd.
He too belonged to the Sol clan, but his style was more methodical and less reckless than hers. He would have secured the perimeter more calmly.
"Even if I did well not to inform that crazy woman from the Spina clan. I still fucked up a bit. I’m going to lose a few shitheads today."
But it was too late.
The wyverns charged as a group. Their bodies struck the ground with a sharp noise. The air vibrated around their wings. The tension rose another notch.
Jezabel breathed deeply and raised her arm.
Heat escaped from her body. Her internal temperature rose rapidly, as if her magic was preparing her for a higher state. Her skin became more luminous, and a reddish veil formed around her.
She leaped into the sky with a quick bound.
Her blonde hair lifted. Her silhouette became enflamed. Red flames rose along her arms, and the burning air created a clear distortion around her. Even the elves of the Sol clan, accustomed to fire magic, stepped back.
She had no choice. The area attack was going to hit everything below her.
"Fall back," she shouted in a firm voice.
The elves obeyed immediately. They knew that disobeying Lady Jezabel could mean dying burned alive.
It was the fifth spell she had created upon becoming a fifth-circle mana mage.
Behind her back, a form appeared. The heat concentrated and outlined the contours of a creature. A flaming salamander, with a long and supple body, materialized. Its eyes were red and glowing. Its skin was composed of compact flames that undulated like a cloak.
It was her guardian spirit.
"What!? She has already bonded with a spirit of that level?" exclaimed a subordinate.
"What do you think, she has nothing to envy Lady Lynn of the Lake," retorted another.
The salamander opened its maw, and an accumulation of fire formed, growing rapidly, ready to be projected. Jezabel was already raising her hand to release the attack. She wanted to end everything in one blow. She knew that even if the others were hit, she had no other choice.
But something happened.
A silhouette appeared in the sky.
A blurry and extremely fast form.
The person jumped from one point to another as if the air had invisible steps. Jezabel narrowed her eyes. Even at that distance, she could see that this movement was not normal.
"What the..."
She immediately activated her magical perception.
<Mana Sense>
A fine vibration spread around her and condensed in her eyes. It was not as powerful as the Luna clan’s vision, but it was still effective.
The mana flows became more visible, like faintly glowing veins in the air. But what she saw made her hesitate.
"He is not using mana? And how is he walking in the air."
The silhouette approached at high speed. A black cape floated behind it. The person drew a sword with a quick and precise movement. Jezabel felt her heart contract for a brief instant. She did not have time to analyze whether it was an enemy or not. She had to react.
<Salamander Blow>
The salamander projected the gigantic fireball. It advanced like a compact blaze, ready to engulf everything in front of it. The wyverns were caught in the radius. The silhouette too.
For a fraction of a second, the flames illuminated the entire rift.
Then a sharp sound resonated.
*Shink!*
A white slash cut through the air in an arc.
A luminous slash crossed the fireball and cut it clean. The energy wave continued its trajectory and sliced the wyverns all around, their bodies dividing into two clean parts.
"It’s aura!?"
The trees around were sectioned in the same way. The precision was such that the cuts seemed smooth and straight.
"What?" murmured Jezabel, unable to mask her surprise.
"He cut my attack? Is that even possible?"
The silhouette landed softly on the ground, in front of her.
He easily measured one meter ninety. His mid-length silver hair was a bit dirty, as if he was returning from a long journey. His eyes were clear but tired.
His face had a calm and detached expression. His hand holding the sword had chains piercing his flesh, making his arm covered in blood.
Jezabel remained suspended for a few seconds before descending slowly.
"Who are you?" she asked in a cold tone.
"Is that how you thank someone who saved your subordinates."
He spoke in a light and amused tone.
"I never asked for help from a human, and especially not today."
"Ah, I see you are an arrogant noble lady~"
He smiled slightly, as if amused by her reaction, sheathed his sword in his ring, and then extended his hand toward her.
"My name is Kaiser, may I know the name of this noble lady?"
Jezabel snorted with contempt. She refused to touch his hand and turned her gaze away.
"A commoner has no need to know her name."
She turned to give directions to her squadron, without paying him further attention.
Kaiser shrugged.
"Okay~ Lady Elf~, go home safely."
He kept the same smile while crossing the rift as if nothing had happened. His gait was relaxed, without any tension. It looked like he was strolling, but the second he passed the rift.
"That arrogant bitch..."
